Flash update~!!! - G Tablet General

ok, so I thought I was losing my mind today! All of sudden all my web pages that included flash were force closing. So I wiped the tablet, re-installed everything and still the same issue. So I started googling gtablet flash force closing. Someone else just started seeing the issue as well! I think Adobe must have killed the 10.1.95 flash build somehow.. Anyway, I found 10.1.120.1.apk installed it and now everything is back to normal!
here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/?39vc24wa2xdyy5r

10.1.95.1 never worked for me on my Gtab. I just got mine 3/4/11 and I installed the 10.1.95 that was on the viewsonic website. It never worked, anytime I went to a website that had flash on it, it would immediately show the desktop, not even give me a force close. I found 10.1.120 already placed on the internal sdcard from the factory. I installed it, and it works fine.

10.1.95.1 is working for me. YouTube videos are a little choppy. Does 10.1.120 improve the YouTube video performance?

Yes, I think the 10.1.120 improves everything. The previous one was working fine for a week and then all of sudden web pages were force closing.. I have had the gtab only a week now, so maybe it was just a fluke that it even worked. The previous poster said he has been using .120...
What I would like to figure out, if possible.. is multiple user profiles. So my wife has her own layout, then I can log her off and log into my profile and have my own layout... that would be sweet!!

Youtube app won't open

people are saying that the youtube app is kinda laggy and choppy, i can't even get it to open at all. i click on the shortcut and it immediately goes back to the homescreen. anybody else get this? same for me on tnt and zpad
It's very hit and miss for me (TnT Lite 1.02) - usually it's very choppy - haven't pinned down the cause but a few people have suggested clearing the cache (can be done in clockworkmod recovery).
This actually happened to me on the zpad ROM, after the market fix i just re-downloaded it (and most of the same apps I have for updates) and now it opens and shows a list of videos. I didn't actually click on them to test them, but i assume it's a good start.
On Zpad 1106, the Youtube app I have works very well; smooth with no sound or video problems.

i can't even get it to open on 1106. it either just won't open or fc. oh well, are you by any chance getting the inconsistent uid pop up?
Turning stagefright off in your build.prop may help with streaming media. I know that it has been cited as a cause for low quality audio. I can't remember if it affects video though. I think it does...

Whenever I have seen that I have had to repartition the internal SD card using Clockwork. The setting is under advanced in Clockwork. You can format it all the way to 4gb now. Has something to do with getting a mix of Zpad and TnT on your machine.

what are the advantages of repartitioning the internal? the 1.6gb seems like plenty of room.

I can confirm the clear dalvik cache fix. You tube worked when I first loaded it. Then choppy today. I just cleared cashe, rebooted and voila, youtube works perfect now. NOt sure how often I will have to perform this.
Youtube should work and not have to do this. One more reason fine hardware will not get a chance to be used much, since "out of box" consumers (most people) will return for this and other reasons already pointed out.
Ironic we have a good FW package, but not through the expected source (the OEM).

i'll try that later, but the youtube app has never once even opened for me much less worked at all.

Fix to access all (most) apps in the market on VEGAn-TAB 5.1.1

Received my G Tablet from Woot yesterday and within 5 minutes of using the stock ROM knew I wanted to replace it. I installed VEGAn-TAB 5.1.1 and was quite pleased. The only problem was many missing apps in the market. I tried a lot of market fix methods with no success until I watched and followed this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2YcJdxJ24U&sns=em
By following his specific order I was able to access every app I wanted. I was surprised it worked because I had basically done the same thing 4 times prior. It was the order shown in the video that seemed to make the difference.
Worked for me as well
I followed along and the video played and the only thing different for me was that after the power on, when I started the market, it failed again. I though it didn't work, and that I may have busted more then the Market, so I opened GMail. GMail opened fine, so tried the Market again, and it worked.
The video mentioned that they weren't sure if purchased apps would work. While I didn't buy any from my GTab, I was able to download apps that I had purchased already, so that would lead me to believe it should work fine.

I have several paid apps that are showing up in my apps in the market. I haven't tried to install any yet though.
Thanks for the link Doc, we are in the same situation with our Woot Tabs

You're welcome. I was at my wits end trying to fix the market. Finally this did the trick.

[Q] Flash Player 10.3 won't install on new TF

My 1st post...need help, please.
I got my Transformer yesterday...everything's great except Flash Player 10.3 won't install. Yet no problems with other apps I've done.
I done it about 10-15 times through android.market and just end up with the message 'this app will be downloaded to your device shortly'...only it's been going on over 12 hours and it hasn't.
Tried it through default brower (app store directly)& DolphinHD...I can see it download, but it won't install.
I think on the 1st download I got disconnected from the server, but retried a lot of times since.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
PS Just tried something I found where Facebook app took a long time to install.
I hit the upper right 'app', saw the download appear and installed from there-that worked for this one and a couple others...but, not for Adobe Flash-tried it numerous times. Still looking for a solution, since this is why I wanted the transformer(s)
Find the thread named "flash 10.3 modded for hulu" or something like that and download the apk from there, then sideload it. From reading your post it seems u were trying to install flash from the web market and not the market app on the phone? If you haven't perhaps try that. Sometimes even on the market app some apps might take a few tries to install.

i've had issues with the market where it will say it is downloading something, but never starts.
easy fix, back out, then go back to the app you want to install and click install again. this solution has worked for me the handful of times I have needed it.
Thank You both for the help! Boy, this shows me being a newbie
I got it and I don't know how long I had it after trying 30-40 times. When I go into settings/applications/Manage applications...it was sitting there!
But, when I look at My Apps it was still sitting there to install and never gave me a message that I already had it. And when I looked at app icons it didn't show up...since learned it's not an application, but a plug in-so I was looking for it in the wrong place.
Lacrossev, Thanks, I did find that thread. Got as far as manually downloading it to my computer, plugged my TF into the computer which it saw....then I got totally lost on what to do. Now I'll search for more info on 'sideloading' in case I need it in the future.
In the end I spent 4-5 hours fighting this and had the fool thing-wow!
Thank you again Elgenja and Lacrossev for taking the time to write! Just yesterday I was going to send it back, now I really like it and not having any other problems...really pleased and learning.
Unless watching Hulu is a must for you right this moment, I wouldn't bother with the modded flash package just yet. It's still a work in progress, the current version bugs out if your browser is ever closed, and requires you to uninstall then reinstall flash to get working again. The install process for it is also a tiny bit gimmicky at the moment. If you just want flash working for everything else, just stick with what you have and enjoy hulu when the modded package works more easily and is more stable. That said, I follow those directions there everyday when I watch hulu on the TF, it works.

I had flash already, but when I upgraded to 10.3, it kept on saying done, but still shows that it's not installed and the "update" button was still available. No matter how many times I press update, it didn't install. But after rebooting it did. Try that.
Had the same problem updating Flash with mine. Had to go into settings and Manage Applications and uninstall the Flash that was already there. Then killed Market app using Advanced Task Killer. Opened Market again and it installed fine.

[Q] cannot watch Netflix on cm_tf101-b2

I installed cm_tf101-b2, kernel and gapps. I downloaded Netflix app and logged in with no problem. But when I touched to watch the video, netflix was loading forever or shutdowned. Is there any fix for this?
Thank you.
Uninstall/reinstall netflix and try a reboot? It should work. I'm running the exact same rom as you and just finished watching a few episodes of 'How it's Made' less than an hour ago. The wifi strength can be a little low on this rom so you might want to check to see if Netflix runs while you're closer to your router?
On reading your post again, it looks like you installed the KAT kernel too? I didn't do that. I don't know if that will make a difference though.
Hopefully you have Titanium Backup? If so then restore a previous version. The latest version of Netflix isn't working properly. Go to market and read the comments. I updated and just like you, I could get past the load screen on my TF and my SGS3. So i just restored a previous version and both loaded up straight away.
I'm running K900's latest JB build and the latest Netflix and it is working almost perfectly for me.

Lenovo Tab TB-X103F Running Lineage OS 14.1 Amazon Prime Video Force Close

EDIT : One time, Prime Video began to load a few images before it force closed.
First and foremost, I have tried searching to no avail. And the OP in this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/req-walmart-black-friday-tablet-lenovo-t3508508) doesn't seem to know, either. So I'm attempting to cast a wider net here. Thanks in advance.
I have a Lenovo Tab TB-X103F 10.1 inch tablet. It's a budget model that Wal-Mart was selling for real cheap earlier this year. (Only 1GB of RAM.) It originally shipped with Android Marshmallow, but in the months since, TWRP and Lineage OS 14.1 were ported to it. Lineage OS runs great. And even though there's some lag, it's not terrible. Overall a decent tablet.
Anyway, back when I was on the stock ROM, I loved using the tablet to watch Amazon Prime Video. But it doesn't seem to work for me since I installed Lineage OS. I'll install the Amazon Underground app. That works fine. I install the Amazon Prime Video app from there. When I open the app, it'll come up, look like it's trying to load something, and then close. All I get was that Prime Video has stopped. No error code. No way (as far as I know) to output some kind of log. Nothing that I can use to help diagnose this.
Oddly, the OP was able to get it to run on his system without a problem.
I've reinstalled newer builds of the OS with full wipes, even wiping user data. Everything else, including stuff like Youtube works fine, so I know it can still handle streaming video.
I've also uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, cleared the cache, cleared all data. Everything I can think of. I don't know why it refuses to work on my system, but the OP can still use it on his.
Even having Root (with and without Magisk) or no root has zero effect. Still get force closes.
Sorry this ran a bit long, but I hope you can help me figure this out. If you know of some way I can log this to aid in diagnosing the problem, please let me know.
Thanks very much in advance!
EDIT: Here's the logcat pull for this. It's long, and I can't make any sense of this, but I think the amazon prime video stuff is near the bottom. I opened the app multiple times ad let it shut down like it does to make sure I had the whole thing captured.
Hope someone can help. Thanks.
I can't upload the logcat.txt directly, as the uploader says its too big.
Here's a link to a version of it on Google Drive. Hope that will work...
EDIT: See bottom post for logcat file.
New Logcat file
Here's a new logcat file. This one is much shorter, and is directly linked. No google drive required.
I hope you can help with this. I've had no luck, and the OP for the rom can't seem to reproduce the error on his end. Frustrating.
Thank you in advance.
