[Q] Anybody bought their Nexus S from Clove UK? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wanted to confirm if they are selling the S-AMOLED or the SC-LCD version. Yes I know it says in the product description that it's S-AMOLED, but some retailers just copy off specs from tech site without knowing that there are two different versions. I contact them, but they said "we're not aware of there being two different version, and we couldn't locate the product code outside the box(GT-i9020 or GT-i9023)"
So if anybody has bought one from clove, it'd be grateful to hear from you. Thanks.

Discount HTC or PDA phones

Does anyone know where to get discounted HTC or PDA phones I've searched all over but don't know how to search internationally for phones. I tried a guy from UK but got scammed on trying to get an Samsung Omnia. It was a Western Union scam that I found out about too late.
So no one knows a good website for discounted pda phones USA or International? Mods can close thread if seen fit.
A lot of folks use Ebay.com for used ppc's (U can verify the Sellers ratings & feedback).

T-Mobile UK

Hey folks, does anybody here work for T-Mobile UK? Or if any of you have done this could you let me know?
Does anyone know if you can buy handsets directly from T-Mobile without the contact? For example, buy the non-subsidised phone outright as you would buying a sim-free model from online retailers at the usual £200-£500 cost?
Currently can't call them to ask, and wanted their version of the handset from rather than other retailers.
Enter to marketplace, perhaps you can find some

Is there a way to check if phone is refurbished?

Is there a secret code of some sort (like RTN info) that you can use to figure out if the Pixel I have is new or refurbished?
I got a phone off eBay that was sold as new to me, but I wonder if I have a refurb device.
Tried *#*#786#*#* but that doesn't work.

Contact Google via settings menu and ask them. Provide them IMEI # and see what info they have.

At the Google Product forums, they said that Google doesn't give out this info. I will try this out and update here. But looks like it won't probably work.
Too bad there doesn't seem to be another way to check if a Pixel is new or refurbished.
The US has very stricked laws about selling anything Refurbished as new. Years ago Packardbell got in huge touble for selling refurbished PC as brand new ones. You can buy refurbished phones off of the Verizon site at a redused price, but they are cleary marked as sush. I'm sure other carriers do the same. I highly doubt that Google is selling refurbished phones and trying to pass them off as new. Even if they were, they wouldn't make it easy to tell, or find out.

I got this phone off eBay and not from an authorized seller like Google or Verizon.

Questions about Samsung Warranty, maybe Int/Global. Anyone with experience?

Planning to buy a International / Unlocked phone online (Amazon, Ebay, or some electronic / computer retailer) due to cheaper prices or better specs. Am I still backed by Samsung Canada or Samsung Global/International if phone is having issues/broken within 1st year. Yes or No for either/both ? I've read Samsung International can deal with it if I'm registered or something like that. Can anyone share their experiences?
If I buy phone from other Samsung Stores in other countries (US, UK or somewhere else) and have them shipped to me. Am I only covered for that country and nowhere else? (Example: I buy from Samsung UK, only their UK store covers my warranty. If there is any issues, I have to send the phone back to UK?)
Whats the best way get to their unlocked/International phones that actually has warranty? Apparently the specs for unlocked phones from Samsung Canada are not to my taste; looking at dual-sim which they don't have.
Thanks a million for all help.
