The latest update in Market for Gmail now has the ability to Copy/Cut/Paste through long press... one catch, GingerBread only.
Maybe the DEVs can fix that like always.
I will upload the apk...

The update had other fixes as well but the Copy and Paste only works on GingerBread.

They don't show up in the Market of the rooted stock 2.1 ROM for some reason. They are the only 2 apps I've had problems with.
Edit: Here is Handcent 3.0.
Here is Quick Settings.
Handcent link dead
When I search for handcent I find the font packs but not the actual app, very odd indeed since I think I previously was able to download it.
Edit: Here's a link that shows that the makers of the app are having a problem also.

Thanks, that worked.
old .apk
Hope this is in the right place. I got a new phone and the updated handcent on the market now only auto converts to mms after message exceeds THREE message lengths. I thought i remembered it converting after it exceeded only one message length. Am I wrong? And if I am remembering correctly, does anyone have an .apk of one of the versions before the change?... preferrably the last one. Thanks.

So what are the quick settings for?
Qick Settings, as far as I see, give a shortcut to things like notification settings for handcent, but I see no area for changing auto-convert settings
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA App
Quick Settings is just an app for changing things like system volume, wifi, GPS, etc.
All credit goes to rolle3k from the Nexus One Forums, all I'm doing is reposting it here for the Evo users
Original thread
Features
-It does not include the Samsung widgets
-It does work on Froyo and Eclair... I'm running it on the DamageControl Rom
-1 to 7 homescreens
-Application Dock
-App drawer is iphone like style
I would recommend you download the app "Home Switcher" from the market, if you didn't already... Makes it very easy to switch between home replacement apps, and set as default.
Download
TO ADD APPS TO THE DOCK, open up the all the applications by pressing the applications tab, then press menu, then press edit, and drag your apps to the dock as you wish.
Heres some pictures
nice contribution. thanks

You are using the built-in application installer most likely, try something like Apkatcher and try installing it again.
Can't get it apkatcher just shows black screen with cancel button

working perfect and uses less memory than stock htc launcher
Im running the current ota update stock and loaded this launcher perfectly ( allow install of third party apps under settings, used apollo file manager). All you need is the samsung widgets plus the 4g toggle ( look in other posts) and you have the epic without a keyboard. Thank you for the option. Love android. PS apple i have reception no matter how i hold my big a$$ phone.
Can someone send me the file...won't let me download

It did that for me as well, I had to download with a computer, then transfer the files to the phone. For some reason when I downloaded directly with the EVO, the file kept getting cut off at 13kb. The file is like 1.5mb
Can someone who's downloaded this and installed it successfully please upload the. apk to RapidShare or something? The problem is that download link lists the file at 1.4mb but when you actually download it the file only ends up being 13kb or something. I believe there is something wrong with that particular download link/site. Thanks
EDIT: posted this before I saw the post above. Sorry and thanks

First, thank you for this, I love it! Second, is it possible to remove the dots at the top? My taskbar already looks busy enough...
<3
Edit: Only on the main screen, the dots on the apps page is useful.
Not without rewriting the apk...you can do it...don't think its worth the time

Use root explorer/sufbs or whatever it is you use to look at SD Card. Go to system/app and delete voicesearch.apk, also uninstall google search, reboot phone, go to market and redownload voice search and google search, violah!

They showed up for me. I'm running the CyanogenMOD RC-1 (FroYo 2.2)
I upgraded to 2.3.3, and now when I use Swype the first thing that pops up is that copy and paste marker right on the w. I can't begin texts with words starting with w unless I hit delete and remove the copy/paste marker. Is there anyway to take the marker off from the get go. I checked the swype settings and found nothing.
Thought I might be the only one. It's pretty annoying...
It's frustrating because its only on swype when you send out text messages. Anytime I use swype for browsing or emails the marker doesn't show up until I want it to.
I have that problem too. I also have a problem using swype when trying to type in a url address in the opera mobile browser. It constantly autofills. I backspace to type what I want and it autofills again. It's really freaking annoying. Doesn't do it with stock keyboard.
Ok, a new version of swype is coming to all handsets:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...all-handsets-this-week-minus-sprint-branding/
But will it be available for those who already have it pre-installed?
Hopefully they fixed the copy/paste marker.
I'm on beta and todays new release fixed it

Nice.. That's good to hear. I'll wait for the final release, but I'm still wondering whether I'll get an update. My swype is pre-installed, and I hope the final update includes my version.

Hi everyone, have you seen this notification app Reqallable?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.reqall.wearable.android&hl=en_GB
http://www.reqallable.com/
It looks bloody good and it's free.
The only problem is, is that it's US only and I'm in England
I've emailed the devs and they say they're not planning a UK release.
I was wondering if someone would install and post the apk please?
Cheers

Thank you - that's a huge help
After all that I really don't think it's as good as Watchnotifier by Clemens Elflein.
This quest for a good notification app is making me look forward to the Google watch - they'll get it right

So far those looks cool. Does the email work with POP3 accounts? If so, is the setup done where it says IMAP?

Is it possible to dismiss notifications on phone from the watch with watchnotifier?
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Yes. Watchnotifier is much more configurable too.
It's much better than reqallable. If you set a reminder in Google now the reminder comes up in your watch which is good. You can configure watchnotifier to push notifications from any app to your watch.
I wouldn't be without it.
