South Florida help - HTC Inspire 4G

Anyone one in the area to help me out on flashing a Rom? lunch on me!
Thanks.

Gainesville area if that is any help.......
Only down south about 4 times a year....

It is really not that hard a process if you read up on it. Best advice is to follow the directions EXACTLY.....

I flashed the ATT tilt phone back a few years but none since then. Where can I go to read up as a noob?

XDA
Best source of reliable information.
What kind of phone?

Find the one click application. Once you're rooted and S-OFF you're set to go via Clockwork.

I live in Kendall and also used to flash the ROM on my Tilt what seemed like at least once a day. Rooting this Inspire? Can't seem to get it to happen. I get as far as the bootloader screen, but then the instructions after that point don't match any of the options on screen, so I stopped there.
I'll split the lunch bill with you if you can help.

I'm the one who needs the help!

Rooted Devices Blacklisted from Google Movies.

Google has recently responded to a unhappy customer that was unable to view his rented movie "March of The Penguins" and has responded with a response that will effect almost everyone here.

As he said though just rename su to mu. Though I can kind of understand where Google is coming from seeing as I have had about four cease and assist letters for movie piracy.

Hmmm So we need a SU/MU toggle. ;D
Nice, maybe its time to make something.
What good does renaming it do.if Google Movies doesn't even show in the new version of Market? Is there a different version than the one I linked to?

Love getting those LOL. I have 3 in my collection.
Wow! Am I ever glad my Inspire is purely stock and unrooted! I had been thinking about rooting it. Not now, though. I feel fortunate to be one of very few people who have not rooted their Android phone.

I see what you're saying, but if this were truly the case shouldn't Google be doing anything they can to provide media content in a legal manner to all of their customers? Yes, I've rooted my phone, and I would have gladly used the Google Movie service, but since they won't let me, I guess I know how I'll continue to get my movies... If anything this move pushes users back to piracy.
Lmao really? So because I have Google movies (which cost) your happy U didn't root? I have 87 movies between three sd cards but I have zero idea where I got them . Stock? Never again

The menu driven hack kit is so simple, as long as you read the manual a few times you will fine.

YouTube has some good videos. The whole process is not hard at all. If you can read and copy/paste, you'll be fine.

I am porting a Jellybean rom from the desire hd, its a touchwize rom. Wifi DOES NOT WORK, i am trying to fix that now. I CAN guarantee 48 gigs FREE from dropbox, this can be used even if you have tooken up htc's 24 gigs, i know this because i tried it, check out the attatched png. I would like some more experienced people testing this as the aim is to fix wifi because i can't debug to save my life lol. Hit me up with a pm or if you have me on gtalk use that!

It's been a fun time

Hello guys,
These past 2 years were some if the must fun I have ever had with a phone. Rooting and installing a custom ROM was a totally new experience and the first time rooting was nerve wrecking. My blaze had survived multiple drops and many, many custom ROMs, but the time has come for me to move on. I have now acquired the LG g2 and wow, this phone is amazing. The same I said when I got our little blaze. I will still check in from time to time and I still have my blaze so I could occasionally do some testing. Anyways guys, I will now be moving to my new home(both in real life and on xda ) thanks for the great time!
Sincerely,
Veliion

Hey Velilion. Thanks man for contributing and helping a lot here. I have moved phones also, but since my brother uses this, I'm still here (not a bad thing lol). Got friends that also use some ROMs that are here. Been helping them out also. Hope you have fun with that new LG G2 you got . And also have fun with that new home of yours. New home, new beginning xD (at least in my family, they use that term).
