I have removed my Telnav app by accident. Does anyone know where I can get TN6.2-6201036.apk? Thanks for any assistance.
EDIT - Never mind, found the needed program on Telenav OTA website.

I just got the SGs4G and was trying to remove bloat, and accidently removed the My Account 1.0 and now I can't use the default Internet app keep getting the (Process com.android.browser) error. This normally wouldn't bother me, but I use the Voice Search often and that's default for the search soft key. Ideas on how to restore functions? I've done 3 factory resets, each doing nothing helpful. I've searched around and could find nothing on restoring.
Thanks for any help.
Grab myaccount from the market.

I have installed it from the market but it did nothing to help. Did I delete something that cannot be replaced?
the MyAccount app shouldn't have dependencies. I'll look into this once I get the loaner device I am being sent to get CWM working.

Try downloading the bloat.zip here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=996340
Then get the MyAccount-4-4-25.apk inside there and put it in your sd card and push it to your system/app folder.
Hopefully that will work.
Obviously you have root..
Are you running a firewall program on your phone like "Droidwall" ?
I also uninstalled the OEM version of MyAccount & when i downloaded the OTA version it wouldn't work because the firewall was set to disallow it.
Also when you removed the "MyAccount" what did you do it with? I could be you have a partial uninstall & the browser is looking for a hook that isn't there anymore that it thinks should be there.
The bloatware zip worked. Later for some reason the phone started lagging badly and T-Mobile swapped it instore. Worked for me. Thanks everyone.
Can you please help me?
Since yesterday my Nexus S (i9023 - rooted but with stock room) start getting trouble running the Market.
first it started to become really slow and the images didn't loaded and now no images also but on my apps only 3 appear and the appear as if they are not installed.
Do you know if this could be some type of "virus" or an incompatibility with some other app?
Many thanks for your help.
Probably not a virus, just go to application settings and clear the market data
It worked.
Thanks!
Also, if you use Titanium Backup, and longclick an application, there's an attach to market feature you could always try. (or detatch if u don't want the pesky updates).
Hello,
Fairly new to rooting/modding.
I rooted my S4G and did the FOTA replacement to clear up some space.
following that I installed Titianium backup and began removing bloatware safely... or so I thought.
Something I removed broke google maps from being able to auto switch to the Navigation app when choosing "get directions"
Google maps can't find my location at all via GPS... the icon blinks and blinks.
what I need is the stock ROM or stock bloatware to reinstall and hopefully fix this problem.
where can I locate the stock bloatware? can someone provide a working link?
I tried the one listed on (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025610&page=16) but it's been removed from dropbox.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom
You can try grabbing a stock rom from the dev section and extracting what you need out of it.

What did you remove? If the GPS is the only thing you're worried about, you should try GPS Aids. Get the paid version and restore your GPS folder. When you're outside go to GPS status and let it locate all nearby satellites. You should lock on almost immediately after that.
Hi, I (finally) updated my VZW Dinc phone to wildstang's 4.08.xxx ROM. Was much easier to do than I anticipated, so thank you wildstang. Forgot to backup my footprints before doing so and lost them all Anyways, my questions are as follows:
1. There are a series of apps which I thought I moved into app.disabled, however they still show up as being on my phone and have the icons in my apps list (e.g. 3G Mobile Hotspot, Amazon MP3, Apps (VZW), Twitter, and VZ Navigator). I'm guessing I must have missed a series of files and/or directories? Can someone please let me know what I need to do to move these?
2. Each and every time I turn off my GPS and then back on, I get this annoying message telling me "Standalone GPS Services: ...you are enabling access to all location information by any third party through the web,...." How do I remove that message/prevent it from being displayed?
Your help with these is much appreciated and thank you ahead of time.
I don't know about your device so I cant answer #2 but for the apps you can do a couple of things, uninstall it using titanium backup, delete it using root explorer from system/app or you could delete the apps from the rom zip and reflash it.
Press the thanks button if I have helped.
Play Store will auto undisable some apps so the only way to get rid of them is to uninstall them.
Hi,
I recently updated some apps, but I either don't like the new functionality or new appearance. I would like to know how I can downgrade the app to an older version. I did a quick search, and others on XDA suggested to just search for the .apk file with the desired version.
I just rooted my phone for the first time, so I weary about installing apps that not officially from the trusted app stores. If I do end up downloading the .apk file off the internet, is there a way to check whether the app is safe (free of viruses and malware)?
I did not have a backup app (ie. Titanium Backup) prior to factory resetting, then rooting my phone. The developers have already updated the app versions and will not respond to my request for the older version, so is there a way to resolve this or do I just deal with it?
Thanks in advance!
Ps. I have SGH-T999, CF-Auto Root running 4.1.2
I found a website that only allows downloads of free apps (latest and older versions) from the Google Playstore. It claims that the apps are free of viruses, spyware, and other malware. Clicking on paid apps will redirect to the Google Playstore, so no pirating here.
This website, Appsroid.com, looks like the perfect place for me to get what I want. I googled its online reputation, and it seems legit. Does anyone else have any experience/comments about this, since you guys are all more knowledgeable about this apps/software?
Thanks!
