I apologize for asking what might be a stupid question but I like to make sure I understand the situation before I try to answer:
We're talking about this MW600, correct?

If so, I'm not sure if it will actually connect. It seems to be designed to specifically pair with the phone with which it came. In fact, on that page I linked there is a list of compatible phones and they are all Sony Ericsson phones...
-Aspen
-Naite
-Vivaz
-Vivaz Pro
-Xperia Play
-Xperia X10
-Xperia X10 Mini
-Xperia X10 Mini Pro
-Xperia X8

Hmm. Well, what exactly do you mean by saying it was not fully functional with the Desire HD? I'd like to help you get this set up so I'm going to do my best but there is not a lot of information on how you would pair it. So lets start with the basics:
What happens when you attempt to pair it with the Nexus S?

i ment with not fully function i could answer calls and redail not mor than that .actully it has more functions with xperia x10 .but with nexus s when I searched with Bluetooth It could not detect the mw600.

Not sure if it can fully help you, but I had no problems to pair my Mw600 with my Nexus S ( Stock ROM 2.3.3 ).

hello!
I'm going to buy one, do you that the handset is FULLY and TOTALLY working? (dialing, A2DP, screen and so on...)
@kenvan19
of course only SE phones are listed!
Why should they list other phones which may reveal better than SEs?
AFAIK, even Nokia acts like this, along with Samsung, LG, Blackberry...
It's all about marketing

Everything is working perfectly, except that you can't see the title of the track currently playing on the screen of the MW600, and the phone number that is calling you...as with my previous SE X10 !
But the sound is very clear, never had a gap in one year of using.

ok, thanks anyway, guess I'll check out for something else :|

thanks all. I will wait for the OTA to update the system and see.

I have 2.3firmware .but no connection or even in the search list it could not be detected. I am awaiting for the update. thanks for the help. thanks again
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App

Just to be clear, my MW600 was also working with previous 2.3.1 and 2.3.2.
don't know why it won't work for you...

I tried to check the Bluetooth with other phones sending files and receiving it is OK nothing wrong but with the mw600 it is undetectable. anweay I am waiting for the update. if it worked that will be fine otherwise I have no choice I have to sell it and look for another. can you help me to choose one with the same spicification.?thanks again

Hello sorry for my English but I found the solution for the Nexus S and MW600.
Just reset the bluetooth headset. A very long press on the power button and it's good (you must press the power button until you have an animation on the screen)
I did that there is an animation on the screen. After I ran the bluetooth turned on the Nexus S (I put identitifiable) and he found it in 2 seconds)
Enjoy

So its like a mirror reflective from the back camera to your face? Pretty clever I say.
They haven't release it yet they call it onemoreface, I think they are still in the state of building it maybe a few more months hopefully january and when they finally release it hopefully its compatible with G2. This addon will solved my issues regarding my constant use of video call :happy:excited:

I Hope this will get released soon and for a few different models other then the Nexus One in the picture, I will buy at least two one for my Nexus the other for the HTC Desire Z , but I got a funny feeling that by the time this rolls out it might be to late, within the next six months most smart phones will all have what Nokia has been doing for years, front face cameras, then this gadget will be to late.

It would be too late if in six months everyone ditches their phone for one with an ffc. Ill have my g2 longer than that. And I don't know why it would take 6 months to release two mirrors that mount to the top of your phone. You could ?ake this for yourself right now it looks like.

Headphone control button not working.

I am having a problem with the control button on my headphones. I have verified that the headphones are still working on my nexus s. I have tried using the headphone control app to no avail. Basically it registers about one out of thirty button presses. Can anyone else replicate these results? I need to figure out if I have a bad unit, or if this is an issue with everyone's phone. Thanks in advance.

So today I was skiing and music kept pausing and as usual the button on my headphone wire was ineffective. When I pulled my phone out to restart playback voice dialer was always open. I froze voice dialer and then it would just pause. Basically I need someone with a g2x and headphones with a button to control playback to test it for me so I know if I have a defective device. If it's software I'll wait for gingerbread or cm7, if it's hardware I'll have to exchange. I'm using spotify, but it behaves the same in the stock player. Thanks.

I also would like to know if anyone knows if the 3.5mm jack is configured differently than other phones (n1). I know different manufactures use different configurations, but I have no idea what is used in the g2x. I called lg and they just said it's a 3.5mm jack. No further information was available to them. Ugh. This is making me crazy.

Here's a bizarre solution. Pick-up the HP Bluetooth Pendant. It allows you to use any wired headphones via Bluetooth. There's two components - a 3.5MM base station to plug in to devices that aren't Bluetooth capable and a clip-on receiver to plug in the wired headset. You only need the latter. It comes with a pair of wired headphones but they're crap. If you're using them for skiing or outdoor activities it's kind of a clean solution so that you're not physically connected to the phone. The volume, stop/play, and forward/reverse on the receiver work on the G2X, I checked. Here's a link to a store that still has them (they're discontinued). You might find them on eBay too.

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem I have with a bluetooth solution is the fact that it's something else I have to charge. Additionally, I had a pretty bad experience with the motorola bluetooth headphones. The reception was terrible. The phone had to be about six inches away from the headphones for it to work.

I have the same issue, I bought some dr dre beats and the remote control wasn't picking up the button presses. When I unlock the device it picks up the button presses better. I thought I had a faulty headset so I got a different pair but same thing happens. Hopefully some gingerbread love will fix this.

I totally get the having to charge another device thing. I use it with my Shure 530's and the reception's great from up to ten feet away. It's just a receiver so the quality of the headset will determine sound reproduction.
Well, other people having the problem gives me hope that it's software. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I just tried my iphone headphones that normally work on my other android phones and the remote was not registering with the g2x. It's definitely a g2x problem. This sucks.

I don't know what to do about this. I spoke with reps at Klipsch and Jbuds and they verified that the jack is different in the g2x. Here is the link they sent me.

I have a pair of Sonys that have Play/Pause, Skip and Previous.
I could Play/Pause easily but nothing else worked. I sold my Nexus One before I could try them on the G2x (those worked flawlessly on the N1 vs the Sonys).
While I don't have a big need for headphones, I would like to figure out what works or perhaps getting software to recognize the correct signals from the jack.
I think that I'll need to find a pair if headphones with a compatible pinout, or some kind of adapter. I have been looking for both with no success. Why can't they standardize these things?

Just got off the phone with lg again and they are saying that the only compatible headset is the one they sell through their accessory department. This is frustrating as hell.

Rumors has it that Flash 10.3 has something to do with it, but it's also integration with the chipset itself that has a lot to do with it as well.
I guess I was one of those that skipped the netflix generation and went straight into online streaming. I use Amazon VOD for pretty much everything. No native video app those yet, just mostly use it on my google TV. I honestly don't watch TV or movies on my phone.

+1 on that. I tend to watch Netflix on my T-MoUS Galaxy Tab (just got it working on that platform) or my iPad if I'm remote and not at home.
It's really painful watching streaming video on my phone and I don't do that unless I absolutely have to.
Im currently in the process of testing a few things to get this to work on the GS4g. I was having the strange problem that the netflix app would go back to the home screen after I login.
I am editing the build props and trying a few other things out. So far nothing, but if I get it working I will post how to do it.
I did a little bit of research and it appears that we wont be able to use the netflix application at all unless we have gingerbread on our device.
So without a ginger rom we are out of luck, that is unless we find a workaround or they update the app anytime soon.
I came to this conclusion after looking through the Vibrant forums under the themes and apps section, they also are having trouble with the Application.

Hey guys don't forget the app was only released for certain phone models so most of us will probably need to use some work arounds.
Its working great on Tytung Nexus 2.7. If its not working for you, try this...
- Replace drmprovider.apk in system/apps with this file ( http://www.htchd2forum.com/android-...odes-android-app/?action=dlattach;attach=1284 ). It is the drmprovider.apk from the LG Revolution, which has the required restrictions for Netflix. (Don't forget to back up the original first, just incase).
- Change model name in build.prop to Nexus One (model approved for Netflix service)
- Install Netflix.apk from market (Link in post 1, old Netflix apps that have been floating around didn't work for me, just this one).
Restart phone and try it out! That did it for me, hope it helps on other roms. Good luck!
Props to poster of LG Revolution drmprovide.apk to the guys at htchd2forum, OP of this thread for Netflix.apk, my idea on the build.prop model.

What is a bugger is that without GPS it won't install a lot of apps from the Google Play Store.
And I hope someone here will root it, so I can make it connect to an ad-hoc Symbian WiFi tether... who knows what the future will bring..

I do know our programmers are working on a 4.1 update sometime in January though. And yes, installing a launcher to disable tapestries and the discover bar really does make it a beautiful tablet. I personally use ADW launcher on all of my Android devices though. Looks great and it's quite fast.

Galaxy s4 s- voice apk!

Haha just one more thing to pretend we all have the galaxy s4!
S-voice for the galaxy s4 is now aviable thanks to droid life.

Hopefully this does not violate any rules?
Feel free to move or lock.

well I checked further and it seems it doesn't play well with most aosp roms so no biggie it happens ... I got the original one running on my rom but I cant set a wake up command on it either cause it force closes as well ... but still works
Works great on my touchwiz rom

Does anyone know the difference between the s-voice we have, and the GS4 version?
edit: nvm found a website listing the differences.
Works on clean rom 6.0

This should be in themes/apps
The differences between the gs3 and gs4 apps are a few added features/settings and a slightly different, in my opinion better, UI.

I wasn't 100% sure if it would work on all phones.
Therefore I did not deem it correct to post in the themes/ apps
You don't see any HTC phones or Motorola using s voice Haha so
It is what it is
This new S-voice driving mode is awesome at reading text messages aloud over the Bluetooth stereo in my car. You can reply with your voice and its crazy accurate.
Only problem ive encountered is I can't voice navigation while on driving mode. S voice force closes. Anyone else get this?

Sooo slooowwww. I am surprised they even built one for the S4 with the new google voice search. I like S voice but it was so boggy it was useless.
Could there be an Svoice lib that should go with the apk. I know that missing lib/s are common cause of app FC

I should also mention that S voice will successfully start Google maps navigation when not in driving mode.
