Samsung galaxy s media player app

Is it possible or legal for someone to rip the media player from the galaxy s, I hear its the best one on any phone at the minute especially as it plays every format that's used nowadays and stock Android is in last place for video playback out of the box.

I'm not possible but if you look in the roms section for the samsung vibrant or just galaxy s I believe there are rips of the .apk files that are initially on the device
their links to fileshares like 4shared and what not but I think that they have what you want

It doesn't work yet.
sent from my hd2 aww yeah
Yeah there's an issue with the whole touch wiz interface
When the media player is installed it looks for elements that are part of touch wiz 3

What's your favorite media app.

I'm just wonder what's everyone's favorite media player app?

Winamp is pretty amazing. Best interface iv used so far.

I have tried google music , power amp and many others. Personally I love the stock htc one.
I don't like signatures....
Google Music has worked well for me.

Google Music, followed closely by winamp.
The only thing I like about the stock HTC player is that you can operate it at lock screen and notification bar. Other than that it doesn't have anything else.

For music I am using Music 3.0, which has a background that changes colors randomly. Considering the market recognizes it as Google Music, I assume it is, even though it looks nothing like the one in the market. For video, I use MoboPlayer.

I use PowerAMP and love it, very good, customizable, great EQ with presets and the ability to make your own presets, and native FLAC support. I haven't used GoogleMusic though, I got an invite but it turns out Linux isn't supported yet and it's just too big of a pain to move my music from my laptop, I have over 100 gigs.

Have you tried installing through wine? ?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
Yeah but I couldn't get it to work well. Wine and I have never been good friends lol. It's very few and far between that I even think about using it. I could probably get it to run ok if I spent long enough toying with settings but with PowerAMP and a 32gig SD card I'm happy enough with how much music I have. If i ever really want something of my computer I have a VNC server set up on it that I can retrieve files over.

Honeycomb music player tablet version on phone?

I'm just wondering if there's an apk available for the tablet version of the new Google music player in the market that's usable on smartphones. The reason I'm asking this is because the tablet version has way more eye candy than the phone version
Thanks for your help
The tablet version has more eye candy because there is room on the screen to do so. Our phones are too small.

Best music player

Hey guys, I hope everyone will agree that stock desire s sense 2.1 music player was far far better than that of sense 3 & 3.5 ROMs that are available here in aspect if transitions n visualizations.. is there any way I can get that back in my present ROM? I'm using proxuser's Runnymede v1.3a
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
not sure about that, but poweramp is a great music player! worth the money if u ask me
Actually I wanted a music player having 3d effect like that one I mentioned as well as Beats music support
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
poweramp is the best music player
For me, best player is incluyed in MIUI Rom... but sense users cant put it in our Roms.. Poweramp is the best.
But right now I'm using proxuser's latest sense 3.5 ROM n Beats included here. But no 3d effect... That's why I was telling that

I think PlayerPro is the best music player tbh
Tried WinAmp, Songbird, and the stock 2.1 & 3.0 players and IMO PlayerPro is the best, hands down
PowerAmp. Used it since beta, nothing can get near it.

I use cloudskipper for 6 months already. It suit me well. It's free without advertisement.

But none of them supports Beats I guess

No way!!!
Sense 3.0 > Sense 2.1 music player!
This is one of the main reasons I have stuck with 3.0!
It's faster, easier to use, and doesn't have that annoying feature where the tilt sensor is active when your phone is locked

PlayerPro
I think playerpro is best.
I like PowerAmp. It's what am using atm.
I can't really say it's the best. We all have different preferences. I say try it out what is mentioned here. There are trials available.

I agree that PowerAMP is the best choice! But in my case I can not buy it due to region limitation, because my region Georgia is not supported yet in paid apps yet... that sucks a lot!!!
I agree with the miui player, it's nearby to amarok on my desktop^^
If you want to have sense 2.1 player you should switch to lbc mod, there you can choose with patches what sense 3.0 features you want to use.

2.1 music player was good at visualization, but i am quite happy with 3.0 msic player
Well! I think it is not possible to revert back or install the old music player..
Thank u guys for yr comments but I really liked 2.1's visualization n sound quality was also good...

PowerAMP, absolutely
+1 for Cloudskipper, tried it now, thanks for your hint

Best Equalizer w/ Music Player out there

Cut that Beats crap, thats no where close to a real Eq. You want to hear what real music was supposed to be like?
You want a powerful music player that has equalizers for nearly every aspect of your song?
You want to get the recently released jetAudio app. This music player is the most feature packed one I've seen and tried yet.
It is a player that is for Windows and it was recently ported to Android.
I blast Dubstep though my headphones daily so I needed a nice Eq for that. This is the best sounding player I've seen in a while.
It supports nearly every format availible, has insane amounts of equalizers, can change the speed of song, different effects (crossfade, cut, etc), can post to twitter/facebook for what you are playing if you want, has some fancy animations and more.
If you are looking for a music player then use this one.
Play Store Link (free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jetappfactory.jetaudio
It is currently recently released so it may have bugs. From what I've seen its working 100% though.
Also, if you want an ICS themed music player, check out the Apollo app from CM9 (google around to find the apk). It is awesome as well and is themeable (it only has a dark and light theme as of now though).
Thanks, great find! Looks nicer than PowerAMP.
Great!
Looks great, I'll definitely give this a try. I just wish they decided to use the Holo theme rather than going for a shiny-iPhone skin... but I'm OCD!
Any idea if the headphone controls actually work with our phone? I haven't had any success with even playing/pausing using any other headset :/
Anyone have any feedback as far as comparing this to poweramp+beats?
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
Going to try it since you mentioned dubstep... I would of said dnb but dubstep works too

Also going to try this one since there's been mention of both dubstep and dnb on this thread...

Wow, amaaaazing, how awesome that JetAudio Basic player is... (And for FREE! Not just 15-day-trial like PowerAMP free version... )
Get JetAudio Basic and rate it!
Anyone got an idea how to get a JetAudio Basic-widget on the homescreen? Like a mini-player with play/pause? :/
Loving the eqs on this, just wish it could work with my play music since I don't keep much music on the phone since no expandable SD card :/

Does it have themes ? I like the free theme holo ICS theme makes poweramp look nicer

The only headphones controls I've gotten to work are the Samsung gs3 earbuds. And I mean the only ones

How can you listen to music on 8 gigs? You have to change the songs almost daily

Without BBE+ this player is not that great, however BBE Sound Inc. will soon come out with there own player app for Android soon, some time this year.
