Hi, this thread is for the discussion of IDE's
and I want to start it with mine!
I am currently working on a new IDE –

'Meme IDE' for ANDROID, WM and Apple IOS.
Here is the hello world video.
It is launching in april with the aim of making the design and deployment of cross platform apps more efficient while protecting functional depth in each.
Have a look and let me know what you think.
That video looks very promising for a multiplatform IDE running on Linux
Where IDE means;
Integrated Development Environment
&
Integrated Design Environment
though does it also have an Integrated Debugging Environment ? I'm curious about that I must say your IDE looks awesome!
Developed using Z+ ?
Meme IDE
Thanks Senax
the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) will not have an integrated debugging environment in its first release, but this is something that will definetly be added at a later date.
Its actually developed using Eclipse RCP - I.e. Java, the generated code is native - no Javascript or HTML5.
Meme IDE will of course run on Linux, Mac, Windows.
The hello world video is just the quick basics I will post links to more indepth ones soon. and I am going to add the detailed technical information to memeapps this week.
Meme IDE beta is released
Meme IDE is now available for download.
Build with a drag and drop editor. Develop complex functions using the unique MemeScript. A language created to make elements simple and cohesive on any platform.
It is currently in beta release and at the moment you can develop for Android and WM. IOS will be included in the full release and Blackberry further down the line.
OH and its FREE
find out more or download and play with it at www.memeapps.com
this is a community based beta release so we want to hear what you have to say about it

We choose to utilize most of our personal time in creating software, writing programs and other such technical activities. We also design software for other operating platforms like Microsoft Windows and have recently started some development on Android. We just create to learn and hence, most of our products are for free. The team comprises of not many members, but two of us who are Electronics Engineers by profession and are software programmers 'by choice'.
Most of our creations are absolutely free for everyone to use. We encourage suggestions/ideas for improvement, if any, from the visitors of this website so that we can come up with new tools and applications that will ease up our daily work.

After trying the XP launcher I just nerdgasmed in my nerdpants, this is a real bonermaker on the Int. S3! Love it!
It obviously needs a lot of work as it is still beta but with a few things such as pinch to zoom, being able to change settings, and to place apps on the home screen then I'd give up my own personalised theme for this!
Is there an ubuntu version of it then? i assume so as you have the bootloader in this thread.

Thanks for the compliments...
We don't have an Ubuntu Launcher (yet).
Good news for C# programmers (i.e. WP7 developers): Android ported on C#!
Oracle and Google are currently in a $1 billion wrestling match over Google’s use of Java in Android.
But Java is not the only way to build native apps on Android. In fact, it’s not even the best way: we have been offering C# to Android developers as a high-performance, low-battery consuming alternative to Java. Our platform, Mono, is an open source implementation of the .NET framework that allows developers to write their code using C# while running on top of the Java-powered operating system, and then share that same code with iOS and Windows Phone.

Either brilliant or crazy
Like one of the commenters over at the original article said, this is either brilliant or downright crazy: Running Android through a Java-to-C# translator and benchmarking the results...
Their ports of the .NET framework to iOS and Android are a little closer to home and should in theory allow sharing of large chunks of code between WP7, iOS and Android apps.
However, watching this scene for already quite a while, I didn't notice this making real waves, with high-profile applications built in this way.
I personally think the risk-reward ratio isn't worth it: One the one hand, 3 apps for 3 OS for maybe 1.5 or 2 times the effort of 1 app. On the other hand, dependence on a product from a small company and a framework that had a near-death experience already when Novell cancelled their support for the project.
In my opinion, that project has one HUGE cons: the product price. $999 is too much for individual developers and small companies (but they should be a primary targeted customers!) Bigger companies will prefer to hire Objective-C programmer(s) for iOS project and Java/Android guys for Android project(s).
Other stuff: Objective-C by default is faster than any CIL language, Android programmers have a better (and free) alternative to use industry-standard C++ via NDK. Also, Java codebase is significantly larger than C#; I saw too many C# projects ported from Java but no Java ported from C# Java is industry standard and I don't think Oracle vs Google fight will change something for regular developers.
P.S. And I agree: this project this is either brilliant or downright crazy
so developers if you are creeped out of eclipse here is all new tool for android apps development(IDE) called ANDROID STUDIO

Thanks to Google io where it was introduced to world.

bro no need for that as link says that all!!!!
So how are they using IDEA, yet giving away for free?
I'm pretty excited to use this once it gets to a more stable (or "Beta" for Google) phase. Will there be a subforum on XDA for it?

Version 1.5
What I am wanting this to be is a very basic RPG with multiple maps and NPCs and possibly monsters... but that's just my plans
The game now is very basic anyway, it has no graphics except for the obnoxious icon which I need to figure out and the player is just a @ sign, the map is very easily modifyable though, you can edit the map in map.lua by adding array objects and then build the app via the Corona SDK that you can download here.
It is currently on no app store (I am planning to put it on Google play when I get the money to make a developer account) but you can download the app here :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tdnmq6uwg0lj6r2/Wall Space.apk
#1 edit! There are now text dialogues you can use with getTold(string) ! You can get the latest version on github!
#2 edit! Now there are npcs and an action button! Walk up to a "#" sign (who is an npc) and press the action button to get a text! You can adapt this feature easily by getting the newest build on GitHub.
The app is written in Lua using Corona Sdk and is currently in version <I lost track, you need to look in the config.lua to find the changelog>
The official github page of the project is here :
http://github.com/Tanashii/massive-octo-wallhack.git
Aaaand you can view a preview of the 1.5 here!

Is this planned for a medieval styled of look to it? I see a lot of people using corona sdk, it must be really great.

No, I am planning for it to be a very basic RPG with battles like Pokemon or something, and yes, corona SDK is very simple, you just write a bit of code, and run it in the simulator, it even has its own bloody physics engine!
You can view the physics engine in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AJS1z3bXuc
I just updated the app with new features. Check the main post.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT-SO-EVER HOW TO REMOVE THAT BLACK BAR FROM THE RIGHT OF THE SCREEN.
So today I'm publishing my first app! :]
MATHTools is a collection of handy tools for high school (and early university) students who deal with math.

It all started as a small weekend project in Feb 2013; but I started experimenting and adding features little by little and continued to make it better. MATHTools is a tiny open source app that offers a handy set of tools in a nice, clean and modern interface.
As I got into university, the app was left off for a while, but I decided to publish it and work on it again if others also find it useful.
I'll need your help to make this app better and further usable. So, your feedback is always welcome. Please use the "Feedback" option in the action bar and tell me which features you would like to see!
Here's a list of currently available tools:
Vectors:
- Vector Multiplication ( dot and cross product )
- Vector Projections (2D/3D - scalar and vector)
- Line Analyzer (2D/3D - parallel/skew/identical/intersecting lines)
Geometry:
- None (yet)
Trigonometry:
- None (yet)
Calculus:
- None (yet)
As you see, three of the four sections of the app don't have any tools yet. I have a couple of ideas in mind, but I will definitely need your help to prioritize them. For instance, would you like to see cheat sheets as well, or do you prefer the app to be focused on actual tools?
As mentioned earlier, MATHTools is open source, so, contributions are much appreciated! Feel free to browse the source code on GitHub: https://github.com/aminb/mathtools
More screenshots on Google Play (for some reason can't attach more here right now).
So, please download the app and give it a try; I know there's quite a bit missing which I'll be adding over time; and let me know what you think!
