[APP] Spare Parts - Why wont settings stick? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

anyone know why when i change the font size in spare parts it quickly reverts to the default settings? it seems to change all fonts size but doesnt last long. once it changed right before my eyes just by rotating the phone to landscape. weird. would love to be able to make the font slightly smaller because one of my widgets gets cut off a little and a smaller font size fixes this. also, im not 80 years old and dont need a huge font to read. thanks

User Friendly
This is actually so ridiculous. 'Not so smart' phones like BB has at least 20 fonts to choose from and allows to make a choice for font size. I dont understand the so called open Android can not not have a simple setting like Font selection and size!!!
So much for open system and user friendliness!!!!

Size of Icons question

I recently purchased better cut to change icons, great application by the way.
I downloaded the android 2.0 icons from the market, they are great.
But I am now looking for other icons to replace my favorite apps. So far I found some really nice ones on the market (X-icons 1,2,3 and 4 are very complete and beautiful) but they all are a bit smaller than the regular ones.
Obviously I can make some myself but a) I don't know the resolution of the icons and b) it is quicker to get them somewhere on the internet
Does anybody knows where I can download icons for the X10?
Cheers,
Arnold
inorder to have quality display minimum Icon size should be 72px by 72px with 72dpi rez. preferably RGB to display most colors correctly.
I know u understand this very-well.
Ps: let me know what specific icons ur lookingfor, I might be able to get it 4 you

Is it possible to change font size ?

In spare parts there is an option to change the fontsize, I think that is a great option because I think the stock font size is way to big .. I use extra small in spare parts .. However the font size setting in spare parts will not stick, changing screen orientation or rebooting will reset the font size .. Is there a way that the font size can be changed and that it will stick ?
I noticed this with spare parts as well... the only thing i found is using "Root Tools" -jrummy. You can get in the market, and use it to flash new smaller font. That Worked for me...
But fyi one thing you may find some calculator buttons disappear depending on the font you choose...

How to Link to a different font, and not just replace a font

Hi All,
I have done a ton of searching the last few days and still have not come up with a specific answer. I am looking to link my lock screen font to a new font, and not just change or replace the font.
I am running a Moto DroidX with 2.3.3 (605) and using Go Launcher EX... just incase any of it matters.
My clock is not pulling from Clockopia.ttf, instead its pulling from the same font the rest of the system is (such as notifiers and such), and that is DroidSans-Bold. To test and make sure I was correct, I replaced the DroidSans with some wacky font, and it turned every peiece of system based font into the wacky one, clock and notifications included.
Because of this I am unable to easily change just the clock font. I wanted to replace the clock font with an invisible one so I could have a simple and easy way for my lock screen to look directly at my home screen with no clutter. I have read a few apps let you replace the lock screen, but don't really want to run anything new as a constant process just to hide a font. I'm also satisfied with the basic structure and functionality of the default lock screen minus the time and verizon banner. Does anyone know the specific config file and location where I can specify which font the lock screen pulls from?
Are there any apps, free or paid, that will help me accomplish this exact task? What I most liked about the invisible font was that it's easily reversible and all I had to do was backup the original font file. I've already bought several good utilities and am not affraid to pay for one more as long as it does what I want in a simple and reversible way... and Ideally will not run anything full time backround services.
Thanks.
Booo! No takers with some info on this one?

[Q] Bigger text

¿Is there any possibility to get the text bigger?
I've stock ROM.
Thanks
There are some apps available to change fonts and font size. But I think you'll need root for them...
Sent from my HTC ChaCha with CM9 using XDA app.
You have following options:
1) Install CM9 ROM for HTC ChaCha. Under Settings/System/Font size you can change default font size up to Huge. Huge fonts looks very cool and native on HTC ChaCha. The only exception is System Apps program which has 3 tabs on top "Downloaded", "Runnning" and "All", - and you cannot see tab title "All" because it is out of screen borders (but still selectable on touchscreen).
2) Replace system fonts with larger font. There are fonts which by default are larger comparing to standart DroidSans or Roboto. Also, you can try to scale a font using font development programs (like FontForge). I've tried to enlarge Roboto to 120% of it's standart size. I've applied on my device and it was working, however some characters no longer were properly hinted and aligned and I could not fix that problem with FontForge.
3) Use application or app launcher which can enlarge fonts. Like "Big Fonts" or Go Launcher. I have no experience with these apps.
4) Use application which alters LCD density. This actually will enlarge not only fonts but all the graphics on your screen. I did not tried it, since it causes other problems.
I was able to modify Roboto font by increasing it to 115% using FontCreator app without noticeable aligning/hinting sideeffects.
Font looks ok on CM7.2 ROM, however on few places text overlaps and is cropped from top.

Question How to change Lockscreen/AOD clock font only in OneUI 4.1

I like using the Default (Roboto) font but the Samsung font used for the Lockscreen and AOD clock is ugly and has inconsistent spacing. Changing the system font to any other option changes the clock style. When I use a font installer to install Roboto, it does change the clock, but creates an issue where font weight and spacing are incorrect in many apps. Yes, I also tried a variable font version as well. I realize that Samsung is likely using multiple font files to create Default and the font installer is limited. I also tried GoodLock with Clock Face but almost all centered options use the ugly Samsung font too.
Does anyone know how to change just the Lockscreen and AOD clock fonts? Back in the day, someone was able to modify Good Lock to give extra options but I'm hoping there is a simpler solution. Thanks in advance.
Hello. I have the exact same thoughts about the default One UI lockscreen font. Could you please share a bit more details on the Good Lock extra options?
Btw, I did try to install the system font with the Roboto TTF file like you mentioned in the OP and the lock screen looks much better now. I do get your point about "issue where font weight and spacing are incorrect in many apps", but fortunately for me, WhatsApp is the only app where I see this. And it does not look all that bad. So I believe I'm going to stick to this way.
Here's how:
Download 'SetEdit (Settings Database Edit)' from Google Play Store.
Open and find 'theme_font_clock' row, then tap it.
Tap 'Edit Value' and input with your font path addreses (*example: /storage/emulated/0/My Fonts/DS-DIGIB.TTF).
Tap 'Save Changes' and you're done!
Take a look!
*supports .ttf and .otf formats
works without root
Found it on reddit

Confirmed, does NOT work in OneUI 5.0. Was excited too.
I hope there will be another way...
