[Q] do you recommend sonyerricson mw600 for galaxy s? - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

Guys if Anyone using sonyerricson mw600 bleutooth stereo headphones with samsung galaxy s kindly guide me!
How is sound quality with music and call?
Is there any difficulty in using with galaxy s?
Is there any problem with audio quality?
someone say there is excessive treble while listening music is this true?
I am planned to buy these, so do you recommend these for samsung galaxy s!

I have been using a MW600 with My Galaxy S for a few Months.
Sound is fantastic. You may have to adjust the EQ. But other than that, Calls are clear and Voice Dial works a treat.
Only thing with the MW600 is that no song info will display on the Headset and when an incoming call comes through, only the Callers Number will Display. Not the Name.

yeah ... I second that ... great sound from mw600 in general... used this gadget with xperia x10 , desire hd and have to say that they sound best when paired with SGS...
p.s. I don't rmbr ever seeing the song info or the incoming call contact name even when using it with SE xperia x10 ...

THANK YOU
Thank you guys for your valuable reply!

I'm using MW600 with Vivaz, and sound is great showing Callers name (if you have it in contacts of course) songs also showing titles and artist at start.

howmuch this ?

Hey i got it few days back for INR 4000 its awesome! Full paisa wasool!

Using the MW600 too.
Heres my 2cents:
- Music Quality is good.
- Cant see track info on display (androids/googles fault)
- Audio quality on calls could be better
- Batterytime is better than exspected
For the price and the possibility to use every headphone i want with a 3.5mm jack its totally worth it .

how is it that it works for you?
hey guys, i also have the mw600 and a galaxy s.. but the experience is different for me..
for some weird reason, the mw600 produces a weird metallic noise, and it distorts the music..
i've read somewhere that other people have these problems too, they say it's because of the android bluetooth stack..
anyway, I suspect my custom rom behind this horrible experience.. i'm using darky's v8.1, and i haven't really done tests with the stock roms..
may i ask what roms you guys have? may save me the hassle of reverting to stock

I've mw600 and I pair it with my captivate successfully. Music quality is good but if I use it for phone call the sound is poor. I don't know what is the problem. I've used many modems but the sound is still not good. Any suggestions?

Tried the mw600. not very impressive but is acceptable.

Ben using out for a while.great little device. Music player on froyo didn't support the button controls but ginger bread does. No id3 heard android it self doesn't support it yet. Call iss good. Vlingo works.

[A] You bet. It even has enough power to drive my Sennheiser HD25, which is surprising to say the least!

Great device , battery lasts very long.
I use it with mdr xb40ex its an awesome combination. Works with Mort Player

Only thing is that android still can not display id3 tags....but great device...

Does anyone is using it with CM9? Does it support already listing song titles?
And second thing - how long can you listen music on one charging?

Using MW600 with CM9 AOKP build 39- id3 tags work with default player (Google Play Music), sound quality awesome after applying some fixes- definetly would recommend the purchase.
Usage time varies, but usually not less than 8h on one charge.

Headset bluetooth connection problem

Hi friends, i bought yesterday a bluetooth samsung hm1500 headset (2.1 bt + edr)
http://www.mytrendyphone.com/shop/samsung-hm1500-bluetooth-27371p.html
and i can't connect with tg01. The phone cannot detect it. I tried everything for hours , tried with all available roms but still nothing.
Can anyone help please ?
Use the traditional problem solving procedure
1) Test your new headset with another phone (friend, relative....)
2) Test your TG01 with another Bluetooth device
Good luck! Tell us the results
Motorola are the best
Bluetooth headphones are real fussy. Motorola's pretty much work with everything I've found.
Thanks friends for the replies, i send it back, doa, i tried with 3 other mobile phones and nothing with noone conected only with my laptop was possible to connect, very special bluetooth.
Has anyone found a bluetooth headset that one can have a decent conversation with others without having problems of not being heard loudly? I have two headsets, a cheap ebay hong-kong one and a Nokia BH-215. People complain hearing me very low with both. If i get away from the phone but within the bt radius things get even worse and don't get better even if i get close to the phone again. I think it's because of the phone and not the headset.
Did you try SRS 3 cabs install?
No but i used it once and i remeber that it messed up my bt connection. But that was back in 6.5.x rom. Maybe i''l give it a shot now that i'm on 6.1.

Kevin i bought one but still connection tends to lose sound quality with too much "noise garbage" in it. Can you tell me with which radio have you been using it with? Is it the 1600 of the rom in your signature?
Thanx

Hi Jonous,
I'm using it with the other radio - what was effectively the 'Italian' stock radio 0300.76
It's difficult to compare notes with this sort of thing remotely... but I'd confrm that there is 'some' degree of background noise present even on this high-end BT headset device when compared direct to a hard wired uUSB connection (into the same earphones - per my sig). Like any audio device, I'd recommend keeping the volume level on any element in the chain to < 60% in order to keep noise down.
DEspite the above, I'd regard the MW600 as a quite capable piece of kit in conjunction with the TG01 giving extra flexibility - but it is a trade-off to some extent with quality.

Hehe i feel like an idiot, i enbarked on an endless journey of flashing and flashing different radios and trying out the sound quality of each one cause bt headset is very important for me. When i got to 0300.76 suddenly sound was crystal clear! On the 1st test call. On the second call i was bearly heard, crappy sound again. Then it it struck to me...I remembered that sometimes when you press the answer call button of the headset the sound is transfered to the phone...I thought "no it can't be...if this is it i'm a real idiot!!!" And yes, when i pressed the button again sound was transfered to the headset and sound was magnificent! So the lousy sound i got with all other roms was because i was trying to be heard through the phone's micrphone which was some 2-3 away from me hahaha so other end of line heard little or nothing.
Well enough said, this headset is brilliant, loud n clear sound, caller id, fm radio everything! well almost, i wish it had vibration too but don't care, i'm happy with my buy! Thanks again

You are most welcome - I'm delighted you are up and running and happy with the S-E MW600 headset. There are so many variables with these things as well as the subjective element wjhen it comes to perceived audio quality that it is difficult to translate one person's experience to another. Great news
the Sony MW600 is really great !
But don´t forget to increase the bitrate of the streaming codec.
I modified/added this values in HLKM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings
BitPool 65
MinSupportedBitPool 65
MaxSupportedBitpool 65
SampleRate 48000
SubBands 8
Blocks 16
Allocation 1
UseJointStereo 1
Unfortunately Track names are not submitted like with SE or some HTC phones
Hi Friends!!!
I have also the same problem with a BT car.
And the problem is like it´s been described (sound very loud in the microphone)....
I remember that in my I780, I changed some settings (don´t remember if it was in Hardware or registry).
Anyone had a solution?

i5700 sound issue problems

I searched the forum and i didnt found the answer and appropriate topic-
Me and few of my friends having Spica, we are experiencing problems with really bad sound quality - each mp3 played by system player or other players like meridian or cubed has some pops, or cracks in different moment of playing.
It sound very simillar to cracks on old vinyl/LP records.
Also on the speaker i have those cracks not only on headphones.
I had this issue on 1.6 on 2.1 clean software, and also on LeshaKs custom kernels.
I think its an software problem(maybe driver?) because more of those sounds appear when Spica is using 3G or Wifi or if its heavy loaded. Some of my friends get rid of this by installing new kernel but for me it doesnt work, also in one case two of my pals get rid of it doing nothing on the phone - it just disappeared one day..
Any ideas whats wrong with this phone? Maybe some1 found the solution already?
Because its really annoying and i cant listen to music
Not had that problem with mine. Running original 1.5 the phone shipped with

I noticed this as well, the weird thing is that the blips increase in frequency when i use my regular headphones instead of my in-ear headphones...
maybe it doesn't have enough power to drive the big speakers... I really wouldn't know, but using in-ear headphones drastically decreased the cracks and blips.
see if it works out for you.
My brother and GF both owns a spica and they don't have this problem. bring it back to where you bought it from before the warranty expires.
Blu Algae - Hmm maybe ask them if when they turn off the phone that crack sound appears from speaker? Even if that happened just once?
Cause I have it quite often..

[Q] SGS and Nokia BH-905 compatibility?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here has tried using their SGS with a Bluetooth headphone, eg the Nokia BH-905. I've never had a Bluetooth headphone before, been using earphones with wires since forever, but was thinking of making a transition.
Anyone tried the combination before? Does it work? Whats the quality like ?
I'm alright if it doesn't work for calls or can't control the music eg fast forward rewind etc, it doesn't really bother me as I leave everything on shuffle anyhow. Only thing that matters to me is if it is compatible, and how's the sound quality
Never had a Bluetooth to match to my SGS before, so I don't know how well it works.
It's kinda pricey, so I would like to know if it actually works before buying it.
on the side, anyone using a Bluetooth headphone, and any model you would recommend?
works perfect I´d recommend cheaper version for the not so sophisticated audio consumption
I personally use
LogiLink Bluetooth Stereo Headset V2.0
just google for them.... those are about 12 € and they are worth each cent
I can hear about 10 Hours music with them before the go down....
I have used Nokia BH-503 (or possibly a cheap copy of the BH-503, it was from DealExtreme) with no problems. There is about a 250ms delay on the sound so it's not the best if you want to watch video through headphones because the sound will be out of sync with the video, but it's fine for music.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I ended up going for the Sony DR-BT101, the Nokia BH905 seemed really good, but costs about 4-6 times more than the Sony, which I got for 44euros. Will let you know if its any good after I test it out, if anyones interested

[Q] Music quality issue "NO BASS"

I recently got my SGS I9000 international version with Froyo 2.2 pre-installed. when I plugged in ear-phones which came with it, the music quality was Okay but it was lacking bass so I tried changing settings, equalizer, effects, 5.1 Ch everything but nothing enhanced Bass.
I use Power AMP on my other android phone(LG P500) and when I installed same on SGS and increased bass, sound distortion was very high and output was bad and it couldn't produce bass however with same settings sound is great on my LG P500.
I have tried many headsets ans even external amplifier but no good.
Please Help! How can I fix this!
Where did you find an equalizer?
Dont know if you want to go down this route or know how to do this...go and look in the dev section...flash voodoo kernel 5.1 sound fix will sort your problem out....such a massive difference.

Thanks Rixsta
I am wondering if its a hardware issue or software as I have googled a lot about it and didn't fine anyone else complaining for same issue so is it only with my device?
An it would be difficult for me to go for flashing or porting ROMs etc. as I don't want to loose warranty.
Can you or someone from XDA tell me that what is the exact issue with sound? or can someone please install Power AMP and check the sound increasing Bass?
Thanks in advanced!
Voodoo Sound.
just for reference
I did not make any MOD to my phone, and the stock BASS / SUB / BASE sound is very good, even when i stream over BLUETOOTH to my car
or in my BLUETOOTH stereo headphones
it sounds even richer when using the 3.5 mm plug
Finally I flashed kernel to Voodoo_stable_5.1 (voided warranty).
Installed Voodoo sound from market it has option "bass on headphones" under FM Radio
Under WM8994 it has Headphone amplifier which increased the sound volume only "not bsss"
So still the issue remains same......I m not getting punchy bass as I have in other comparatively mid level phones.....I bought it because GSM Arena mentioned that it has perfect sound quality.
Please tell me is it the issue with my SGS only or every SGS has same kind of sound.
Yes manit, I can confirm which the fm radio on not vodoo kernel have "no bass". My friend have samsung wave 8500(bada o.s.)and the bass are ok on his fm radio. Don't understand why, but is so.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Actually I m not concern about FM radio sound......my problem is when I listen music in music player or "Power AMP " the music lacks Bass
Still I didn't get solution.....

Generally speaking, the earphones that come with phones are terrible and are not meant for music appreciation.. I'm not really surprised that you'd find terrible bass/distortion using them.

Quality seems fine to me... and quite durable!
Definitely better than stock ipod earplugs...
The quality of the bundled headphones could be worse...
With regards to sound quality flash a kernel that supports Voodoo Sound 4 and install the Voodoo app from the market place. From there if you plan on messing with the EQ in programs such as PowerAMP or Mixzing then turn the gain down (a long way down...) before you start mucking around with the bass. After that your music should be distortion free and very rumbley should you choose to make it so.

[Q] super charge the speaker?

I am seriously considering upgrading to this phone. my only concern is the speaker volume. I listen to audio books while driving. right now I use a samsung i617 and the speaker volume is pretty good for this purpose. I have no experience with any android phones so my question: is there or will there be any way to pump up the volume for music/audio books on this phone?
most HTC phones have this problem with quiet speakers. load cyanogen ROM which si a custom ROM, and it has an audio boost which works beautifully on the nexus one. at some point cyan will incorporate this for the inspire, so if you were to use cyanogen rom then this problem would be fixed.
i had htc hero and used louder volume hack v3.6...iut really boosts the volume of the speaker+headset volume+in-call volume
The Android Revolution 4G 4.0 ROM runs Gingerbread and has a +20% speakerboost.
I use the Motorola t505 Bluetooth to fm ad2p and put it through my card audio system. What app are you using for audiobook I haven't found a good one yet. :/

Only time i notice the volume low is on movies i put on the phone, and compared to the craptivate music is a tad.low. however all streaming vids are real loud (even the same movies, if i stream from pc or web instead of putting the same one on the phone).
Figured id mention this, for me its easier to not even transfer my vids i just stream them with wmp, so its not so much of an issue.
Guess depends what your useage and setup would be.
Dolby mobile, SRS, or built in effects also help.
Love this phone, so glad i sent that craptivate.back.

I listen to audible audio books in the car almost every day I commute to work. There is no way you would be able to hear this phone with even a little road noise. I use one ear bud (also for hands free) and that works just fine.
Somebody else asked about audio book apps. I use audible's android app and it works great. The only problem is you have to have an audible account and actually buy the books. Their app is cool and they have $5 book sales all of the time that actually make it cheaper than using a credit to buy a book. Worth looking into if you are an audiobook fan.
