This is not an HTC support line, you are not paying for help, nor can you " demand " it here. The people here are just phone users like your self, here to share their experiences with others.
If no one has had a similar experience, then you will get few answers.
Perhaps you misunderstood my question. I know that your phone cannot make video calls. The question is does MobiNil support video calling.
MobiNil must support video calling
Edit 1 : By the way I love your Antique Theme, unfortunately I do not use Throttle Launcher, very nice though.

Video Telephony
Hi
There is a module for ROMs called Video Telephony. You may need to install this as well as a video dialer. Have a look for this module on here:

Just install a cab
Hi
I am suggesting that you just install the Video Telephony module as a .cab file. If it's not on Sakajati's download section then look elsewhere. Hopefully someone has made a cab of it somewhere.
Cheers

What we are all missing here is that the prophet only supports up to 2.75G, hence no 3G video calling.
Sorry the Jamin (aka prophet) doesnt and wont support video calling. Even if you install the vieo telephony package the carrier wont throw video calling down a GPRS/EDGE connection.

Hi, I have questions about google talk. So my brother and his girlfriend has a new Galaxy S II. So they can do a videocall with google talk.
My girlfriend and I, have a galaxy i5800 so we want to call us, but I don't see an option in google talk to call. Only in my brother's phone is the videocall, also, he can't call me, only send messages.
So, if only can to do videocalls, and not 'audio' calls, exist any way to emulate a cam to deceive google talk?
Thanks.
PD: I know Viber, but it consumes a lot of free RAM
the problem is: we don't have front cameras...
i don't use google talk so i can't help you with audio calls, but i suggest using skype. it improved a lot since the last update =)

This is why I ask to emule a cam.
Skype consume about 6-10mb per day without use. I have contracted 150mb per month, so I can't have skype installed on my phone. Also, consumes a lot of RAM

I think he is asking for a way to connect an external camera to the phone for Video Chat using Gtalk. Hmm I don t think that can be done. Maybe others could answer better.

No..... What I know is, google talk can ONLY do videocalls or chat, not 'audio' calls. So in Galaxy 3 you can't do videocalls because don't have a front cam, this is what i am asking for, to googletalk mislead into believing that has front cam, and open the possibility to do a false videocall, but a call at the end
Ok, there are several thread about the nexus s and the call recording problem, but it's still a mistery why all call recorders on the market don't work on this phone.
Is it a hardware limitation? Does the nexus one \ galaxy nexus have problems in recording calls?
I'm new to android, I bought this phone last week because I saw a lot of recording apps on the market and I tought they were ok.
This is a main feature for me, and I'm thinking to sell the nexus (despite I love it) if I don't find a solution
Plz don't let this thread die, like the others.
mm nobody has a solution?
Hmm..is it illegal to record call? (maybe wrong.)
Anyway, try flashing MIUI GB (BM, KelLMSKing..etc), they have call record on its feature.
But dunno it works well.
Hope it works well on you.
Call recording is blocked on all stock ROMs simply because of legal/privacy ramifications. The only way to do it is through a custom ROM but even Cyanogenmod team does not allow it.

I dunno about the NS but on my old Evo Shift the stock CM7 kernel supported call recording. From what I understand its just a patch that needs to be added to the kernel. As far as illegality it varies from country to country and state to state. Personally I liked having it as an option.

Oh, you're right. In our and another country, it is illegal.. (However, I don't know Nexus S doesn't have it because of it..)
And I failed it on GB MIUI.. But I wonder if It is limited to me

yes, I'm doing researches on this community and on google, but I always find the same 4-5 topics, where nobody knows how to do.
On the KelLMSKing kernel:

Also I can't find anything useful in brainmaster kernel...

Hmm.
You failed to recording call with MIUI GB?
Let me try MIUI GB call record and I will reply result of my test on this thread.
Maybe I need to use older version of MIUI GB; Formels(not a KelLMSKing), etc.
I emaild skvalex, creator of Call Recorder

The answer was: "CallRecorder doesnt support your phone*"
wow thanks, but I still don't know why. If it's a hardware problem, or just lazy programmer that don't want to write a patch for the kernel.

Have tests on three different MIUI GB.
1.11.18 MIUI Brainmaster, KelLMSKing MIUI 2.8.1/2.9.5, MIUI Galnet GB 2.2.10
Flash, 10 minute stablization, reboot, test.
(Thx for my bro's Galaxy S)
That three MIUI has REC button during call(both in/out), but disabled(inactivated).
My NS' battery is almost out, so my tests are over for now.
(Writing in internet club, but no one has usb data cable!)
Sorry for bad result bros
Maybe next time Ill try more, if i dare

google voice has call recording for incoming calls by pressing 4, it then announces the call is being recorded for the purpose of consent.
if someone calls you and you press 4 it announces the call is being recorded. if the person calling you does not want to be recorded they can hang up,

Well, the problem here is that in many cases call recording is illegal. This depends on where you live, and can get kind of complicated. I know there are some apps, but you millage will vary. Search around.
On ME roms there is a built in call recording aplication. Only the MB roms not allowed the call recording.
it seems you are from India, if your phone is not AT&T then just flash JB leak 4.1.2, it has the call recording function.
miui 4 got automatic call recording.

Could you all be kind enough to post links for the roms you are referring to in your above quoted posts. I will be very very grateful for any help in resolving the issue as it would help me finalise my choice of handset. Thanks very much in advance.

Dear XDA Developers,
I have tried to find an app for Phone Call recording directly from the Phone line instead of Mic for my HOXL.
I tried with all apps on the Play but none of them are working for HOXL.
From the other posts on Call Recorder I understood that Phone line recording should be enabled from the Kernel being used for the ROM.
Currently I am using Carbon 1.8 with 3.4 kernel of the ROM.
Kindly suggest me an application or Kernel which will help me to record the phone calls directly from Phone line.
Thanks in Advance!!
Regards,
Sathish804.
I've seen a few posts like this in the past, none of which were ever resolved to my knowledge.

I have seen following post for HOX.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663642
But when I have tried to check this with HOXL I am unable to find the system/etc/soundimage/Sound_Phone_Original_REC.txt file on Carbon ROM.
If developers consider developing call recording in ROM's or in any Kernel for future will be really good.
Android lacking this feature is quite disappointment.

Sathish804.

I disagree since recording calls is a grey area. I'd rather not have someone record my calls unless I give consent and i'm sure many people feel the same way.
Yeah I have to agree there, I certainly wouldn't want anyone recording my call without my knowledge. I'm pretty sure where I come from by law you have to notify whoever it is that you're recording the conversation.

I also agree with you.. My context of recording calls is to record my business conversations with my team which will be helpful for me to refer back to them to get any missing information.
Thanks and Regards,
