Hello everyone.
Im not sure if Im on the right place but any way.
I have an xperia x1 and I wanted to test installing android on it.
I down loaded Purefroyo build and installed it with no problem.
The battery died and after that its impossible to start android again.
I get an error that says that the file haret.exe is not an valide file or that a file is missing.
I have formated the SD and made new partisions on it and now when I should install i get the same error.
The file "install" is not an valide file or some files are missing.

[/B]Hi,
I have downloaded and extracted the XDAndroid 2.1 .Then copied it to Storage card root.Clicked on Haret file leads me to a screen with "default.txt".Clilcking "Run" button throws the below exception: "Cannot open script file\Storage Card\default.txt.
Device: HTC Touch Pro 2 (Rhodium)
OS: WMO 6.5 Pro
Please assist.
Thanks!
I have the same problem. I believe the answer to be look at the folders that you copied over to your storage card. One of the folders is called "STARTUP CONFIG" I believe you go and pick out your phone and copy and paste the correct startup.txt in the root directory which Haret is located. I am doing it now and I got past that error, but still waiting for it to boot. It looks like it is getting stuck on an SD card error.

So I picked the startup from the RALP folder and I was stuck at the XDAndroid boot screen, so I am going to try something else.
Did you find out what was the problem.

I am getting the same problem. Anyone know how to install this thing and get past this error. It is on my card but says cannot open script file/storagecard/android/default.txt
Move "andboot\AndroidApps\startup.backup.txt" to "andboot\Default.txt""
Move "andboot\AndroidApps\startup.backup.txt" to "andboot\Default.txt" should solve this issue.
Hi!
I have an HTC Diamond and I'm trying to install Android, but I have some trouble
I read some guides but I'm not able to boot it!
I downloaded an archive with many files: zImage, system.sqsh, rootfs.img, initrd.gz, haret and so on... all of theese were in one zip archive.
I decompressed this archive in the "internal storage" (4GB), modified the "startup.txt" for my device etc...
Now, when I launch "haret.exe", the device start to boot Android until it returns an error: it can't mount sd card!
Why device crashes? how can I fix this?
I hope that it's understandable xD I know that my english isn't so good!
Many thanks to those who respond!
ps: I hope that this is the right sub-forum, if not I pray mods to move in the correct forum
Hi All, I am new to this forum and android world. I have a samsung galaxy wifi 5 android device running froyo 2.2.2. This is basically equivlent to IPod Touch (I guess). I am trying to make this device detect ad-hoc wireless connection so that i can connect this with my windows mobile phone. After some research I found that wpa_supplicant file needs to be modified. I have already found the patched and complied zip file here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961. I just need to know how do I flash this file in recovery. So far I have rooted my device, and installed ROM manager. Alos do I need any flash cards? Your help would be much appriciated. Thanks
Same boat here. Google hasn't seemed to help either.
How do you "flash" a zip file in Recovery?
Thanks
First you need ClockWorkMod and know how that phone's version works. Move the zip file that has the new ROM onto your sd card. Boot into ClockWorkMod. Then choose the zip file with ClockWorkMod.
yes google is your friends
but first insall recovery and after use it, choose the downloaded zip file and update your phone with it...
OK! When i copy all the files from the android folder and put it on my SD card it can't start! I run HARET.exe and it says ""The File Haret cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the this file"". I've restore it many times but nothing if someone can help me plss write an answer i really wanna run ANDROID on my XPERIA X1
