thats false, its out, has been for a while, ive got it. servers might be busy though, its a fairly large game.

Same problem here.
Download of extra content starts okay, but after 20mins, or so of slow download speed it times out with the same message 'cannot connect to server'.
Been back & forth with e-mails to Hyper Devbox (pretty helpful), still got no joy.
They suggested un-installing Astro File Manager, as others had, had issues with that.
I didn't have it, but un-installed; ES Task Manager, Droidwall, Juice Defender. With no fix.
Other things they suggested were:
1) you will need a wifi with port 8080 not firewalled to access the delivery server, so be sure also that your wifi is not using any proxy on port 8080.
2) you will also need to have the latest android market application installed because of the Licensing purchase validation API provided by Google which may fail to connect on older version of the Android market application.
3) you can try to mount the sdcard, delete the whole content of sdcard:\\hyperdevbox\ss , unmount, deinstall the APK and redownloaed the latest version 1.7 from the android market just to be sure that you are running the latest version (we updated the game recently but apparently you have alrady done this)
4) be sure to not have the APK moved to sdcard by a 3rd party application otherwiese it will not work, the APK must stay in the internal phone memory.
.........no luck here. Anybody sorted this?
EDIT! - It seems it was my slow download speed (4meg-ish) that was causing the problems. Seems as though the server will drop the connection after so long.
I connected at work & downloaded no problem.

I've just downloaded (twice) the AT&T TouchFlo ROM 6 from your directed site and while either extracting the two files out to another folder or by just clicking the .exe file, I get a file is corrupt error for the nbh file. I'm using winRAR and winzip...

I found a solution, I had the same problem.
the problem was with my ISP(i'm using comcast basic 6Mbps). they cashed the whole website, and the files that had been cashed were corrupted. i found this because i got a higher download speed than usual, so it was obvious that i didnt get the original file. i tried every browser and downloads managers but they didn't work. but i download XB browser( aka torpark) and i was able to download the file, because it connects with different proxy's from different servers around the world,( this program is for people who want to surf anonymously in the web) so i downloaded the files and they worked, but the speed was really crappy.
search for xB browser or torpark on the Google it's free.

Thanks for the direction... but seriously, why isn't this getting a sticky?!! I'm sure there must be a lot of us out there with the same problem.. considering Comcast covers customers all the way to middle earth.
But thanks once again... I'll check out the browser on google now. the funny thing is that my dl was pretty crappy and about 1/5th the usual speed using FF2.0 and Vista. Oh well.. hope this works
If not.. I hope someone puts the file up on Rapidshare or something.

lungothrin... I download the browser but it was having trouble even opening google.com so I just thought to tether my Tilt since I have the unlimited plan and thus ensuring that it won't be going via comcast.. and volla!! I could dl it via FF itself and the speed was around 50kbps.
So.. that s another way to do it.

There are many different country members in this forum. It is difficult to get a free hosting site that works for everyone and in every country.
I paid both RapidShare and Megaload for premium service. Here in China, I am lucky if I can get the download rate more than 12.5K. Quite often it is only a few K. Without premium service, all I got is a "All lines allocated to your country are used up now, call back a few hours later." message. Long download time prone to get corrupted files.
I am still downloading Dutty's Hybid #7 this moment. It has been two days,all files I downloaded were either corrupted or hung in the middle.

2+ days to d/l a 60 meg file.. I feel your pain man.. wow, I can't even recollect the last time for me similar to that... and you're right, the worst part is when the darn thing d/ls its gonna be prone to errors in the files.. I was able to d/l it via my phone's connection which was a steady 50kbps while tethering... didn't mean to rub-it-in.. merely stating a fact

Is there any sort of download manager etc... or way to resume downloads on windows mobile? I finally got a data plan but half the time when I try to download things they stop part of way through. The only free thing ive found is a program called pocket downloader but it only works on wifi and lan for some reason.

The IE I have seems to cache everything to main memory first before transfering to my card. Means it fails on anything above 25mb or so

EZdownload has problems. Not really made for windows mobile 6. Very unresponsive and couldn't get it to dl.
AED, not really sure whats up with it. Was avoiding it since its java but went ahead and tried it. The 4.4.5 just gives me errors when I try to download something.

Are their any REAL reviews on this phone?
The mobile Facebook app and Youtube app is fine, also Gmail is working as IMAP...but I can't find any games that work. Google Latitude is, well, it won't find my location at all.
All of them pop up as "this app is not for this device", or something like that.
Are there any NES or SNES emu's that will work w/ this phone? Hell...and games at all????

You may need to security unlock ur phone before u run unsigned or self-signed apps, then all should work ok. I am not sure how to unlock a pantech, but try these 3 files attached in the zip file, in the order the files are numbered, 1 then 2 then 3, reboot. If that doesn't work, you need to google it. Just a note Security/App Unlock is NOT the same as GSM/Carrier Unlock.

Where do I need to put these files on my phone?
Just try one them try to install the Emu?...if it doesn't work remove it and try the next one?

unzip all 3, copy all to the root for phone "\" via ActiveSync or Windws Mobile Center if its Vista u have, run from 1 to 3 on the phone itself.
Alternatively u can try running the below file if the above doesnt work, this one u run it from ur desktop while the phone is connected. For me the above method is better as it also install the certificates required by some self-signed apps.
I tried the things you said above.
When I do #1 and #3 on my phone, I get a message that says "Change of device settings unsuccessful"...."The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions".
#2 Just opens up the web browser to a bunch of code.
The program you posted says they phone is unlocked when I run it, but when I try to install an Emu (like PocketNester) the my laptop prompts me to check phone for additional step...the phone says "The installation file is not intended for this device".
What is going on w/ this phone?

Those are for PocketPC NOT Smartphone, most PPC Apps will refuse to install on Smartphones.
Also when u get "The installation file is not intended for this device". it means ur trying to either install PocketPC apps or apps made for diffrent CPU Architecture.
It seems u want SNES emulator, try installing the latest ver from here http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-software-games/237589/pocketsnes-1-53/ the guy says it works on Smartphones. If u still get that error, it is a CPU thing. Also try installing something for Smartphone see if it works or ur phone is still security locked.

I have just stumbled across this The .cab file linked from the Digital Spy forum is attached. It is an app to access Sky Remote Record from a WM device.
I have been waiting for something like this for a looooooooong time.
I have checked it out and it works and is easy to use. The only problem I have at the moment is that it does not appear to close properly... had to use task manager to close it.
does it have a monthly fee?

Ive had no problems downloading and installing Co0kie's Home Tab Editor, BsB Tweaks, Microsoft .NET etc. so I don't think it's me (but I could be wrong).
Has anyone had this problem and resolved it, or can think of something else I can try?

I downloaded from the site and installed without a problem. The only problem i have is that it does not close. If i use task manager to close it ,it does not work and i have to reinstall it to get it to work. The only way i can get it to work consistantly it to reset the device after i have set the recording.
It seems pretty unstable. I will keep an eye on any updates.
That's strange. I've now managed to install it ok thanks to a reply on another thread i'd started. I agree that it doesn't close but it definately gets closed via task manager and I don't have to reinstall it. Try the CAB file provided as a reply to my other post in the new thread (search for my posts - I only have three - and you'll see the thread). That CAB seemed to work fine.
Hi, I've used this for a while too and also have to open my task manager to ensure it is closed properly.
Also, I find it very difficult to type on the small keyboard when logging in....but maybe that's just my fat fingers

Try installing the attached cab.
It has the same name as the cab in post 1 but it's the one i use and i have no problems with it at all. Everything works as it should and it closes properly.

Me too. I select ok on the "data total exit screen" and it drops me back to the main menu of the app. Have to press home then task manager to close it. If I then re-load the app I cannot load details of a TV programme. Thus making the app unuseable :0(

it lets you view sky channels and record sky programs remotely. you have to set up your sky account first (username/password) but its free and it works!

I've been using this for quite some time. It works, in the sense that I can start it, browse sky listings, get prog info and set recordings (most important features!). It is not working, or a bit poor, in the following areas... won't close (though mine does close in task manager and no restart issues), keyboard in waaaayyy too small and really hard to use, scrolling though channels is slow and tedious and there are occasional crashes.
However, it lets me record when I'm away, so I'm grateful... needs some work though to be a complete package.

I to am having problems with this app. When first installed and first time use it works ok but does fail to close. When you use again it fails to connect when you press record and times out. But only on certain pages the news channels always seems to work but all channels and the movies only work sometimes. I have tried a power off and back on but seems to make no difference. I do notice that the pass word box is emty after you have saved it so could this be a problem?
Since I flashed my ROM to Energy's I have not been able to sign into this app with my Sky ID - I get a 'failed to connect to authentication service' error. Has anyone else encountered this? Could it be due to my flashed ROM?
Ok, so I just got my Dell streak on O2 - first thing I did was install 2.1 on it.
when trying to sign into my googlemail account, it kept saying I had no connection (even though I was on wifi, and the browser worked on both streak and my mbp). After trying and try I decided to use the O2 sim that came with the phone (i was using my previous one still on iphone tarrif) and turned off wifi - this allowed me to sign into the market.
I found a handful of apps I wanted to download, but when I go to the download page, they all just say "starting download", the bars are animated but nothing is happening. I have tried this with both wifi on and off.
Is this a 2.1 issue?
I love the phone/tablet (phablet?) but not having access to the marketplace sucks! I also can't sync my contacts!

Also have the same problem with downloading apps from the "Market", but mine are on the Motorola Milestone, already preloaded with 2.1 ()Eclair. Simply won't let me download any apps, which is a minor problem I 1st had with my old HTC Wildfire, but automatically overcome. Help is greatly needed, thanks.
This is a 2.1/2.2 bug in the Market, which Google has to fix.
Try leaving it on "Downloading..." for a bit, it might start. Else you can try cancel-install a few times, that should get it going.
I thought they fixed this for 2.1, but they obviously didn't :/

Would there be any other problems other than the OS that could prevent apps from being downloaded from the "Andorid Market"? Because I've tried the above steps and I'm gettin' nothing.

i have 2 phones ACER stream and HTC Desire, both have the problem....
my desire was working fine.. but the acer was not, and i tried to play around with the my google account... Now i cant use MARKETPLACE on either one..!!!!

Have you looked at the logcat? Anything of interest in there? Maybe try posting this...
