[Q] How to overlock HTC Wildfire ? | Please help me , I'm new at this. - General Questions and Answers

Hey , I bought HTC Wildfire and it's my first Android phone.
My classmate told me that I have to overlock it , to get better fps aka no lag , example for games.
I didn't understand what is that so I asked what is it , he told me that I have to read it from forums and I must download something from internet.
Well anyway I didn't found any good guide for overlock HTC Wildfire.
Can someone who's trustful and won't fu*k my phone up , will help me , how to overlock HTC Wildfire. Please someone help.
PS. I need good help because I don't know where are some files and stuff. :d
Tnx ,

You would have to flash a custom kernel that supports running at higher frequencies, or a ROM with an overclockable kernel built in. I'm not sure what the dev support is like for the Wildfire or if a custom kernel is available, but i will say that it's a waste of time and you'd probably see no advantage in it anyway.

Which ROMs can be used for the Samsung Spica?

Hi all,
Sorry 'bout the n00b question - but are there any of the custom ROM's out there which can be used for the Samsung Spica? I think my Spica is so darn slow, so really want to spice it up a little.
Just come off a SE Xperia X1, and used to flash it every other day - which I kinda miss on my Android device.
So - how is my outlook here?
Happy new year!
No one knows anything about this?

Not going to get much help here. After all this is a forum for HTC devices. AFAIK there is'nt a lot of custom ROm development for the spica apart from Leshak's ROM. you could google it.
Cheers
Try samdroid.net. There are active forums for samsung spica rooting, kernals and custom roms alongwith lots of tweaks and mods/
Hey
I have the following
Baseband version-i570EJXJC2
Kernel 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
build eclair jpjd7
Questions-
1. Which of these is the PDA or CSC etc
2. what should i do..i have jc2....I cant use spica jc3.ops
3.all i want is to root my phone and use app2sd since my phone memory is always full.
I cant use LESHAKS........... lk2 mod without being on lk mod i guess...also this firmware is what i got here in dubai. please help me root my phone...I am so confused with this firmware. only after i flash a good european firmware and root it can i use custom roms right?
AFAIK, the only stable and popular ROM, is the one from Leshack.... lets hope cyanogen releases something... i think both can take profit of each other's work and release something wonderful (froyo + multitouch + overclock + 3D driver.... etc...)

[Q] Some questions About Samsung I5800

I bought a Samsung galaxy 3 , here in spain. How can I do a overclock? and if it is posible. What the max. overclock posible to this phone?.
and the last question! xD. Why change the kernel on a android phone is better than the nomal kernel? thanks. (sorry for my bad english and for my ignorance about android)
As far as i know you cant overclock it. You can underclock it though. If there is a way to overclock it i'd be interested too.
Somewhere I read that Samsung Galaxy kernel doesn't support over clocking.
So I think if one replaces the kernel it is very much possible.
I could upgrade to froyo but couldn't find any way to overclock.

Yeah, some of the devs need to enable the overclocking of CPU in the kernel itself.... Customised for us !! :/

Samsung releases firmware for the phones, like for us, it is jpq, jpm, jpf, jps
All are more speedier and improved than the previous firmwares
To get optimum speed & stablilty, try out yourself with experiments which your phone responds to best!

[Q] Htc rhyme custom kernal?

Hello,
my phone is htc rhyme. i want to enable usb otg and overclock my phone. by searching, i found that you need to modify kernal to do it. Xperia Arc have a custom kernal on this forum which enables usb otg. and xperia play have kernal that overclocks upto 1.6ghz. both of these phones have same chip i.e. Qualcomm MSM8255. i have android ics by ruu. htc is providing kernal. But i dont know how to modify kernal and add these features as you need ubantu to modify kernal. i have no experience with ubantu. Please i searched the whole forum and google and didnt found a single custom kernal for htc rhyme. i only found 2 custom roms, one of which links are dead. Please help.
Thanks,
sorry for bad english
anyone?
bump
