[Q] How to get back to custom roms? - HTC Inspire 4G

Hey guys, hope you can help me out. I was on a custom rom then was having issues with the radio and what not and GPS not working. I decided to do RUU and get back to stock ROM. What is the best way to get back to custom ROMS? Do I have to redo the hack kit? If it helps, I still have s-off. Thank you.
EDIT: Only reason I was asking was because the hard drive on my desktop where I had all the files and stuff for rooting, crashed and lost everything. Was looking to see if there was another method to load a custom rom. Tried CWM and it says it needs superuser permission...

Did i brick my phone?

Well i recently put a custom ROM(Cyanogen 7) and at first it was all good but when I tried to revert it back to the regular ROM was when the problem started. Now everytime i start the phone all i get is the Cyanogen 7 loading animation and it just keeps playing over and over. Did i brick my phone? Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried to reset everything, i've tried to download another custom ROM over it and had no luck, and i've tried to find the original ROM on the computer but was unable to. Help please

Did you mess around with a custom kernel along with your CM ROM?
You can still get into Clockwork recovery, correct? Get one of the stock nandroid images from the Development section and reflash both the stock kernel and stock system partitions.

[Q] bootloop after installing ANY custom ROM

Hey there,
I have an interesting problem, and it has completely stumped me for the past couple days. I recently S-Off'd my Sensation, put cwm recovery on it, and set my CID to 11111111.
I haven't had any problems with that (except that I had to change computers to do it, Revolution didn't want to run right on my laptop or set the CID, so I had to use my desktop).
Now the problem comes when I try to flash a custom ROM. The first one I tried flashing was CM7. When it booted, I got a bootloop problem of the CM7 mod logo over and over. I decided maybe it was a problem with CM7 still being in alpha. Then I tried flashing HyperSensation 1.8, and got the same error (bootloop) on the loading screen. After trying various other ROMS, I realized that it was a common problem with all custom ROMS. Luckily I had backed up the stock setup, and was able to get into that. So it's not a problem with the hardware. I have only tried flashing gingerbread ROMS. I know that ICS ROMS need a new firmware, but I dont want to mess with that unless I can actually get a gingerbread ROM working first...
Any ideas? There was a thread or two about this (on other phones) but didn't have any solutions listed..
Thanks for any ideas people can give me!

Hi,
Did you root your phone?
Did you flash the superwipe zip first?
Also are you getting full reboots with HTC splash screen then animation or just the animation looping? Sometimes I have to let mine loop for 5 minutes after first boot of new rom before it settles.

I guess I hadn't done everything.. I didn't factory reset before flashing the new ROM... As soon as I did that it boot right in. That's a bit odd to me, as I didn't have to do that with my last phone.
Anywho, solved.

[Q] need help returning htc one s to stock

I really need some help on this. I recently decided to root my phone so i could use wifi tether to use my hotspot without tmobile charging me for it. I put trickdroid 9.1 on it and now i cant use my hotspot at all. I also accidentally erased the backup i had, so all i have on it is trickdroid. Ive tried reinstalling the stock rom using the ruu i found for my device, i relocked it beforehand as instructed, and it wont work. It keeps saying the battery level is below 30% and its fully charged. i want to put the stock back on it so i can put cyanogenmod on there. If there is some other way i can do this without putting the stock back on I;m game for that too. Please help

I don't understand.
Your on a custom ROM, now you want to go stock and then flash a custom ROM again. Does not make sense.
If you want help.
Post some better info about the device.
Like hboot/cid/tried ruu/etc

No need to go back to stock, just download cm or whatever ROM you want. Use flash image gui to flash the boot.img (or fastboot), then flash ROM zip in recovery.

[Q] How to flash stock rom after unlocking, rooting & flashing custom rom

I have a TmoUS HTC One S, and I unlocked bootloader, rooted my phone and flashed Pacman 22.3 on my phone. I like the rom, but it has slowed my phone and made it quite buggy. It soft-resets at least once a day and randomly gets stuck on lock-screen and I have to wait a couple minutes to try again. Anyway, those are just a couple of my annoying bugs that I don't want to deal with anymore. I'd like to just go back to the stock rom, but as I've found out, I can't restore from a previous backup.
As I'm relatively new to smart-phones, rooting, installing roms. I need a straightforward tutorial on how to flash the stock rom. I've read through the xda forums but cant seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And I apologize in advance if this wasn't the correct thread to post in.
PS - Not sure if this make any difference, but I have CWM installed as my recovery.

make backup first
change cid back to original (if needed)
flash stock jb recovery (extract from ruu or ota, or google it on xda)
flash latest tmous jb ruu. (latest ota is also availible in ruu form)

[RESOLVED] SIM unlock?

I am traveling to Europe soon and would like to SIM-unlock my phone.
I have the unlock code, but since I am currently on Fulmics 5.3, the unlock code doesn't work.
I think I need to get back to some stock-based rom.
My issue is, I am having trouble finding such a rom, and I am afraid to brick the device that's working fine right now.
Could someone please point me to a stock-based rom which would allow me to SIM-unlock?
Should I just install this ROM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-lg-d850-20f-lollipop-5-0-1-extras-t3052041
Kind of scared of going back to Lollipop from a MM-based rom.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Went with installing the ROM linked above. Went smooth. SIM unlock also went smooth. Currently restoring nandroid backup, hope this works out as it should.
Edit2: All is well.
