[Replacement Dialer]

Hey all,
I have been hunting for a dialer to replace HTC's attempt. Although there are some great attempts here in the forums they didnt give me what i wanted, which was a full size calling image of the caller (480x800) and a much cleaner dialer in general.
I did how ever stumble across Iconsoft dialer for WM 5 and 6 which does give these and alot more. The short cuts are also very attractive but I am trying to figure out how to alter the rigistry to use the Iconsoft app for contacts as default, so if anyone knows please let me know.
The app isnt free but is worth every penny in my eye as makes my phone just that bit different. this can be downladed as a 15day trail also. There are some other themes for the dialer on the site.
I have been using for a few days now and havent had any trouble with it or speed problems its is pretty solid. Hope this helps some people out with finding a new dialer.
Please feel free to post any other dailers you come across, but keep it to dialers only!

Ah you see.... you tried the older version! this is the NEW one!
And lots of people like the iphone look anyway, silly to not have something you like just because it "looks like an iphone" screen

Transparent XDA app pretty cool

Hey guys I just stumbled across this earlier today. These two guys created a transparent version of the XDA app. Not sure if any one else is interested but I thought I'd throw it out there. I installed and it's working great. I backed up my original with Titanium, and then uninstalled the old one before installing this one. Here's the link to the OP. Edit: Ok got it to work by copying the link by quoting your post but the link doesn't work directly.
Anyway, it does look cool but I could see it being extremely difficult to read depending on what you have as your background.

Link should be working now. And mine was impossible to read until I switched it to the dark theme. My background is mostly dark blue, but you're right about it being difficult to read depending

[Theme] Infinite Cha0s X for Liberty 2.0.1

Alrighty then, here we go. Infinite Cha0s X now up and running. I have decided to do the Market as an add-on due to various compatibility issues some testers have had. I managed to flash in succession: Market versions 2.2.7, 2.2.11, and 2.3.6 without need to freeze the MarketUpdater, or wiping ANYTHING. Not a single force close. However, even trying to flash a themed version of the same one included in the rom (2.2.11) failed for some of my other testers, sometimes not even showing up in the app drawer at all. 3D style buttons, both rectangle and round. (Round ones actually "depress").

Haha! Thanks for the kind words, and I was thinking the SAME thing, and was almost thinking of posting it before I noticed you wrote. I know the Motorola stuff isn't as big over here, but was hoping for SOMEONE to notice this. LoL Guys, if you are running Liberty, and you like blue at all, you'll really love the amount of depth and detail that my theme has... Don't be scared. Peace.

Good:
Deeply themed!
Good colors!
Nothing really missing
Bad:
Images aren't very sharp
It doesn't look super professional and looks like this theme: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002986 except yours looks better.
But I think if you could sharpen up the images a little bit to make it look a lot more pro and maybe more minimalist this could be a great theme!

Hey man, thanks for props and constructive criticism. Unfortunately I know of no way to make images sharper, as most of the images are found online, and I don't know any repository of hi-res icons to pick and choose from. Also, my theme came out well before Bruised Steel, just not for the Dx, as I had a Droid 1 previously, but I'm glad you like mine better. I dunno anything about being super professional, as I have no schooling or training in image manipulation, so I had to go with being as thorough as possible. I'm just someone with too much free time on their hands. LoL Anyway, have a good one.

Yea very creative,but I here wat he saying.themes just doesn't look shape around the edges.maybe some one on here can give you sum advice.

Beyond the Messaging icon and the little + symbol in the dialer picture, I'm not sure what you mean about the images not being sharp? I don't see anything else that isn't at least standard quality icons. Please elaborate.

Maybe they are judging the low res sscreen shots without actually installing the theme....i installed it just to try it and it liked beautiful...but the version I used was one I ported with Wugs...so the 3g icon didnt port directly over to GB that I'm using..... But loved it and planning on doing a re port once Wug updates his porter

Just checked yours out and, you're right, its easy to have "sharp" and "professional" images when you just recolor existing images. Man this forum is full of douche bags!!

thanks for not even having the common courtesy to bash my Bruised Steel theme on its on thread. you should remember that most themers do this for themselves and don't have to share with you. if you don't like it.... Don't use it. you Sir are the real douchebag.
To creator of infinite chaos... Ran your theme for a couple days. didn't notice any quality issues with images. looks great keep up the good work.

At first glance it would appear he was talking about will. But after looking at each persons themes. I think he is referring to the pink theme by 'lj'. Big whoop if its hue changes, (his other 2 look pretty clean) and if he know that is so much of a PITA, why did he start bashing him for just stating his opinion.

I have threads, just haven't posted them here, thank you very much! I have never, and will never "bash" another's theme. But, if you're gonna talk **** about someone else's themed images not being "sharp" enough when all you do is change the hue on yours, you SHOULD be called out, IMO! I am "up and coming" and have only been theming for a couple of months now but, I'm just on the other forums most of the time. XDA isn't the ONLY forum, yeah?

thanks for the compliment. I misinterpreted your post obviously. so lets just all get along. if you do theme work you can understand why I would get pissed at what I thought you meant. Look forward to seeing some of your work as well. Sorry for all there confusion.

Oh wow, I know they exist because I used one for a while. I've got the apk on my SD for a blue-with-lightning-bolts theme, and there are others. Let me see if I can find the thread. My phone's not nearby at the moment or I would attach the apk.

edit: keep in mind, nobody that I'm aware of, has been able to figure out how to change the color of the swype trail that follows your finger. Editing the .so file doesn't work anymore with the new versions...I've been digging through thousands of lines of smali code looking for it, but no luck yet.
