Is there any way (through mods or otherwise) to get the Galaxy S able to connect to the internet through a bluetooth connection?
I have a device that is able to share the connection via BT but as far as I know there's no readily apparent way for the Galaxy S to connect in this way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
I'm a happy owner of both a Nexus One and a Nook Color, both rooted and running CyanogenMod.
I got a full data access on my mobile so I can tether its connexion to either any laptop (using wifi or usb tethering) or the Nook Color (using wifi or bluetooth PAN). That's working quite fine even though this requires to get a good data signal strength covering the place you are.
Unfortunatelly, at work, I almost got no data access.
My laptop got full internet access via its LAN Ethernet adapter and has both wifi and bluetooth available.
My question is simple : How can I share my laptop's internet access with my android devices using bluetooth ?
PS : Even if I can only pair one of the two android devices with my laptop at a time, that still would rock !
Thanks !
Bump... I have the same question and exactly the same situation...!!
I have same problem here. My computer get full access internet via LAN, and just only have bluetooth connection (no wifi). How i can share it? symbian can share bluetooth internet connection with apps called GNUBOX. How about Android? Anyone can help??
I think that you can't use internet over bluetooth,
maybe you can try using internet over usb cable - it is supported in newer android updates

Friends,
I have Samsung Galaxy3 with BSNL 3G. I want to share my 3G connection with my office PC(WinXP) via Bluetooth.
The problem is,
1. G3 doesn't support Bluetooth WAN. So, Am not being able to use Bluetooth tethering even with Wireless tethering applications.
2. I am able to use G3 as GSM Modem via Bluetooth and establish i-net connection. But, It only works for first couple of pages. But, afterwards, no webpage opens. Eventhough 'Network Connctions' shows it as conncted.
So Guys, What to do?
1. Can I enable BT teherng in G3?
2. I thereany solution to problem 2?
Thanxx.
P.S.- USB Tethering works flawlessly & I am on Stock Froyo.
I doubt if we can share the internet via bluetooth. But a better option is to use wifi ap. That is a better and works. I have even observed that wifi ap is faster that usb tethering.

I don't have wi-fi in my PC. I will need to buy wi-fi dongle to us wi-fi. I already have BT dongle, that' why my first preference is BT.
Hi,
After enabling wireless tethering on my Galaxy Note 10.1, i can successfully connect my laptop to the wireless network. But I cannot access the internet. I am able to browse the net fine on the tab but i cannot get any internet access via my laptop.
Extra info: I get a request timeout if i try to ping 4.2.2.2 on my laptop.
Any help on resolving this would be much appreciated.

Saf
Hi,
I'd like to share internet connection from notebook to android without using WiFi. I've already followed some USB reverse-tethering instructions, but with no results. The thing is - in our college dormitories, we have only wired connection and it's forbidden to create WiFi networks (don't ask me why) and they scan the network and detect routers and access points. So is there any way to do this through USB or bluetooth?
I have Nexus 4, no root, stock ROM. If it was absolutely necessary, I'd root that.
Thank you.
Hi,
First, I would Iike to thank you for the creation of this forum and the helpful organisation of it.
Now my two small issues:
I've a Nexus 7 2013 in my car's dashboard. I've connected my phone (for tethering and Make phone calls via tablet) to it via Bluetooth.
Now I've a backup camera that connects via Wi-Fi to my tablet. The problem here is that the camera is not connected to Internet, so my Wi-Fi connection keeps dropping as android don't like to keep connected to connections without internet. Without root, is there any way to solve this? Android asks me if I want to keep connected to this Wi-Fi, even without internet, which I confirm and tick the box to don't ask again, but it keeps asking.
When I manage to connect to Wi-Fi, for some reason I loose Internet connection via Bluetooth, as android seems to give preference to the backup camera Wi-Fi. Is there any way to force the Internet connection via Bluetooth only?
Thank you so much
Andre
