I have 3 gmail accounts setup and id like to have it open the list of accounts when i click the gmail icon instead of going to the inbox of the last openned account. Kinda of like when i get an email notifacation in the taskbar, i slide the taskbar down and click on the notifacation, it opens the accounts list, when i have email in multiple accounts. If i have email in one account, it just opens that email.
Does anyone understand what im talking about?

1st android phone so this maybe something simple. I go into Accounts & Sync, click add account, scroll down to the bottom for Yahoo!, and sign in to my yahoo account with name/pw. I choose to have it sync mail only, then done. But nothing happens. It's not syncing mail, and there's no little green checkmark next to Yahoo like there is for Google/T-Mobile back on the list of accounts (afterl clicking add account). What am I not doing correctly?
I have my browser Gmail configured to send from my Gmail or my @gatech.edu email, so how do I select the @gatech.edu email address from the updated Gmail app?
When composing or replying to a message, you should see your default @gmail address in a bar across the top. If you tap that, it gives a drop-down menu of available addresses to use instead.
Ah, there it is now. I guess it had to sync the changes on its own. I tried manually syncing after adding the account, but it didn't give me the option until this morning.
I have 3 gmail accounts, and 5 regular POP accounts through my ISP.
In one of my Gmail accounts... lets call this my MASTER account.. I have it set to check my other 5 POP accounts and then put those other POP accounts into their own labels as well as combine everything into the INBOX.
On my Samsung Droid Charge running Froyo 2.2 I use the GMAIL app... in the app I have 3 GMAIL accounts setup. I have my MASTER gmail account, my gmail1 and my gmail2 accounts.
I find that the MASTER gmail account does not get me all of my POP accounts mail right away? sometimes I get my POP mail through this gmail account delayed by at least 15 minutes or more.
Coming from a Blackberry this is very annoying because the blackberry just 'pushed' me all of my accounts right away.. almost instantly... is there a way to have the Gmail MASTER account PUSH me my POP accounts instantly?
I heard that using the android EMAIL app and manually setting up all your POP3 accounts that you are PULLING mail and have to have the phone check the mail servers every few minutes.. this will KILL your battery very fast is what I hear... so that's why I am using the MASTER gmail account to get my POP accounts as well..
second question is... on the Android GMAIL app.. is there a way to combine ALL my gmail accounts into a single INBOX? I have 3 different gmail accounts setup and I have to toggle between each one to check the mail in each account... my blackberry used to take ALL of my accounts and put them all into a single message inbox on the phone... much easier and faster to read..

On my Thunderbolt, I have to use the HTC email client to check all my accounts in one box. If there is a way of doing it on the native gmail client, I have yet to figure it out as well. And yes, it is annoying.
I've given up with checking POP accounts. They never seem to load anything.
go on your computer and go to your gmail.. then under the settings you can add POP account checking to your gmail account.. then install the 'gmail app' on your phone and set up your gmail account... then you should see all the POP accounts come through into that gmail account as well... I just wish it was faster for the POP accounts.. more like PUSH email...
the blackberry always seemed to get my POP accounts right away! sometimes faster than even my microsoft outlook on the computer did.. and my outlook on computer is set to check my POP accounts every minute.

Go into your settings-->Accounts and Sync-->Add Account (upper right corner)
Select Google Account and add your other gmail account there. If you only want to sync the gmail uncheck each box to sync except gmail. When you open gmail, in the upper left corner where it shows your email address, click on it and it will show the others that you have added.
I have multiple accounts but I forward all of their mail to a master account and I just sync that one.

On my gmail account on the mail app, I have two emails that link to it. I actually have four, but only two show up. Well, I recently deleted that website and the two email accounts that went with it. I then deleted them from gmail via settings from my gmail account via the browser.
I then deleted my gmail account from the mail app, BUT the two email accounts linked to my gmail account are still there as labels. I can't get raid of them. How?
I tried deleting them when you select folder options, but they just move further down, without getting deleted...
Might be a bug in the Mail app, but the easiest fix that comes to mind is deleting and re-adding the Gmail account.
