Hi, I flashed this FW one day ago and for my GPS work bit slowly without any GPSFIX and don't fix position till 5 minutes . So I apply GPS fix (fasterfixv92 and com.gps.opt) and after that fix position till 1 minutes just now after few seconds . I root phone and apply Lagfix and my qadrant score is 533 so that's the same as other FW . I don't heard any klik or something during call but apk gallery3d bug is it still present in this rom so I recomend to delete... Is it russian FW but has many other language and beyond few mistakes is it very good I can compare with JP6 from T-mobile or JP9 from Orange or JPF but this firmware have more bug than others I mention I think...
There was another thread discussing this rom and I read something about a problem with the rotation..I have this rom in use at this very moment and I don't have any issues. I have to say that I don't use the GPS, so can't say anything about that ... Happy JPD user so far

My original FW was something WJH4 - if I remember correctly - Eastern Europe SW. Never found it on samfirmware or somewhere else. So is this one (I5800xwjpd) official update for this? I mean if I flash it I can tell that Kies did it for me - even if I flash it without bootloader? I have no original SW ROM so I mean could this ROM be like backup for me? For warranty purposes?

Official Final version of apanda (clone Boston) ROM 2.1
In the forum htcmania there are already staff testing this version. They say that GPS is working and that the only "problem", also announced by Apanda, is that this version does not bring installed Google applications (GMS), including the Market.
the link of the rom upgrade:
apk. apanda. com. cn / special / soft / pai_test / 2_1 / Hipi2_1_4.zip
The tools used by staff of htcmania for the upgrade are the same as the old version.
Is there some way how to backup my original rom? I have branded ROM by ORANGE and I want to save it if something goes wrong (with 2.1 update). Thanks
The Boston is out in Austria aswell now.
i'm interested to see if there is 2.1 coming on it.
if there is a working 2.1 with german or at least enlish, i'm gonna buy it!
I'm curious about these. A guy at work has the Blaze F800 variant and looking for an update. I don't think it's been done yet but there are several 2.1 roms for the Wellcomm and Apanda.
The problem that I see, is that going into bootloader mode, the only options I see are "reboot" and flash "sdcard:update.zip". In the screenshots of the other phones they are flashing a nb0 file via bootloader and have several more options; one of which is "Flash nb0 file from SdCard"

Does anybody have an original 1.6 Rom from Orange AT?
I´d like to go back to the original Rom for warranty service. Thanks!
http://www.htcspain.com/roms-boston-310/
If the answer to the question is yes, then you must read this post before of trying anything in this forum!!
So, why should you read this in first?
Answer: Cause everything here is based on europeans or asian firmwares and roms and the bands with they work there are not the same that are used in Latin-America (That means the L in the serial number of your phone, that it is to Latin-America)
So if you just start following steps to do something you wanna do, without thinking in a few things and you do one thing wrong, then you can have a lot of troubles that wont be easy to solve, for example, i did started flashing a rom without thinking in that the rom was based on an indian firmware and my phone couldnt flash the rom (obviusly that that couldnt work to me rigth now). So my phone get stocked into the exclamation triangle and pc icon and i have to restore the firmware from 0 in downloading mode, but when i could finally get my phone back to life (5 days lather of hard research, fail trys and hard working) i just knew that something was wrong when my phone just loss connection several times in a day, so i have to research again ( 3 more days) and finally i get to the true, i had to rebot my mobile phone to downloading and flash a latin american rom first to then could flash another rom without the problem of lossing my signal cause of the change from 2G to 3g of my phone (obviusly my 3G connection wasnt working cause of the diferent betwen of the european bands with the latin american bands)
So what i wanna say to you latin-american brothers is that i understand if you wanna make some changes in your device but believe me, is better to go slow and research about the another people problems or bugs when they try to flash a rom or kernel or wahtever you wanna do, read all the post before of starting to follow someone instructions about how to do something, ask if possible about wath you wanna do cause here is a big comunity of good people who likes to help each others, and be shure about what you are going to do before of doing it, because believe me, for ours the latin americans, heres no comings back to stocked roms and your phones never becomes the sames, sometimes (like in my case) your phone gets better, sometimes your phone gets useless.
Im from Mexico and i all ready tryed 3 diferent rom but always having latinamerica rom as base and they work fine ... Well only Oc doesnt work (chocobread and CM music ed) atm im using razo droid without a problem and geting 1,370-1,450 quadrant score, i never used another gingerbread region and thx for your post.
Ok im using OC at 734 Mhz and its pretty stable!!!! getting 1,800+ quadrant score with RazoDroid Rom

On my phone I installed via Odin the firmware from Chile and everything is going fine. But there is a lot of app that I don´t need and for that reason I want a custom rom.
Cynanogenmod 7.2 lastest stable version for parudthz ;-)
Okay, so anyone here still on FROYO?? And I nid some help if I should flash to DXKP9 or not. THX!!
I'm pretty sure DXKP9 is just an Asia-specific version for XXKPQ.
and flashing to GB depends on you.
I've just read and confirmed that GB has dark video recording. If you're not bothered by that, flash it.
Just read up or find some comparison videos on YouTube.

Yeah, I'm on KB4 and haven't been offered any updates for my UK unlocked I9003.
I know that I can upgrade to GB using Odin, but I'm reluctant to flash non-UK firmware onto the device. It seems only Russian ROMs are available on samfirmware.com
I did complain to Samsung UK and they've confirmed that GB is coming, but they can't say when. I don't actually think there have been any UK updates since May 2011, so I have no idea what they're playing at.

Many are on XXKPQ since most of the mods/ROMs/themes being developed at the moment (with the exception of some, e.g. CM9, CM7 (?) and MIUI(?)), are based on this firmware.
DXKP9 is Gingerbread-based, so there's bound to be improvements. You can try Googling the differences.

you can try taking note of your firmware (is it a DX (e.g. DXKP9)? an XX(e.g. XXKPM, XXKPN)? or something else?), then try to find the firmware in the Web when you want to downgrade back to Froyo.
It's a shame that Russian ROMs are available. But it's better than nothing.

The phone reports my firmware versions as
PDA: I9003XWKB4
PHONE: I9003XXKB1
CSC: I9003XXKB2
I haven't been able to find any reference to this firmware anywhere on the net, except one thread on an italian forum and one on a spanish forum complaining the same about the lack of updates. If I could find a copy of this firmware I'd probably give one of the russian gingerbreads a try because I could always go back.
As I understand it, there isn't a nandroid backup for the I9003 working - and even when nandroid does work, it can be dodgy if partitions change format type or the bootloader is changed (so I've heard).
I have also read up on how to make your own Odin-flashable ROM by dumping your own firmware, but I'd have no idea if I done the procedure properly until I had to use the backup - and by then it'd be too late.
So right now I'm hoping that Samsung UK will get their act together and release the GB firmwares that everyone else in the world already seems to be enjoying
So now my question is do u tink I shud update to DXKP9 or XXKPQ?? And if I shud which firmware should I update to?
For me I wouldn't do it unless I can get a backup of my current ROM that I know will work in the event of problems with the flash.
If that issue doesn't bother you, and you're not bothered about voiding your warranty, then just flash whatever you like the look of best - but follow the instructions to the letter. As I understand it, you can't flash from Froyo straight to the latest GB version as the older ROMs contain three files and the newer ones only one.
If you were going with European ROMs (XX) you'd have to flash KPE twice first before flashing KPQ. So I'm told. I've not tried it, at your own risk etc.

I haven't tested the Samsung warranty. But didn't have any problem with Motorola and Sony-Ericsson when my Moto C385 and my SE K610 stoped working. The both services fixed me the phones without problems.
So, if I where you I'll flash the phone with XXKPQ (is what I done hehe)
update to KPQ if you are alright with dim recording of video... IMO its not really that bothersome
KPQ has the highest amount of developer support, but now it seems that most 2.3.6 firmwares work well with stuff designed for kpq, so take a pick! I for one do not find any difference between different regions 2.3.6 roms like xxkpq,ddkp2 etc is there actually any difference or is it just region specific versions?
Oh kay... Thanks
More people are using KPQ and more mods are made for it, so KPQ is a good choice

Yes, it seems so. I checked the version of radio, so I found it same as this one. I heard those who upgraded to 3.17.1010.2 got better call quality than the previous version, so I guess there were multiple certain changes. I guess this 3.13.1010.2 version was updated due to bugs occurred in Google Korean Keyboard. Anyway, I cannot say there is no difference between RIL of this and that, though.
Ok so where do we get 3.13 or 3.17 from then?

I did read up on some threads about flashing the rom myself but i am reluctant so far. Any Dutch users out there that might give me a hint on what to do?
Thx!

Is your current firmware carrier branded? In any case you can use Odin 3.0.7 and flash "Open Europe" firmware, which can be downloaded from SamMobile.com at http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P5110&pcode=0&os=1&type=3#firmware
You will have the list of the 10 latest firmwares (the first one is 4.1.2 multilingual). CLK7 is recommended (English / French)
There are several guides about using / flash with Odin. Here is one: http://androidjinn.com/install-xxclk7-android-4-1-1-jelly.html
Happy flashing..
