If you with stock Tom you can only use with wifi!
If you have a custom rom like cm7 you can use with 3g also.
Try refill your sip account.

Hi guys. Does anyone know where to get Google voice lite? I install Google voice from the market and during setup it yells me my carrier is not supported. Any help would be great. Thanks.

There is no lite version it is a voicemail replacement app,so if it said not compatible with your provider thn you can't use it. Sorry.

It's just saying that it cant automatically set up the no answer transfer to divert calls from verizon's voicemail system to GV. You can do that manually.

Thanks so much!

Hey all, my Dad has been trying to set up his Hot mail account on the tablet for a while. He has his other accounts set up just fine, its just his Hotmail account that's giving him problems.

Thanks, I just don't know if Hotmail is a Pop3 or an Exchange server
I guess I'll try both.

It's a pop3 server, and i dont know why you are having problems. it worked just fine for me, but that might be because my google account is my hotmail account, for some reason
Had this same problem! Thanks for the fix!

So I don't have cell service yet but I'd like to get my voice messages through hangouts. Is it possible? I'm on paranoid android with Franco kennel.

Yes. Go in your Google Voice settings and under sync and notification, select messaging app under where you'd like to receive your messages.

But then I can't send messages out without cell service.

You will need to be connected to WiFi. Test it out and post your results back.
Google voice will just reroute you messages to hangouts but it will still use wifi to send the messages.

I've already tried the suggested in this thread. No bueno at all. It don't work it stays stuck on sending when I start a message to a contact.
That's the only way I know of getting GV messages in Hangouts.
I've never tried it without service. I guess hangouts itself is totally dependent on cellular networks by default. Sorry couldn't be of more help.
Sit tight. I'm sure someone else will have another idea for you.

Some chef should be able to compile it with PA. The code is available on Koush's Github
