2.1 Firmware with SenseUI leaked for Droid Eris

Head over to the Droid Eris forums to witness the magic. Speaking of magic can someone port the leaked rom to Magic 32A?. I am dying here to try fully functional 2.1.

32B Dream user and unrootable 32A Magic owner here awaiting the good news
Might this mean proper drivers and more MDPI apps across the board?
The Droid Eris is 320x480 so we don't need to rely on those HDPI apps anymore! Better Eclair roms!

ROM version 2.26.605.2
Radio 1.01.00
Hboot 1.49.0000
None of those match with Magic/Dream build numbers
Files inside zip are dated Feb 11
unpacked system.img = 167 MB
So fitting this into a Dream is more than a stretch

I'm happy and sad...
This proves that 2.1 will run on a Magic 32A, but HTC doesn't find that important enough because providers are not selling it anymore!

Not true. 2.1 hasn't been released for any HTC branded phone yet. We are getting the 2.1 Sense update next month...

true that has not been released... but this a fully functional leaked version!
it would be great (if possible) to have it ported to magic 32a

Well someone could cross post this over in G1 thread to spread the news.
This should improve the performance of a lot of the Eclair bits in our ROMs, some of which are still hdpi bits.

I hope you are right. I just feel sad because HTC didn't mention the Magic at all when it came to 2.1 Sense, and now the Eris version leaks and that phone has the same memory/CPU specs as the Magic.

[REQUEST] Someone to port Froyo Sense (2.2) from Legend Official ROM

Now that there is official Legend ROM with Froyo and SenseUI, can someone please port it to Magic 32A New Radio?
I really like the new sense stuff (themes especially), they're great!

It's a test build of Gingerbread, with Sense for DHD. With a new radio too by the looks of it.
For 99% of us it's best just leave it alone until the devs cook up something tasty.
No harm in following the progress though

Currently struggling with some issues =).
But I hope you soon be able to test a little bit.

Great work for porting over sense 3.0, keep up the awesome effort. How ram hungry is sense 3.0 compare to sense 2.1?
Hopefully one day there be alternative methods to unlock the desire S.

After a post was placed in the Dev section about Sense 3.6 I started looking into it and found that the ICS 4.0.3 build for the sensation has Sense 3.6, The Sensation (HTC Evo 3D) has an RUU with sense 3.6, can we port that over to the Speedy. I know we have other roms based off of the 3D

I think it will be a while before the shift sees that because of the m10tool issue not being able to edit the m10 files so it would prolly be really hard to resize

The sensation wont have wimax... The sensation is a tmobile device and evo 3d sprint, and they arent the same... There will be a ton of edits to make in order to get anything working. Honestly, you are wasting your time. Ics sense is huge in size, after stripping stuff out to allow it to fit on our system partition, the functionality of the rom will be near gone... Than we have the kernel issue, we dont have a 4.0 sense kernel for our phone... Dont waste your time

I pulled down the rom for the sensation and started looking at it and it would be a major undertaking, but then I came across the ics 4.0.3 rom with sense 3.6 in the evo 3d forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458173, then pulled down this rom and am looking at what it would take to port this over

I would think it would still be very difficult. The 3vo hardware is nothing like the shift hardware.

And while I've ran ICS Sense from the Sensation on my MyTouch 4G Slide....like drob said don't waste your time, I noticed nothing new in the hour I ran that beast overtop of what MikRunny already has to offer for you users, it wasnt very laggy, or slow, RAM usage stays about the same and you get less tweaks ...
