I was taking about the mytouch 3g slide and accidentally broke the ribbon connecting the volume buttons to the motherboard. I was wondering if there is any way to replace this? The volume buttons are connected to the same plastic piece that the keyboard was on, but I cannot find either just the volume buttons or the full keyboard replacement anywere... please help!?!?!?!?

I have an HTC FUZE and I dropped it in a puddle of water and now the power button is constantly activated even though I am not touching the button. The button still clicks fine but again, the power button is always active. I cannot manually put my phone to sleep, nor can I turn it off using the power button.
My question is, could I remap the power button (long and short) to another button say the PPT button?
thanks
help anyone?
I had a similar problem with my first Fuze and had to get a refurbished replacement from AT&T. In my case the sticking power button caused constant rebooting of the phone. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I was unable to do anything to unstick the button.
if the power button is just nt working, you can still put your phone to sleep with third paty softwares like psShutXp. But I don't think it is possible to remap it to a different hardware key afaik.

Carty..
I just picked up a used AT&T Fuze, it works fine, but whenever I switch it on for a couple of minutes it acts as though the volume button is being held down (or the volume icon on the screen being used).
After looking into it further it appears that the up volume button is not working (which probably explains why I could not get it to hard reset). Is there a link to taking apart the phone and cleaning the buttons? Or a link to somewhere to buy new buttons (been browsing eBay but having a hard time finding buttons amongst all the pink with hearts cases).
Thanks.
OK, so reading another thread I saw that someone who purchased this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-HTC-FUZE-LC...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item3ef8817bf6
Had to move the volume rocker button over from their old LCD Digitizer to the new one, since I am assuming that the rocker button simply pushes on a contact behind the button itself, is it safe to believe that if I ordered this part I could move my volume rocker over and have a working up volume button again?
Thanks.
One of the down sides of having such a large screen is the amount of travel your finger has to do to get to the power switch to turn the display on.
is there a hack or an app that can allow me to customize the capacitative buttons (home, menu, back, search) to turn on the phone? (not from a power off state, but from a suspend state)?
Other potential solutions could be remapping either of the volume keys, or maybe using the accelerometer to determine the orientation of the phone and then wake up the screen.
Yes, I am looking for the same thing. The power button on Inspire is not that well designed. I can't really tell if i am pressing it or now. I am afraid the button will broke since it doesn't have the press down feeling. I think everyone has the same problem on this button.
I think only midgets and girls have this problem. Are you a midget or a girl?
lol jk
try widgetlocker
you can wake up phone with volumes button !
Anyone know if there's a place where I can order a spare volume button, the part that goes under the volume rocker? There's a little black nub that sits on the end of the metal volume button. When you press down on the volume rocker, it hits the nub which presses down the button and registers the click. Somehow when taking apart my phone, that little piece fell off. Without it, I couldn't press volume up. I managed to hack a solution together by just using some card stock and scotch tape in order to press the button, but I'm sure it won't hold.
The nub and the metal button seem to be one piece so I was hoping that it would possible to find *somewhere*, but I somewhat doubt it. Seems a bit too specialized.
In any case, let it be a warning to anyone wanted to open their case to be careful with it.
EDIT: Nevermind, found it. I was being a bit too specific in my searches.

Help me guys what part should I look to replace my soft keys? I accidentally did something to the flex of the soft key while cleaning the inside of the screen.
The 4 keys are still working and still vibrating. Only problem is that only the home button lit up, the 3 others are litting up but not as bright as the home button. I'm looking for a thing called keypad flex button for htc sensation but can't find any. What is the exact part to be replaced?
Please help guys. Thanks
