Hi all, this is a new app I have put on the Android Market currently at version 1.1. It is a simple and lightweight app that allows you to securely store your passwords within your phone. It allows you to launch the website from the App and then copy and paste the username stored in the app to the relevant fields on the website.
This is the first release of the App but there are many more features to come in the near future.
Please download and let me know your thoughts about the App. Search for Boardies Password Manager in the Android Market.
There are two versions available. A free version and a donate version. The free version is ad supported and the donate version called Boardies Password Manager Paid is identical to the free version but doesn't display Ads.

Like many of others in this forum, I like to try the latest software. One issue I encountered recently is that Android Market is a closed software only available on Google-branded phones.
One idea I got is to create a portal for free android apps. The goal of the portal is to let app developers to make their Android apps available to users who don't have access to Android Market, such as developer phone users, third-party devices that don't have Google experience, and in certain countries that do not have access to Android market.
The portal should be simple enough to start, let app developers publish apps, tag them, or post a link to the apk file. Users can use Android browser to download the apk and install it as apps from unknown sources.
http://www.slideme.org is that exact thing
very nice idea, but done already, A for effort though!
Hi All,
While working on a Software project where I bumped into this typical software development problem;
I wanted to test my app in the field using beta testers, but didn't want to use the Android Market yet because the app isn't "Market-Ready" yet. (Or you couldnt use the Market because its an enterprise app.) I figured it would be nice to have a separate app which updates your (beta) apps. This way you only have to tell your users to run this Remote Software Deployment app, and your beta applications get updated.
I have made a simple "Remote Software Deployment" tool, which enables developers to update their app using a webserver.
The app loads URLs from its resources, downloads the APKs and installs them.
I figured that more developers like me are searching for the exact same thing and decided to share and ask you to participate. I would love having some fellow developers develop this app with me. This way we can add more functionality's and use it in our own projects.
Still todo (rev #2):
- Better feedback to the user about the current download state
- Automatic exit after all apps are updated
Todo future features:
- login / secure connection to the server
- Add a local database, so versions can be checked to the ones on the server
- Options screen where the app can be configured (with password that can be changed via resources > Strings > adminpassword)
- Enable the app to be launched at boot / run as a constant service ; polling every x minutes/hours/days etc.
Official homepage on Google Code:
- Cannot post links yet, search google code for remote-software-deployment-for-android
Link to the Source Code (SVN):
- Cannot post links yet, search google code for remote-software-deployment-for-android
So, who wants to help?
Cheers,
~NLS
Looks Good!

Would like to see a Alpha version
*** FOR ROOTED DEVICES ONLY! ***
Have you ever wondered why an app or game you hear people raving about doesn't show up in the market for you? Chances are the developer has chosen to not add your device to the list of supported devices.
Perhaps there is an app that is offering some sort of special offer to a particular device or brand of devices, and you are one of the unfortunate ones who does not have said brand or device.
Well, if either of these scenarios has happened to you, then there is something you can do about it without shelling out more money on another device. Device Spoofer allows you to spoof your device to make it appear to be a completely different device. It's as easy as:
1. Backup your current device info.
2. Select a device to spoof.
3. Press "Spoof Selected Device".
Device Spoofer contains an ever growing database of devices and with the help of other users that database can stay up to date and contain all the information needed to spoof just about any other Android device.
** NOTICE **
Developers may have a good reason for not supporting your actual device. Please do not contact them if you have an issue with their app or game. Chances are good that if it doesn't work right on your device, the developer was aware of this problem and chose to not support it. With that in mind please enjoy!
** ISSUES **
If you have any problems or issues using this app, please feel free to use the "Send Email" link provided in the Android Market.
This app is mainly for ease and convenience of changing a few lines in your build.prop. The major advantage is that there is a database with all the information for various devices. This DB is constantly being updated by myself and those that use the app and choose to allow their device to be added to the database. You are free to edit the build.prop yourself and achieve the same results. I hope you will find this useful for those times you may want to spoof your device as some other device.
I've used it on my Nexus One to spoof a Nexus S which allowed me to see many of the Gameloft games that would not otherwise show up in the market. I also used it to spoof an LG phone to get 50GB of storage on box!
Not cool man, it's paid app. Not allowed here i f you can't provide a free version as well, check the rules.
As stated above. We have a paid apps section which requires a free version to be posted on XDA. This is not a place to advertise your app.

Hello, everyone. I just finished a small and simple app which called app data tracker. It can help developers to track every single app data they
published on 3 major app stores(Google Play, Itune AppStroe, Amazon AppStore) by providing a unified, clean and simple platform to display
analytic data and show them as line chart graphs. This might help developers to monitor their app development progress and make correct
decision for successful business model. This also could be used as a temporary solution before app annie offical android app comes out.
Installation Requirement:
Android version 3.2 or above
Installation & Usage Instruction
1. You can find this app on Google Play by searching with keyword appdatatracker (I will add the apk file in the bottom of this post too).
2. Log in by using your app annie user name and password, you can use regist button to go to app annie web site to complete the
registration if you do not have one yet.
3. If this is your first time of using app annie service, you probably need to make connections of your development account such like
(Google play development account, Itune development account, Amazon development account) to your new created app annie account.
This step need to be done in app annie account management interface.
4. Linking Google play development account could be a little bit tricky because it requires two step verification to grant third party access to its
financial data. You can try the work around method app annie provided by following this link ttp://support.appannie.com/entries/22927167-My-Google-account-is-setup-with-the-2-step-verification-option-Is-it-supported-by-App-Annie-What-is- (please add h back to the ttp for a completed link address)
5. Once completing those connections between development accounts and app annie account, come back to this app and give a try to test
its features.
Credits and Thanks
1. jjoe64 -- for providing a easy used and flexible graph library.
2. App Annie -- for its public intelligence analytic api.
3. StackOverflow community -- for great reference and helped me a lot while I encounter programmatic
problems. Thanks a lot!
4. Simbiosys -- for helping me to publish this app on Google Play.
5. All you guys whom spend time to read my post and might download my app and give it a try. Thanks!
Attached Screenshots and File
Note:
1. App Gained Revenue Section hasn't been fully tested because I do not have paid app and paid app included connected account to test, so
there is possibility that it is buggy and might not function as expected.
2. I don't have Itune and Amazon development account so apps on those store, so I am not sure those data are getting displayed correctly or
not.

Privacy Browser has been out for a while, and I receive a fair amount of feedback via email from the user base, but I thought it would be useful to hear XDA thinks.
Nice work on this so far. I have been keeping an eye on it for a bit after finding it on F-Droid. Out of curiosity, what are the differences between the free and pay versions?
Difference Between Versions
The only difference between the versions is that the Free version has a banner ad across the bottom of the screen. The purpose of the free version is so that people can try out all the features of the app without having to spend any money. They can then choose to purchase the paid version if they are using a repository that accepts payments or download the standard version without cost from F-Droid or stoutner.com.

Cool, thanks! If I'm understanding you properly, does that mean the F-Droid version is the same as the paid version listed here?

That is correct.
Great! Where would you like feature requests and bug reports to go? Is this thread good, or would you prefer them on your website?

I think the best place would be to create a report on redmine.stoutner.com, but you are welcome to post them here if that is easier for you and I will transfer them to Redmine.
