G tablet is stuck - G Tablet General

My G Tablet freezes on boot up. First it will freeze on just the birds. Then if I try the power and Vol + it freezes there too.
When i plug it into my Win7 machine it shows up in device manager as ADB Composite device, but does not show up in explorer.
It was running Vegan, i was loading random non hacker stuff from market, and it locked up.
I have done the stuff on this link:
androidtablets.net/forum/viewsonic-tablets/5377-adb-g-tab-step-step.html
When i get to step 11 the command prompt tells me that it cant find the USB device.
Does anyone have anything they can suggest for this?

same problem, did u able to fix it ?
my gtablet stuck on the Viewsonic screen with "Recovery key detected"
I don't even see the tablet as ADB in the device manager.
can you pls post your learnings ?

[Q] I need help! My TF got stuck and can't boot into recovery!!!

My Tf got stuck at the logo Eee Pad boot after I tried to restore the old rom, and now it can't do anything except boot and stuck at the logo.
I tried the nvflash unbricking technique from rayman84 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123429
, but my TF only listed as unknown device when I tried to get to APX mode and it also said,
"This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)"
Now I don't know what else to do. Please help! I hope I am not completely bricked the device yet.
Have you tried the button combo to get into recovery?
Press and hold the Vol down + power button.
When prompt, you'll see lines of words at the top left of the screen, push the Vol up button immediately within 5 sec to get into recovery.
Apparently, I didn't know the button combo. Anyways you save my niece's TF. Thanks a bunch
Edit: although the tablet is working now, it still got the message usb unknown device. Do you know how to fix it?
Hi, i don't know if i should post a new thread but my problem is almost the same as bengob3t's one.
I have a brand new TF101 with a B70 Serial number, but i successfully rooted it using the RazorClaw Tool. Then i tried to install clockwork mod followin this topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106587
I directly applied the instructions from step 8 (download hashmyfiles etc...) and i rebooted my Eee pad manually step 13
I didn't see any progress bar, but my device is stuck on the Asus screen, and the speakers make stange noises at regular intervals.
I am able to go into recovery though (power + vol down then vol up) but the factory reset doesn't work, and i cant really do anything (at least not anything that i know what it is).
Is my tablet definitely bricked ? If not, how can i bring it back to life ?
I wasn't able to use NVFlash, as i can't seem to go in APX mode. I press power+vol up, i hear the sound usb device connected and immediately after i hear the sound "usb device disconncted"
Nvflash says
"Nvflash started
rcm version 0X4
Command send failed (usb write failed)"
Thanks in advance for your help.
EDIT : When i put the micro sdcard from my phone into the tablet, i am able to mount it. So i will probably be able to flash something from it, but what ? Do i have to flash a recovery ? Directly a custom rom ?
I'm a little lost, but i'll try to give you guys as mush info as i can find.
EDIT2 : I flashed the PRIME rom, everything seems to be back to normal... if you got info on my situation, don't hesitate to fill me in ^^ i'd like to understand what i did wrong, even though i dodged the bullet.

Do you have the correct driver installed? Do you have Asus sync install on your PC?
hmm.. I'm not sure. I downloaded the unbricked tool nvflash file, and the tool already had usb driver inside it. Is that the driver you were talking about? I never were able to get to the point where I need to point the APX to where the driver located because it always said unknown driver the whole time.

[Q] Has My xoom bit the bullet ?

Yesterday I went to go on my Motorola xoom wifi and boot logo was displayed and the back was very warm. Reset the device and it stayed on boot logo. Tablet was running fine the day before. I tried fastboot, RSD and recovery and the pc only discovers Xoom in RSD mode, Recovery does not even load. I grabbed RSD lite and tried to flash a sbf file. program detects tablets flashes rom and reboots tablet when finished. then the program sits there counting up to 100% then says "please manually power up this phone". If I reboot tablet stays at logo screen. Is there any way to sort, bear in mind I cant only connect to tablet in RSD mode. tried 2 computers and four cables and still fastboot is waiting for device.
Thank you for reading this post.
Current device Properties in RSD Lite.
IMEI/ESN/MEID: N / A
Technology: N / A
Software Version: N / A
Flex Version: N / A
Boot Version: N / A
DRM Version: N / A
Your battery might be bad but try these with your xoom plugged into a power source.
Can you get into recovery? with power off press the power button 3 seconds after moto logo press volume down you will see recovery across top press vol up. If you can do a factory wipe
Have you tried getting into fastboot mode? with power off press press power while holding vol down. if you can we can try and fastboot the files.
If I select recovery I get
-->Android Recovery
Entering Android Recovery Mode
and the Motorola Logo in center of screen. Nothing else Happens.
In Fastboot mode Nothing shows in Device Manager and all I get at cmd is Waiting for device after "fastboot devices" command
I managed to flash "HUBWF_W5.H.6.4-20_SIGNED_UCAHUBLWFRTCOREEU_P010_A010_M004_HWwifi_hubble_AP1FF" in RSD Lite but same prob loads boot logo and nothing else. Is it possible this could be a cpu error ? as rom was running at 1.5ghz and if stuck in boot at 1.5ghz for a few hours more likely damage would occur.
I don't think it is the cpu overclock because when you flash a new rom it would wipe your settings.
Do you have adb install on your pc?
I have adb installed on pc yes but no way to talk to the tablet.
Thank you for your response.
Do you have another device such as your phone you can plug in to your pc and see if adb is working by typing adb devices.

If I plug my HTC one X into the computer both fastboot and adb list it.
Thank you for your response.
The only thing I can think of is that the battery is going bad and causing issues. Since you flash new software, can't get out of the bootloop and the back is hot I would see about replacing it. You can try a soft reset but I don't think it will help. hold down both vol buttons and the power button until your xoom restarts.
I am not 100% sure if it is your battery but I am out of suggestions. I know when the batteries go bad in our devices it can cause issues.

[Q] Bricked TF101?

Hello everyone,
some days ago I flashed Android Revolution HD but shortly I've found out that the TF101 wasn't recognized anymore by my PCs. When I've inserted the stock cable the tablet turned on but nor win 8.1 64bit nor windows 7 64bit recognized it. It even hasn't appeared between the unknown devices in the related window, so I couldn't install any drivers. Then I've decided to clean cache and system on TWRP recovery and after reboot the TF101 was stuck on logo screen, the boot one, not the next one with the ASUS logo.
Now the stock cable and the stock charger still work, they charge the tablet but the charging screen doesn't appear, if I turn on the device, it shows only the first android logo with the green bar, if I try to enter recovery with volume down button, it says 'entering the recovering' but it doesn't go any further. Last chance is the APX mode, with the volume up and turn on button: I've tried it but I can't recognize if it enters APX or not, I only know that in the devices list doesn't appear any unknown device, and I'm sure that the TF101 has never been connected before to this PC. At least, if I was able to connected it in APX I would use Easyflasher and flash stock rom.
Basically now it's a bricked tablet, any help please? Someon can tell me specifically how to enter APX mode, or is it a cable issue? Is this thing called 'governor' related to this?

TWRP Reboot Loot

Hi! I rooted my tab, installed TWRP and flash a custon rom (CM 11). Everything was fine until I done a factory reset (needed to complete something). Now my tab keeps restarting. I can not access it (via fastboot or adb - <wait for device>). I don`t know what to do? I can not enter in TWRP menu or console (do nothing), only restarting. Power + Vol Down does no work, i can not stop my tab. Please, any help????
Try with cmd command "adb shell recovery --wipe_data"
have the same issue and adb commands do not work at all. Seriously looking at getting a new motherboard for it. Since it is stuck boot looping, neither adb nor fastboot see the device
Whrere you tablet loops; On asus logo or after that;Sorry for my englisg
Tablet boots to Asus logo, then get to TWRP logo and sits there. Eventually it just reboots and repeats. I haven't tried to get into apx mode yet.
have you installed naked drivers;.There is for usb drivers...
Not yet, gonna try and install the naked drivers tonight using the apx mode and see how that goes. Right now, in the boot loop, the computer never recognizes the tablet, so I can't do the device manager bit needed to install the naked drivers. I do have adb and fastboot on the pc already. It is how I flashed TWRP to begin with
when you plug table to pc with usb nothing jappens.?Windows not show "new device found"?
No nothing happens at all. I can't even seem to get it into apx mode. The tablet starts and I get the Asus logo. Then 4 penguins and then the TWRP logo. It hangs on the TWRP logo for about 20 seconds and then reboots. It will reboot three times in total and then shut down. Thinking it is my cheap chinese USB cord that is the issue. I am going to order a new cable and a broken/parts tablet off ebay. My case is having issues anyway. I will swap out the parts I need and make one good tablet. I will still keep this motherboard around to see if I can fix it
when twrp logo and connect usb what happend?windows doing something?
Windows does nothing. I am sure that it is my USB cable. I have ordered an actual Asus cable off of ebay and will see what happens when it shows up
Well, I hit the wall with this tablet and can't get it to do anything as far as fixing it. I started searching Ebay for a new motherboard and stumbled across a bunch of auctions for TF300Ts with keyboard docks. Bought one for 35$ + shipping. It should be here on thursday. I will still eventually get a new motherboard for the other one

Shield Tablet problems: ADB, Recovery Mode, Fastboot... = DEAD?

I can imagine that you all are tired of reading this headline, but seriously, ME TOO.
I have been looking for information about this issue during several weeks and I have not found any solution, so I would extremely thank you if you take your time reading this problem and trying to help me finding a solution.
Some months ago I tried to flash a ROM on my Shield Tablet, I followed all the steps from a topic in this forum: [Complete Guide] SHIELD Tablet K1 Root, Custom Rom and Xposed Framework but I wanted to try a different ROM: CARBON-CR-5.1-MOO-WEEKLY-shieldtablet-20170216-0454 (the name of the file) And now I have a tablet that is stuck on the Carbon launch screen every time I turn it on, when I press volumen down + power it goes into the screen buttt as soon as I press recovery mode the only thing it does is to restart itself and stays stuck in the NVIDIA screen. The Minimal ADB and Fastboot do not recognize the tablet with the adb devices command.
When I turn on the tablet (and stays stuck into the IOS icon as I mentioned before) and connect it to the PC the device manager recognize the tablet as a Portable device with the name: MTP USB device, when I press the power+volumen down the PC recognize the tablet as an Android Device -> Android Bootloader Interface. And this is all the information I have about my problem...
May you help me?
Thank you in advance. I hope your knowledge will help me and other people with the same problem. If you need more information of this problem let me know and I'll answer ASAP. If you have any idea tell me and I'll try it.

Your device is not, dead, it's only taking some time to reflect
First of all, I understood that you're able to access to the device's bootloader menu, through the button combo (black screen with white text, "continue","restart bootloader","recovery mode"), and you selected "recovery mode".
Now, unless you have flashed a custom recovery, there's nothing to do with the shield's stock recovery, so, just enter in the bootloader menu as you did, without selecting any option.
You are now in "fastboot mode", in order to check your device's connection you have to write in the adb shell
Code:
fastboot devices
If you see your device you can now boot a custom recovery that will help you to fix the problems you caused, I would follow this link: (copy-paste, can't post links)
"nvidiashieldzone.com/shield-tablet/shield-tablet-root/root-shield-tablet-v1-marshmallow/"
And do the 8th step, in "Root procedure"
Fastboot with TWRP
Type “fastboot devices” Copy and make sure your Shield Tablet is visible.
If your Shield Tablet is listed, type “fastboot boot twrp-20151227-EXPERIMENTAL-shieldtablet-m.img” Copy (or whatever you named it) and hit enter. If your TRWP image filename has a space in it, you may have issues.
After 15 seconds or so (be patient), you should see the TWRP Recovery screen. Note: This experimental version has some UI issues, just keep at it.
You may be prompted with something to do with the system being READ ONLY. Accept the default and swipe.

Use fastboot to wipe cache (fastboot erase cache) then try to flash TWRP (with fastboot) again. This will often clear up issues with being unable to boot to TWRP (at least on other devices).
If you are able to boot TWRP, restore the TWRP backup (if you made one) or put another ROM on the phone, and flash it.
I also have this kind of problem. After i update twrp by flashing it and restore a backup the sistem doesnt show. Stucks on nvidia logo. I tried even restore my recent backup but nothing also. Any idea ?
