[Q] email client with password - Android Apps and Games

Hey,
just wondering if anyone has ever come across an andriod email client app, that you can get pop3 emails, and be protected by a password to view the emails.
I am looking for the same thing like in handcent sms. where you have to draw a pattern to read/sent messages.
My whole purpose not have to lock the phone with a draw pattern or password so people can use the phone for gaming or browsing, but still protect my emails from being read. Any ideas?
Thank you for your time.
edit:
i am sorry for posting this is the wrong section. I realize now after i posted. i could not find out to delete this post...

Password Protected Messages

Is there a software somewhere out there which allows a PPC user to password protect SMS and Outlook messages? I get so pissed off at people who touch my phone and immediately start scrolling through messages. Please don't tell me about locking the whole phone because that is not what I am after.
When I was using a symbian I had an application called MumSMS+ and it would hide certain text messages and it was quite handy.
hey theres an application called smsorganiser through which u can hide/export sms etc.. check it out
i think what u want to do is password protect the sms area Eye On Privacy Pocket PC should do it.
i haven't gotten around to install anything yet.
post of u have gotten anything better already

Html-mail -- Internet pictures blocked

Hello all,
Is there a way to automatically download pictures in html-mail? Now my device says: "To protect your privacy, pictures from the Internet are not automatically downloaded." Very annoying ...
I have a HTC P3300 with windows mobile 6 (Meschle's ROM)
Thanks
Automatic pic download?????
I was thinking the same thing....Im trying to find out now
...this has got to be THE most annoying thing EVER...
I've been looking for a solution to this one too...
I want my html email to be ACTUAL html WITH pictures by default...whats the point of blocking the pictures? You might as wel just use text email instead...!
PLEASE post the solution to this if you find it...
afaik if you get a spam mail with images, and these are downloaded, they recognize it and then you will get TONS of spam.
so the first spam mail is just a test for that e-mail address.

This I understand. But with respect, that still has nothing to do with wanting the option of turning the images on or off of my own volition.
Not to mention in MY case, I have rules set up that move email from my contact address book to a folder called "sync" - and thats the only folder that I am syncing to my mobile. were talking friends and business clients...NOT anything else...so in my case, that rule fails...what...3x a year...if that.
Again, anyone know how to turn OFF the automatic picture blocking of html email on wm6?
Drat! Had hoped I'd find a solution to this problem, but it looks like I'll have to keep searching, like everyone else? Doesn't make sense that there wouldn't be an options setting or registry flag to control this behavior since it is so annoying to some of us...
anyone ever find a way to do this? I see lots of threads about it but no answers.
There is still No Answer on this Forum or any other that I have found. I moved to Qmail and Am very happy, of Course it has its own challenges.
I'm also looking for a solution to this.
so Bumpety Bump Bump!!!
Some solution please ....

[Q] Disable conversation view gmail?

How do i disable conversation view in gmail on android ... it isn't that i don't like conversation view ... the issue that i have with it is when enabled you cannot assign different labels to different threads within one conversation
Thanks in advance
Kris
Wow no one interested in this? I have the same question for my galaxy s
Same question here... can't stand conversation view on anything. Maybe just not used to it... but anyways....
Is there a way to disable conversation view in the Gmail app?
Same with me.
Same here too. I know that you now have the ability to switch off conversation view in desktop gmail. Need the same for android gmail. Perhaps in a future update Google?
Perhaps some time in the very distant future, by the looks of it
Google developers seem to be focussed on teenagers (in an effort to compete with Apple, perhaps?), who invariably receive tiny e-mails and have no problem with dozens or even hundreds of messages being bundled together - but when you're actually trying to get anything of consequence accomplished via e-mail, you'll very quickly find yourself rushing to the nearest computer to open your Gmail, 'cause stumbling through dozens of hundred-line-long messages in threaded view on the 'phone is an utter nightmare.
For the time being, it looks like the only solution is to enable IMAP in your Gmail account, then use K-9 Mail to access it that way (and disable mail synchronisation in Android for your Gmail account so you don't get double the notifications).

[Q] New EMail problem

After searching google and the local forum search I've seen no other instances of this. My apologies if it's been discussed. I'm running Android 2.3.1 with kernel 2.6.35.7-g7f1638a. I'm using the default EMail app to access a private email server. So the inbox loads the 25 most recent messages. So far so good. But when I delete some it then redownloads the older messages and reflags them as new. I'm constantly being told I have new emails because it's flagging old ones as new after it reloads them. I have not seen any option to change the number of emails it loads or anything else that might work around this. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior?

Could be an email server end problem. Should be set to mark messages retrieved by pop as read. It sounds like it's not, so every time your phone asks for new messages, the server serves them up again.
There might be an advanced setting on the email app's preferences or setup that can address this...look for something about leaving messages on server unread or similar.
I'm not currently using anything but gmail app, so can't double check on my own phone to give you clearer advice.

I have tried K-9 mail client and did not find the option i was looking for.
I have been looking for something like this myself.
No luck so far, but the sollution is relative easy.
*Use the marked to find an app locker.
*Password protect the mail app.
*Done.
If you choose a App Locker, look for the lock when screen is off, auto lock intervals etc. after your desired liking.
Hope this helps you out
hey thanks alot for the response.
I have looked at applications such as those, and i am currently using the app locker 2: fake crash app. Man i gotta say, that is sick app. its just i prefer the builtin security like with handcent.
