I tried to add a widget today and for some reason a new widget menu popped up and I can't seem to add a widget anymore. I can scroll through the widgets but selecting the widget does nothing. I've tried switching different launchers (stock and adw launcher ex) but the same widget menu keeps popping up.
I press and hold the screen to get the regular menu pop up which looks normal, but when I select widgets, I get the screen in the attached screenshot. Has anyone had this issue before? I'm running tnt lite 4.2.4. It was also an issue on tnt lite 4.2.3 and not sure if its related to the ROM.
And it's fixed. I just realized I replaced the TNT Settings with the stock android Settings recently and that's what brought that menu up. Restoring the TNT Settings seems to have fixed it.

Good find. Was halfway through a wipe and reinstall before I realized it was a lame brain mistake I could have fixed in 3.5 seconds. Good learning experience though

Hey guys...
so i've downloaded adwlauncher (paid version) and during the first 2hours or so; i had the pop up "Complete with this action" with the choices of adwlauncher homescreen or my original stock one where i had the option to set one of them as a default. After these 2 hours, it stopped appearing? I tried restarting my phone, clear default (although there weren't none set; so the clear default icon was just flat), clear data...none of them proved to work. Pressing my home screen button just takes me to stock home screen even if i've clicked on the adw icon.
I'm using an xperia arc on the latest software update...(x-loud, horizontal homescreen etc.) Any ideas on how to fix this? All contributions greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I've solved it. I realised that i had already set the default to Sony Ericsson Home Screen as opposed to ADWLauncher; so i had to find the Sony Home Screen application in "all applications" list and the press clear default on that. No need for home switcher; although thanks for the suggestion xmsnx
Get the Home Switcher app from the Market, maybe that helps
thanks! i'll give it a try.
edit: nope didn't work? I pressed set adwlauncher as default but after i exit...its the same story. When i go back on homeswitcher...it says stock screen is default?
This is probably going to be a stupid question, but I just flashed Humble 1.62 with ADW Launcher and accidently removed the app drawer icon from the center of the dock, and now can't seem to get it back. I reset ADW Launcher to clear all the settings, and rebooted my phone, but still cannot get the dock configuration back to how it was.
I how to add apps to the dock, but dont know how to add the button for the app drawer itself back. Can anyone help me out here? I don't see any option in the settings to add it back in either. Thanks.
Nevermind...I figured it out. Long pressed on home screen, and created a custom short cut...then dragged it down to my dock.
Hi,
Just got HTC One X today and immediately updated to JB. After installing my apps and setting it up, I noticed that certain widgets would disappear from my home screen (Nova Launcher) and from lock screen (WidgetLocker). Only certain widgets - Battery Widget Reborn, Power Toggles, Smooth Calendar. After a reboot, they show up as grey boxes and I would have to tap and setup the widget again. Also noticed that SwiftKey would no longer be set as default keyboard and I would have to disable/re-enable to be able to choose it again.
Messed around and it's the same behavior with the stock launcher but with that, they the widgets just disappear altogether.
I did a system erase and pretty much nothing installed, same behavior. I've played with every setting to see if that had an effect but no different.
Has anyone encountered this or have any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff
Hello all,
I'm a relatively new OnePlus One owner and yesterday after I rebooted my phone, a new page showed up as part of my home screen pages. What was the first home screen page is now the second one and this new page took it's place.
Since I have no idea what it is, I'm attaching a screen shot for reference in hopes someone might be able to tell me. It's mostly blank with the text that says:
Get some extensions!
Looks like you don't have any installed
extensions. CM Home currently supports
DashClock extensions, so go get some and check
back here!"
Would anyone know where this suddenly came from and more importantly, how can I get rid of it? If I had wanted it there, I would have added it myself. Don't much appreciate a phone that doesn't respect user settings.
Thanks!
Tim
Nobody knows?
There must be some way of getting rid of this thing. It seems to have shown up after I updated to 38R. It's also mentioning something about Dash Clock. But since I don't have any app named Dash Clock installed, I have no way of uninstalling it.
Tired of these apps or themes, etc that just think it's fine to modify a user's settings and add whatever they want to a phone. I take the time to setup my phone for a reason. If I had wanted something changed or added, I'm perfectly capable of determining which apps I wish to have and where I wish to place associated folders, icons, widgets, etc.
Would be very appreciate if anyone could give me some advice how to get rid of that page.
Thank you!
It is part of the trebuchet launcher from cyanogen. You must have gone into the settings and turned on the CM Home search panel. Just go back into the launcher settings and change the search panel option to "off" and it should go away.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have looked already, but see nothing obvious listed in my Settings where I can find anything related to CM Home search panel. I have also searched for any apps that might be labeled as trebuchet, launcher, CM, etc. Would you mind telling me where exactly I can find such a setting as you mentioned?
Thank you again.

It is not in the phone settings it is on the home screen. Long press down on any part of the home wallpaper not covered by an icon or widget and you should see a menu bar pop up at the bottom with 3 icons for setting wallpaper, widgets and something else. There should be an up arrow near the top of the menu bar which when pressed will take you to the launcher settings, that is where you can change the options.
Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix? I can hit the Nova app icon and it will set it the launcher. However, as soon as I hit the home button it reverts back to default. Additionally when in Nova Settings, I tap the header that says tap to set Nova as default launcher, for a half second it acts like it is bringing up another screen momentarily but then stays on the main settings screen. It does the same thing when I scroll down to the Select Default Home where currently Huawei Home is set. I have tried other launchers additional to Nova including: Google Now, TSF, and Smart Launcher. I am currently running the latest update of Nova Launcher Prime 4.3.1, on a GEM-703L, running Android 6.0.
Thanks for any help.
Try this:
1. go to settings > apps>advanced>default app settings
That fixed it! Thank you so much!
