upgrading

Hi All
I am new to htc phones, my kasier phone is currently running windows 6 pro, build 18533.Duttys v2. This was on the phone when i brought it.
I am thinking of upgrading to 6.1 can someone please tell me which one i should upgrade to,
Is it easy to do.

ROM upgrade for Dell Axim X51V, WM5 A12

Hi all,
I would like to upgrade the ROM on my device.
I am aware that there are no official ROMs out there, so I was wondering if you could recommend the best ROM around here for my device.
Also, I would very much appreciate you advice on the best way to perform the upgrade itself.
Please excuse my basic questions, I am very new at this.

WM5 A12 IS official. However, you'll want to go straight for for either makuu's or LennySH's WM6.1 ROM's. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384900

In the link that you have posted I saw a section referring to my device, with a recommendation for something called:
" makuu's A06 privß06p "Pure" "
but I saw no reference to "LennySH's WM6.1 ROM.
1. Do you second that recommendation or do you think I should go for LennySH's WM6.1 ROM?
(As a general preference, I would rather have a ROM without bundled applications inside)
2. Do you happen to know where I can find a link for LennySH's WM6.1 ROM that will fit my device?
Again, please excuse me if my questions sound silly, it's just that I am very new at this, and I'm afraid to make a stupid mistake that will brick my device.

Official Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade (Testing)

Hi all,
I wanted to know if the update for the MDA Vario III ROM is correct on this site? if so has anyone downloaded the ROM update from this site and tried it out for themselves? {link is given below}
I would test it out for myself, but my PC has a million problems...so a lack of confidence and fear of third party window applications interference prevents me from testing it out :S but if someone has done this update, could please let me know if it is ok?

Someone knows about this device?

Hi!
I got a Medion MDPNA100, running wm2003.
(take a look on pda database, i'm not allowed to post the url)
and i got no info about uprades (apart from the last old update of Medion) or modified roms...so i'm wondering if someone knows if its possible, at least, to try to upgrade it to wm5. The flash files are .usb, so i can't open them with any tool i searched for.
Im using great roms from this forum on my X1i, so maybe everything is possible.

[Q] Help with the HTC Arrive - The Tangled Path To Custom ROMs

Hey all, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a few days in all boards relating to WP7.8, etc.
I really do hesitate when I make this thread, because I know a lot of other people have already asked how to do this,
HOWEVER! I can't seem to pull together all of the information I need- the trail seems to go cold after a while,
I have an HTC Arrive (Gold C) on Sprint, With Mango & SPL 4.3
What I am trying to do is get to a point where I can install a 7.8 custom ROM, or simply, I'm trying to get HSPL (which, if I'm correct, requires me to downgrade to NoDo?)
After reading, it looks like the solution to my problem is to use Ansar's NoDo RUU for the Arrive, then, use the Dark Forces Team HSPL Loader to load HSPL onto my Arrive, and then finally, install a ROM like leadpoizon's Custom 7.8 ROM.
I'm pretty tech savvy, but as far as mobile devices go, the hardest thing I've ever had to do was jailbreak a few iPods, and install CFWs on PSPs.
I will openly admit, just putting this information together has been a confusing painus in the anus for me.
My problem is thus - I haven't been able to do any of this because Ansar's NoDo RUU (and, as it would seem, the rest of his RapidShare files) are all down because his bandwidth on RS ran out.
Does anybody have a copy of the NoDo RUU for the Arrive that they'd be willing to upload?
I'd be suuuper appreciative...

Don't forget to delete the RUU_signed file before downgrading!
Also, you must install RSPL, then HSPL, then the custom ROM. I am using the LEAD rom and its working great!

That's exactly what I've been looking for, I never checked out that link because the thread was titled with Gold, not Arrive, GoldC, etc...
I hope this thread helps someone like me out!

Where does the RUU installer place all of the files? o.o

Nevermind, got it! Everything works great on leadpoizon's ROM, aside from the HTC Hub tile, which I didn't care for to start with.

Does this process also work for the HTC Pro7 T7576? This is the GSM version of the device where the Arrive is the CDMA one.
