Hi to all!
I am looking for a way to remove the semi transparent background behind the clock (spray painted in red and with a red arrow) without removing the clock and also the text that says "slide" on top of the unlock slider (See red arrow). Any help will be very much appreciated.
I have CHT 2 installed on HTC HD2. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi AlexGT1,
One question my friend, is that the CHT2's lockscreen or the windows one?
If it's the windows lockscreen you could remove the semi transparent clock background installing the cab. attached but I really don't know if it will works on the CHT2's lockscreen so use it on your own risk, OK.
I recommend you to do a back up first, please with File Explorer go to /Windos directory and find a png. file named htc_LS_TimeBG.png and copy/paste it in your SD card as your back up, OK.
About to remove the word "slide" is posible to do it but is something more complicate because you have to edit the files LS_LockScene_480x800 and LS_LockScene_800x480 which are a little delicate.
Anyway, I'm posting your pic so maybe another fella could help you with
Good look.
Thank you for your reply, I think my lock screen is the windows one (How can you tell?) I will try out the cab after a complete backup using SK Tools.
Thanks again for your help!
AlexGT
I tried it and it didn't work, I made backup, installed, reset phone and the background is still there. restarted sense, and it is still there, so I uninstalled it, no harm done. I appreciate your help though.
Anyone have another idea I could try?
Thanks!

The file "LS_LockScene_480x800.cpr" you have to modify. You find it under \Windows\Lockscreen.
1. Open with Notepad or text editor you prefer
2. modify following sequence
<Text ID="SlideToUnlock" Left="135" Top="620" Width="315" Height="90" FontFamily="Helvetica Neue OTS" FontSize="18" Wrap="False" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Middle" InnerTextType="Resource" Text="shellresapps.dll,18149">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0"/>
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF"/>
</Text>
2a. InnerTextType="Resource" ->""
2b. Text="shellresapps.dll,18149" -> "What you want"
Note: Modification works similar for "Tap or Slide" (Text="shellresapps.dll,18150") as well
Or replace the attached file
How to install:
Before replace the file close sense (Start>Settings>Today>Items uncheck HTC Sense) then replace the file and enable again sense (not needed soft reset).
MAKE BACKUP BEFORE REPLACE

You will need to look into and perhaps use:
tf3d config
or
advanced configuration tool 3.3

You can change what the default page by editing the InternetPortal-en-US.xml file located in the \Application Data\Manila\ folder. In the <Banner> section, edit the NavigateURL to whatever page you want it to open by default and change the Text to match.
e.g.
NavigateUrl="http://www.google.com/"
Text="Google"
Edit:
It turns out that if you remove the NavigateURL line completely, clicking on the globe will open your default Opera home page.

Yup - no success - then did search and found several posts that had same result.
Tried again a few minutes ago - my original Fuze was returned last evening - it was having "issues" - freezing; tri-color screen on reboot; etc.
So, reinstalled Diamond Config - unchecked "unknown" and hit "save" - auto reboot - and - voila - the AT&T Logo
wait are you getting rid of the att page or the logo in the background?

Yeah, I may have missed what you were trying to do. Those instructions are for removing the AT&T "tab" along the bottom of the screen, not the logo on the home screen or the logo wallpaper.
if you want to get rid of the logo go to the settings tab and there is an option for wallpaper
The only thing i did, was install Diamond config, and i installed a new THEME (Original Black HTC theme to be exact) and it automatically took out the tab.
perhaps, you can be more specific - your reply gives no indication as to what is to be done once you get to "wallpaper"
There are several posts on this topic in different forums without a solution as to how to remove the "AT&T" branding near the top of the screen.
So far, to my knowledge, there has not be a solution.
I tried it, and it worked just fine...AT&T is gone!

Schaps Advanced Config.. removes and reorders for me.
i created a new cab file that will over write the manila 3d files, in which will add the flip clock and will remove the at&t tab.
the file looks and feels like the stock manila 3d that came with the original touch pro rom made for none branded devices. it is found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447056
To remove the AT&T Tab from TouchFlo3D...
- copy file 26948339_manila from \Windows on to your computer.
- open in notepad
- find this section of code...
Code:
<Page Order="4" Name="atttab.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="[[IDS_ATTTABTITLE]]">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\ATTtab.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\ATTicon.mode9" Component="ATTAtt_Off" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\ATTicon.mode9" Component="ATTAtt_On" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\ATTicon.mode9" Component="ATTAtt_Preview" />
</Page>
...you can either delete this section or simply change Page Order="4" to Page Order=""
- copy this edited manila file back on to your device (ex. \My Documents)
- turn off TouchFlo3D in Today settings
- use something like Resco Explorer to copy the file back into \Windows (overwrite existing file)
- turn on TouchFlo3D in Today settings
Hi All,
Just got my MDA Compact V - T- Mobile's version of the Diamond 2 ... have a few issues that I could do with some help on.
1. Keyboard doesn't have the £ sign - can't find any settings for a uk keyboard!
2. As usual, T-Mobile have a dull theme - how can I cange the wm theme to pure black? I also prefer the original HTC Diamond background - liked the theme I had on my first Diamond (attached pic) - does anyone know if this exists for the Diamond 2 & where can I get it? I know it's probably a bit boring for most, but I would ideally like to have the exact same theme on the diamond 2 if pos - any suggestions welcome
3. T-Mobile have replaced the flippy clock - is there any way I can add this?
4. The date format is MMM DD, YYYY - can I change this - I prefer DDD MMM YYYY
Thanks for any help or pointers
UPDATE:
Not any any replies
but have solved the flippy closk issue (though more by accident than design). Installed Background for all tabs and it appeared out of nowhere However, new problem now with the slider - pic attached - the slider is white (ish) and quite wide and so blocks the adjacent icons - is there any way I can reduce the size of the slier or make it transparent?
Would still like to resolve the date format issue - to ddd mmm yyyy instead of mmm dd, yyyy
Still need the £ sign on my keyboard
Still want the HTC Black wallpaper
any help anyone
Thanks

for the £ sign you should press the 12# button on the keyboard (right side), and then on the left side there is a button 1/2, when you press that you will go to 2/2 and you'll see the £ and € sign.

copying attached files in windows folder and selecting a black background, clock in homepage becomes black with white numbers, isn't it?
edit: it works. thankyou very much
Can someone upload a screenshot of glossy white clock?
try the following thread i have the same phoneand same problems

If you just want the black HTC TouchFlow3D and you don't want to flash a new ROM your can download the file which there is a link to in the first post on this page :
http://www.planete-htc.com/index.php?mod=forum&ac=voir&id=20612&debut=20&cat=237
They say it's important that the screen doesn't go off during the cab's installation so turn off all power saving settings first so the screen stays on.
Then all you have to do is extract the cab from the zip, copy the cab on to your phone and then run it. Wait for it to install. It takes awhile, it's normal. Then it will reset itself and you will have a black TF3D

That doesn't work.
I think that is the layout of the flippy clock, but at the Compact V the flippy clock is switched off, so first I need to switch it on.
Vijaydesor told he put the flippy clock on, I want to know how.
Is it possible to install clocks used with Manila 2.0 also in Manila 2.1 Original ROM?
Or is there a basic difference?
Nobody know how I can enable the flippy clock in the standard Compact V?

I have been searching for about 2 hours now and I can't seem to find a way to change the word "Slide" on the unlock screen. Every search i do brings me to that imitation iphone SLIDE TO UNLOCK imitatioN! I hate that!
Can anyone give me a registry hack or something to change that word?
well...maybe it's not a text, but a picture...
Yes. It is nice if we can customized to any text we want....Maybe with our name on it.
Okay, did anyone find out? I've been searching and I still cant find it. I'm pretty sure its not an image.
Pushing this thread back up. I'd love to find a way to change the text on that lock screen!
anyone manage to find the way?
Hello,
the file LS_Lockscreen_480x800 (Portrait) you have to modify. You find it under \Windows\Lockscreen.
1. Copy file to Storage Card
2. Connect HD2 via ActiveSync to your PC
3. Copy file to PC
4. Open with Notepad or text editor you prefer
5. modify following sequence
<Text ID="SlideToUnlock" Left="135" Top="620" Width="315" Height="90" FontFamily="Helvetica Neue OTS" FontSize="18" Wrap="False" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Middle" InnerTextType="Resource" Text="shellresapps.dll,18149">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0"/>
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF"/>
</Text>
5a. InnerTextType="Resource" ->""
5b. Text="shellresapps.dll,18149" -> "What you want"
6. Store file
7. Copy file back to Storage Card via ActiveSync
8. Disconnect HD2 from PC
9. Copy file from Storage Card back to \Windows\Lockscreen
10. Soft reset
11. Enjoy
Note: Modification works similar for "Tap or Slide" (Text="shellresapps.dll,18150") as well
Kind Regards
Georg
Sorry, But I got lost VERY quick. Can you be a little more explicit and detailed. I got lost on finding that sequence since mines did not match yours at all.
I also cannot find "Text="shellresapps.dll,18149" -> "What you want""
@lemonspeakers
the cutout from file "LS_Lockscreen:480x800.cpr" is taken from the original
as provided with WM6.5. Values i.e. Left="135 might be different as
I´ve moved the slider to the bottom.
If you haven´t modified already the file you should find the values
InnerTextType="Resource" and Text="shellresapps.dll,18149" as well.
This you´ve to modify accordingliy.

b. Text="shellresapps.dll,18149" -> i.e. "unlock"
I hope this makes it a little bit more clear

With what value's can i move the slider to the middle of the screen ?
Following section describes position of slider
<Slider ID="LockSlider" Top="16" Left="48" Width="384" Height="82" Orientation="Middle" OnPress="ShowNotifications" OnSlideLeftFinal="Unlock" OnSlideRightFinal="Unlock" >
There are few further option having influence on the slider.
i.e. <Layer ID="Slide" Width="122" Height="82" OnInitComplete="Binding:LockScreen,LS_Notifications">
<Layer ID="SlideDown">
<Image ID="SliderFocusIcon" Width="122" Height="82" Visible="True" Opacity="1.0" ScalingAlgorithm = "TriLinear" />
</Layer>
<Layer ID="SlideUp">
<Image ID="SliderIcon" Width="122" Height="82" Visible="True" Opacity="1.0" ScalingAlgorithm = "TriLinear" />
</Layer>
specifies the slider size.
I´ve to apologize, I don´t know them all yet. Maybe there is somewhere a tutorial for the lockscreen file available explaining all parameters.
Regards
Georg

Dude, why are you making this so hard? Can you speak English correctly?
If you can just explain it in terms of:
1) find the file "InnerTextType="Resource""
2) Modify it to ...
3) Find next file...
4) Modify that to....
How hard can it be? For some reason I still cannot understand you!
If someone else can decode what he is saying I'd greatly appreciate it so much.
I just want to change the word "SLIDE" on the lock screen to something else.

Maybe the explanation is complicated because the change itself is complicated, even if it is only a small thing you want to change...
Maybe if someone from Denmark can understand the explanation, the problem is not so much that 'kleiner_onkel' (bit of a clue there about his nationality...) cannot speak English correctly, but that you cannot understand English correctly...
Maybe you should show a little more gratitude to the only person who has made the effort to help you instead of criticising his English...
Maybe you'll be looking a while longer for a solution to your 'problem'...

I found the instructions pretty easy to follow - although on re-booting I get the error message "Open of EnglishUS failed!"... after that it does load Sense etc, and the text is changed as I wished. Would be nice not to have the error on booting though - any ideas what's causing this?
BTW, lemonspeakers, why are you so rude to those that spend time trying to help you. I suspect Georg's first language may not be English, but he seems to manage pretty well - most can follow his instructions. Perhaps you could converse in his mother tongue? If not, then please be more polite.
Dude!
Dude just look for the "InnerTextType="Resource"" and delete it (there are two of them so you got to delete them both), next
find the "shellresapps.dll,18149" and change it to what ever word you want (again there are two "shellresapps.dll,18149" on it so you got to change also the other one)
reboot

First of all... you shouldnt be so rude to the only person in this thread that has taken the time to tell you how to do what you want.
Secondly... if you cant understand his instructions then i suggest that you dont try it out as you will probably cause some damage by modifying the wrong entries.
With that out the way... here is a pointer in the right direction...
LS_Lockscreen_480x800 is the file you are looking for...
InnerTextType="Resource" is part of the code in that file you have to modify.

Can't get all Icons changed.. really not
Sorry to grab here but I tried in other threads and other forums but anyone had a solution for me.
I deleted all the Quicklinks on Homescreen, installed Diniks Anastasia set by cab file, cleared the ProgLauncher. In the Start Menu all Icons are showing roght but only about 40% of the Icons come on right on the Homescreen.
I look in Icon changer but there also all icons are showing correct. I long pressed on every Icon and said "hide default icon".. but no change to those that will not show on Homescreen.
By looking inside de Proglauncher Folder I remarked that all the icons that work are listed there, but not those that will not show correctly.. why that?
Any help, suggestions? Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase?

you have to create a theme with iconchanger, after you have to go in the folder programs\iconchanger\themes\"your_theme_folder_name" and , with a file explorer,(program like rescoexplorer are better!!) rename the icon of the program was showed uncorrectly in your homescreen quicklink, after go in jwdm iconchanger , holdtap the program icon you want to change, programs\iconchanger\themes\"your_theme_folder_name"\"your_icon_you_have_just_renamed" .. afther this reclear the proglauncher folder and all is fine! -- for correct homescreen quicklink softreset is not needed, is needed for start menu only.
Wow, really something new.. gonna triy this tonight. I'll give feedback.. thanks a lot..!

Those Icons not showing in Icon Changer I still have to double in .. argh which folder was that again .. does this stay the same to show them?

I did as you said and it would work out.. and now the big BUT:
Some of the links in Windows\Startmenu\Programs are organized in subfolders, for instance folder "tools", as in the Startmenu itself. Icon Changer can obviously NOT SEE INTO subfolders, for it does not list those links, even if copied and pasted. Only if copied to Windows\Startmenu\Programs (one directory up) it is recognized, but of course it does too change place in Startmenu itself, so that's not what I want.
Question: Why can't my Icon Changer (latest version 26b) not see the links in subfolders, for I think that this is common in all standard Roms????
And what do I do to be able to change those Icons..?
CSMI can help
Ok, I could solve this problem by just using other software.. CSMI helped me out, this one even shows which links lie in a folder.

hi,
could somebody help me to modify htc sense?
i want to make these changes:
1. add more than 10 places to the wether tab.
2. use video camara ang gps at the same time. i mean to make a video and driving using gps.
3. change the lockscreen clock. (RESOLVED)
4. change only the lockscreen wallpaper, without change wallpaper of menu screen. (RESOLVED)
5. add more icons to the softkey bar.
6. add more vibration to the resco keyboard pro v6.
7. add vibration to the calculator keys.
8. to make the batery show the time left, not % (it is possible with spb pocket plus, but i dont want leave htc sense).
thanks.
no one wants to help?
Your not wrong mainly cos your requests could b done with apps but secondly theme stuff comes with custom Rom
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
shopsdesire, i didnt undestand your aswer.
i only wanted to know if itis possible to modify some things of htc sense.
i was looking for the solution here but there are too much threads and posts.
i dont think i ask something impossible o too much dificult.
i tried to add vibration to the calculator keys but it didnt work.
there is no file "VbrationLevel" in the Registry. there are only "defoult" and "vibration" and put there 0, 1 or 2, 3..6 doesnt change nothing.
i also tried to increase vibration for the resco keyboard.. it is also doesnt work..
about the weather tab.. i dont think it is impossible to increase the amount of cities to add to the weather option, it has to be some file to change a value, but i cant to find it.
i see here a lot of themes to change a lockscreen but i need the one for only lockscreen and not for all htc sense theme. i wanted to change a clock on the lockscreen, and use there the wallpaper diferent of the wallpaper of the menu screen.
i bought my hd2 a secondhand and before i reset it, it has a tomtom icon in the softkey panel, so it is possible but i can fine how can i now add there icons.
spb pocket plus has the option to change a battery icon option: it shows the % of restant time or real restant time, but i cant fine any apps to have this option with sense.
i sent my question about the possibility to use video camara during driving whith tomtom, but still there is no answer. does somebody know if it is possible?
PLEASE, COULD SOMEBOBY ANSWER AT LEAST A FEW MY QUESTION?
4. change only the lockscreen wallpaper, without change wallpaper of menu screen.
