(Q) is there a way to stream video or video out? - HTC Inspire 4G

For example using PlayOn. Is it possible to stream YouTube or netflix to another device? I know this phone doesn't have HDMI out, but is there a way to output video or a hack possibly? I know you can wireless stream your gallery... so there should be a way to stream YouTube netflix hulu ect.

No there are no ways of streaming media due to no hdmi port. I thought the same thing but I did my research on it and there is no way that you can do that. Unless its wireless.

[Q] dLNA MKV Streaming/xferring files over WiFi

Hi all, so here is my situation:
I have a new Xyboard 8.2, and with the MX Video Player I can play 720p MKVs perfectly fine, as long as they are stored on the tablet itself. However, if I want to play the 720p MKV by streaming it off of my computer, therein lies a few problems. I am using TVMobili as the dLNA server on my computer, and I've not had any problems with it for other dLNA devices, such as a WDTV Live. However no matter which dLNA browser I try to browse/use to play, I can see my files, but when I try to play I either get a cannot play message or audio but no video. Does any one have any suggestions such that I can stream via dLNA (or some other means) and play these 720p MKVs with audio and video?
Plex media server with the plex app for android works like a charm on my Xoom.

Thanks for the tip, will check it out. I actually ended up ditching the dLNA route and going with the MotoCAST server/app that motorola was touting for this device, and it works quite well actually. I am not sure (actually, I think it does) if it employs dLNA technologies, but it is quite seamless. May try the PLEX route to see if the video/audio quality is any better.
For plex there is actually an option to change the streaming quality.

Plex works well, but bsplayer with native lan support baked into it works better locally.

For a tablet side fix rather than server, try using ES File Explorer to browse to the SMB fileshare on your PC rather than DLNA. You'll then be able to stream straight from the PC.

[Q] Is android able to put out 7.1 audio through hdmi?

This is kinda of a crazy question. I was wondering if it were possible to play a video (with a player that can play .mkv) through hdmi and a receiver recognize it as dts. For example if i had a .mkv video file with dts-hd audio would i be able to watch it over hdmi with 7.1? Is it possible?
Good question... Wouldn't mine knowing the answer either. Even if not.. most AV Receivers will at less simulate 5.1 or 7.1 etc
This site has some 7.1 videos http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/high-definition-trailers.php
Can somebody with a hdmi mirror hack and a hefty processor try and see if it works on a 7.1 receiver?
qqplayer and mobo player claim to play .mkv.
I have a 5.1 setup

[Q] Video Streaming in TV from device Apps

Is there any way or app which i could use to stream videos from my device to TV without any cable? I know there are UPNP/DLNA apps which can do that but problem is using that.. TV uses its own video player to play the files and we dont get much of functionality. I'm looking any app which could use MX Player/VLC or any other Android player to control the video in TV. Any help?

Playing Google play movies on tv

So I've got an old (4years) Samsung TV. I can stream YouTube videos to it without issues. However I can not stream purchased content, either via the play app or YouTube app.
Is there a way to hard wire the xz to a hdmi port on the TV?

I know that you can use wireless projection and basically cast the phone to the TV at least that way you can use things like Huawei music/spotify, in addition play your apps? whether that would be a fix?
