I think a title would be helpful here..
hmm accidently hit thanks.... any hooo have you tried hooking it up to your computer? Pull the battery for 10 seconds, then hold down power volume down and try to get back into recovery. If not then does your computer still recognize it in Hboot?

sorry its my first time posting and i didnt know what to do

If you can't open recovery you can flash it again by renaming the ROM PD98IMG.zip. What method did you use to root?

I got it to work I waited a while for the recovery to start. Then waited for it to do the recovery. Good thing I did a backup right before and I used HTC_Inspire_4G_Simple_Root_S-OFF_RC1

Hmmm....After holding power and vol down the android screen should pop up. Then release the buttons and it should go into the menu. I have no idea why the recovery did not successfully install.
Have you used the one-click method before on the G2x?

Well crap...that sucks. Maybe the partitions got messed up. A few people have had that issue. It can create all sorts of trouble. Or it could possible an ext 3 vs ext 4 issue depending on what rom you had and what you restored. It will take someone a lot more knowledgeable than myself to help you. Good luck.
Take battery out put it back in then hold volume down and power
i did that but ever since i flash the rom on the recovery to if it help to flash partition on it the phone die completely it would not do anything and stays on a black screen.
it wont even try to bootup
anyways i tried several methods and non of them worked other than ****ing it up more.
so i just called tmobile and asked for a replacement and it should be here tomorrow.
thanks to all the tried to help
It's not bricked. It turns on and boots. Just clear the Dalvik Cache in Clockworkmod Recovery.

Then use the One Click Recovery Flasher in APX mode to reflash recovery, then try to go into recovery again by turning on while holding the volume down key. If that doesn't work then find the method for flashing the Gingerbread ROM in APX mode. If that doesn't work I have no other suggestions for you.
I'm in the same situation with my G2x. Were you able to fix it? If so, how?
Update: Got it fixed. As jcbofkc recommended, doing the OneClick NvFlasher got me back up and running. Thanks!

Then you some how doing it wrong then because every person I said that too has said that it helped them get into the bootloader. As soon as it turns off let quickly let go off the power button but still keeping hold of Vol- and then press and hold the power button. And as added bonus flash TWRP recovery when you get into the bootloader then you wont have it booting into recovery like it's doing now.

All your way does as i stated on the other forum is it goes off a green line flashes across the screen, the charge light goes on and off a few times, green light flashes again and then it goes into clockwork recovery. even telling adb to reboot into bootloader does not work

Em not really most of it is copy and paste anyway but before doing that I think it be best you flash TWRP recovery so it should be easy to get into the bootloader again.

Htc Sensation boot problem

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Htc Sensation for two weeks now and I'm a little bit desperate about it's condition...
It wont go on by itself and the only way to turn it on is to connect it into the charger. When I do this, the red power led is on and then it opens Clockworkmod for 0.5 seconds and then the phone turns off. One second later all this repeated.
I've already put Cwm on it and it worked fine. I copied Superuser.zip on an sd card and flashed it on my phone. all this went good and it worked smoothly. Then one time my batery died and i connected it in the charger. After it was charged I turned my phone on and just as normal it opened cwm. Then i get into a bootloop ( I think?). I selected ''reboot phone'' and the screen went black and I went into cwm again. I thought it would be fixed when I put on a Custom ROM ( Insert Coin ).I did this by flashing it in CWM without a wipe or anything. This didn't help. I've searched a bit and i flashed a zip file ( i forget what ) to fix it and it worked. Then the start screen of Insert Coin appeared and it froze. I put the batery out and started up again. This happened a few times and then I gave it up.
One week later I tried again put it on and it went into this state. I dont know what to do so I appreciate a solution.
Ps: I'm Dutch so my English isn't that great...:silly:
S-ON or S-OFF?
if you are S-ON
flash 4ext recovery
enable smartflash from it
then flash the rom

Thanks for the quick respond.
I Think S-OFF. But I cant do anythink because I cant open CWM. The CWM sign appeared for a second and then it turns itself off...

No I can't. I can't turn it on by holding the power button or power button+vol down. It only does something when I put it in the charger and then it just ''flash'' the cwm sign and then I get a black screen. It is rooted and I placed a custom ROM on it without a wipe. Is this maybe the problem?
Have you tired to get into recovery by pulling battery, put battery back in, press volume down and power, hold and see if bootloader comes up, if so press volume down for recovery, power for yes, and see if that brings you to recovery. If you haven't already tired this, give it a try. Hope this is helpful. And to answer your question, yes, you should Always wipe before installing another rom to prevent issues. Best wishes. Good luck.

if your phone boots into a black screen its not hardbricked, hardbricked means it wont turn on at all and you have no indicators

You may need to uncheck usb debugging in developer options then reboot and go in and check usb debugging again then try adb tools using adb devices and see if it works then. Some m8's can be a real pain that way you just need to keep trying.

I would run the newest ruu that dottat has posted in the android development section for this phone, put it on your sd card using your computer, then put it back in your phone and boot to fastboot and let it pick it up and hit I believe it is yes and it will restore your phone. You are on 4.4.4 right ? If you are having problems getting to fastboot hold power and volume up until you see the lights change and or it vibrate then quickly switch to power and volume down and it should take you to fastboot, it may take you multiple tries to get it there. This sounds like the screen of death issues people have had on viperone which the fix for that so far has been to reverse the 4g handoff fix as most people that have the sod they had used the 4g handoff fix but if you cant get past the black screen then you cant do the fix for that. Have you tried leaving your phone sit for a while to see if it comes out of it ? Also most people only had that issue in weak signal areas so a good signal area could get your screen working again if you had done the 4g handoff fix. If you did some have said that the change can stick even through a ruu, but I cannot verify that either way.
Can I say I'm having an almost same problem.
I wiped my phone in prep of loading a new rom.
RUU the firmware for 4.4.4
Loaded twrp
and then it rebooted to the htc screen.
Now I can't get past that screen. I can hard reboot but it only comes back to that screen. and if I try to access it through the computer it can't load the driver so that I can sideload.
Help please

it's tricky to get it back to hboot... but you can with practice. Hold power a both volume buttons until you think it finally has rebooted. Switch to only holding vol down to enter hboot. Timing and practice makes perfect.
It took about an hour of trying. But I did it. Plus I had to do a few other things to get things remounted.

Once I was back in recovery I reformatted before rebooting and then from recovery I installed the rom.

I agree with Dottat, faced the same issue when trying to flash ARHD 22.1 on my Verizon M8. I think I sprayed some **** in my pants with that loud fart .
After trying several times I got the trick and could get into Hboot. The issue I think was I was holding Power + Volume up & down for more than required time and it Rebooted. We need to Switch Off the device by Holding Power + Volume UP & Down button for about 8-10 secs and then just remove the finger from Volume UP button. It takes you to Hboot mode..

Rebooting for infinity

Hi,
This is my first post so im sorry if I dont explain myself very well, I still practising English.
Anyway, yesterday I was chatting via whatsapp on my Nexus 5 16gb with CyanogenMod 12.1 and sundely it stars rebooting, i thought that i press the power button but when the Cyanogen logo was loading, it started to reboot again and again. When the cyanogen logo apears it reboot again. I can get into the phone a few times but it reboots again and I cant enter the twp to wipe or reinstall another room. I also tried to flash with ADB but i cant enter the recovery mode because it reboots again. I dont know why is this happenig or how can I fix it.
If anyone knows or is in the same trouble let me know thank you.

Sounds to me like u have the famed stuck power button that plagues the Nexus 5, if I were u, I would try getting into bootloader mode by holding volume down while it's booting, if that doesn't work and u continue to be stuck in a boot loop, then its def the power button, take the device apart, CAREFULLY, and spray some air into the power button to try and losen it, if that doesn't work then ur going to have to have it replaced

I don't understand why is this happenig because i was with the device in my hands when its started to reboot. Dont even fall of or nothing like that... Anyway thanks for the info, now i know that its not the Rom or something like that.
