Alright just tested mms looks like we need a size fix for incoming and outgoing mms pics, just like on every HTC phone really wish they would get this right once

Hey all,
I'm running the latest Heinz 57 rom. Whenever I try to send an MMS message that is composed of words (not a picture, just a text message longer than 160 characters) from an application that is NOT the stock messaging application, it comes through very jumbled. Here is an example of what a text that was just words comes through as:
"T6 90 3Q: S$b _I4? i OI<LW(h^oGt #dn:'s5\Sib>'s5\Odn:_Mt=C hzG[1] 8zz'Qs? )b~'Q5Lw#j oI<M3 v 'U< Gjy OWs? )b GQ6O $~:_It 3 b~'Q5LO&n:_M4 o&m:_Mzm7 qZ7k5"
Anyone know what's going on here? If I send the MMS from the stock messaging application it works fine, but from Go SMS, Handcent etc it comes through like that.

I was on H57 and having the same problem, but I'm on the EE19 update now. Don't know how to fix the problem but hoping maybe the new roms for the EE19 will work. Just happy using stock MMS for now.

I have Chomped SMS. It doesn't do MMS? Or it doesn't do MMS on MY phone... It shows the pic in the screen but it never sends (called friend to confirm). I've got EB Froyo 1.05 with Faux's Kernel and Honeycomb theme.

Handcent SMS is superior to Chomp SMS.
Handcent just works. Sadly to say.
I like Chomp's look and everything, but it has these little bugs..
Handcent has been working just fine and dandy.
Handcent user here, but it has bugs of its own, I sometimes miss texts, or fail to download the MMS for some reason, etc..throw in a few multiple texts here and there, but overall it's the best SMS app I have seen

I have handcent and like it for the most part but I absolutely cannot send mms with it, I just get the constant rotating circle next to the message. So everytime I have to go to stock messager to send mms and it always sends immediateley.

It's not an issue I don't think. It's just like pinch to zoom so you can change font size

This happens to me actually. I'll go into the texting app and see that the text has turned small.

Don't agree, sorry. You can pinch to zoom to change the font size of the text bubbles, yes. But after the text has become small, if I use the pinch to zoom function to make everything bigger to the original normal size, after sending a few texts, the text will suddenly become super fat. Then I have to re-pinch/zoom back the big font down to a smaller size.
So... something is not right somewhere.
Mhm, it's a glitch, it was talked about before with no solution..
I had that issue but I just used titanium backup to restore messaging app plus data. That is if you have it backed up. If not go grab a messaging apk and that should fix your issue (hopefully more than temporarily)

I am using Genesis v1 Beta 9. MMS was working before I installed the inverted one. I found a different inverted MMS app that worked, but it was sub-par on looks and usability (wouldn't display contact names, only numbers).
When I try to send or receive mms, my signal bars gray out and the H disappears momentarily, then I am told there was an error downloading.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Obviously the regular mms and the other inverted one got it right...but also, no one else has complained about broken mms on the forum where I got the faulty inverted mms apk.

It seems that it really is a faulty mms. I would just re-install the app. Another way is to look up another inverted mms apk. I think that eagle's blood has a dark apps with mms apk in it. Just use that, I am pretty sure it is compatible.
I tried a couple different inverted/dark mms apps without success except for the ugly one (based on GB I think). I will try the EB mms apk and see how it goes. Otherwise I guess I will go back to a 3rd party app. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a mms mod that works very well. Its themed exactly like the settings kinda nice. I can email it to you if you like.

Does any one know of a fix for MMS messages ( pictures / pitctures with text) coming in a slideshow? I know I can use a third party app , but I like the stock one. I did like the mms app from AOKP but it FC when trying to send/recieve a picture message . Any suggestions
I too would like to know. I have always had that problem when receiving pics even though they weren't sent in a slideshow and it bugs the hell out of me that I can't zoom in on the pics cause they're on a slideshow.

It's something with the app itself, if you install a 3rd party sms app it doesn't do it but yea it's annoying as heck.
