[APP] Flip4Silence - Mute incoming calls via a flip/shake | [HELP NEEDED]

Flip4Silence enabled you to flip or shake an incoming call silent! It can also reduce the ringtone volume if you pick up your phone!
Unlike all the other ones I know Flip4Silence do not stress your battery. It's only active when you need it. This got some drawbacks... but hey, it works quiet well!
About "mute via flip/shake":
A friend of mine changed his good old WM6.5 phone into a Android powered device and was annoyed that you can't flip a call silent with a AOSP - now here it is, without the battery stress
About "reduce on pickup":
Someone with an HD2 told me that his phone got this "reduces volume on pick up" feature and I searched the market to find an app for android... Didn't find anything, wrote it myself! Hope you like it too!
Supported android versions: 1.6 and above
Link to Market: Link
Version 1.6.1
- The collection phase is over, thanks everyone for sharing!
Version 1.6.0
- Added "Improve F4S". It would be great if you could help me!
- UI rework
- Maybe fixed "volume not restored" problem
- The fakevibrator used by the "pickup" feature is now stopped when F4S snaps in
Version 1.5.1
- Gingerbread is now supported!
- Fixed 2 rare force closes
Version 1.5.0
- Fixed that "Vibrate only in silent mode" is not a valid mode to enable the pick up volume reducer
- Fixed a bug where the ringer volume is set to early to its normal value
- Fixed the pick up volume reducer behavior
- Fixed shortcut to the audio settings on 1.6
- Added sensitivity settings for the pick up volume reducer
- Added vibration as an option if the pick up volume reducer can't operate
- Minor UI rework
Features:
* flip or shake your phone to mute it (3 modes)
* Pick your phone up from the table and it reduces its volume!
* notifications after hang up (vibration/sound)
* extra battery friendly
Suppoerted modes:
* Mute a call when your phone is laying on its display
* Mute a call when you flip your phone from one side to the oder
* Or mute via a shake
Any feedback/wish/bugreport is welcome!
Will give a try. I've been using Shake2Mute, which is quite similar.

Version 1.4 is on the market!
Thanks. I wanted this after i saw it on htc.

This wont work on my device: HTC MAGIC, I am confident it has an accelerometer and magnetic sensor because other apps use these features do you have any suggestions?

Hm, it seems that something is wrong with the sensorcheck. You are sadly not the only with this issue but the only one who got in contact with me (thanks for this, looking at the comments and see "does not work" is not very nice :/).
I got some questions to investigate this problem:
1) Am I right that the magic is currently on froyo? You got which version?
2) Am I right that a dialog is shown which says "Sorry, no accelerometer and/or magnetic field sensor found"?
3) As you sad other apps are working, which for example (something that uses the phone orientation)?
Currently I have no idea why the code is working on my device (N1) and the milestones I got for testing here...
For the technical people who might have an idea: I'm currently using SensorManager.getDefaultSensor() with the SENSOR_ACCELEROMETER and SENSOR_MAGNETIC_FIELD constants, any idea why this might not work?
Tested on i7500 with 2.2.1 GAOSP.
It lowers the volume when I take it in my hand.
It doesn't mute when flipped.
It does mute when shaked.
Excelent work ! Thanks !
I attached Version 1.4.1 which hopefully fix the issue many people reported. It would be nice if anyone with the message "Sorry your device is unsupported" can try this one and report back how it performs.

Thankyou Luminger I appreciate the response and the quick fix and this is now working astoundingly on my magic saved my ass in physics class the other day
Thanks,Luminger, Works great on Moto Qunech XT3...thanks alot...
I've tested it on my LG Optimus One P500.
It works great but there is a little bug.
I have only enabled the option to reduce volume when picking it up. After 1-2 calls, the volume remains lowered. It doesn't come back to normal, I have to raise the ringtone level manual from the hardkeys. Hope you understood.
It is an excelent app ! Thank you !
so it's like one of the feature from HTC Sense, right?
gotta try it when I use clean build with no sense..
Yea, sounds like a bug as F4S should move the volume back to the previous level. I will take a look this evening, thank you for the report!
I really hope that you can fix it.
Thank you !

Just wanted to inform you and everyone interested that I'm currently reworking F4S to work around those bugs. Currently I have no clue where this behaviour came from but I think it will be fixed with the rework.

It is suposed to be like the HTC Sense yea, don't know if its working in exact the same way (as I never have seen the Sense config dialog ).

1.4.4 is out now which should fix your issue. I managed to reproduce the error by accident and reworked the code at this place - seems to be fixed with 1.4.4.

1.4.4 appears to keep the "Reduce volume" option always grayed out. That's really the only feature I want from the app, and before this version I had enable flip4silence unchecked and only reduce volume checked.

Hm, doesn't sound good...
Are you sure the ringer vibration is off? Off should be the only option F4S accepts.
Did you managed it to get it working when you change the F4S settings ore the vibration settings?
Which device on which version, ROM?
Sorry that I broke it for you, but it's working perfectly on my Nexus One here :-/
Oh, never mind! Somehow my ringer vibration became enabled again before I updated the app. Great app

[ROM][Main version]Photon Android release thread

Hi guys,
I create a thread so it is easier to follow-up releases of the main Android for photon releases.

Bug fix:
-FIX for USB detection (HTCSync etc) [by r0bin]
-charger fix (AC and USB) [by r0bin]
-battery gauge improved [by r0bin, pwel, munjeni, thanks photon community]
-GPS fixed [by schlund]
-fix camera sensor issue [by schlund]
-**NEW** fix for power button [by schlund]
-added media sources (ringtones,..etc)
-alarm clock can now be set
reserved for future use
Sorry, please delete this my post... i'm not able to do.
Hi -r0bin-,
first of all thanks to you and thanks to all the others developers.
You're doing a great job.
A small suggestion:
Why don't you insert in the release note the functionalities that are "temporarily" broken or that doesn't work anymore?
For example if in this release the wi-fi is not working, I think that could be useful read it in the release note, so every guy that want to install the new release knows the fixs and the problems and perhaps (only a hope...) we don't see anymore stupid thread with stupid questions.

Great work r0bin, schlund! Thanks a lot.
one minor remark: the power button fix does not seem to work for me. is this the correct thread to make such remarks?
3g not working
But, if i may know, what was problem with GPS and clock? I need it for cm6 and cm7 port. Thank you for all great work!
guys!
there is no download at the moment. my mistake was to create this thread before release was uploaded
ignore the previous one!
i am uploading the new one! wifi working, charge working, 3G working, etc.
thank you

the issue list shows the system time runs faster if so then setting alarm won't be of any use or had the time been fixed in this release.
rObin when you will lay out the corrected version?
sorry i have issues wit google download page.... after upload it is not moving anymore.

i had this one too.
=> update to latest release (r127) that was posted one hour ago.
if it's already the case, then sorry but you have to delete your user data (system.ext2, swap, data.ext2) and boot again.
make a backup of your files (SMS, contacts, applications) before!

Hello,
HTC Sync works, but wi-fi doesn't works anymore.
I have done an update (overwrite all except data.ext2) and I don't know if it could be the problem.

yes, that's the problem. wifi module is inside data.ext2, it needs to be updated.

And i moved all files from "andboot" folder to sdcard root.

[Android 2.3.1+][22.10.2016] Remote Release v1.32 [USB HOST REQUIRED]

Remote Release allows you to "remote release" your Canon EOS DSLR from your Android device with only a USB cable.
Remote releasing is using a remote control to activate the shutter of the camera. This is to prevent shaking the camera, and is often used with bulb shots and/or tripods.
This app is the little (free) brother of DSLR Controller @ XDA.
Features
- Activate the camera's shutter button from your phone over USB, just like using a remote release cable
- Enable/Disable Auto-Focus *
- Support for bulb shots (hold shutter button) *
- Support for continuous shooting (hold shutter button) *
* Depends on camera model. Requires a DryOS based camera. See DSLR Controller's device compatibility page.
Requirements
- An Android device with an ARMv7-A or newer CPU architecture (virtually all 1ghz+ devices)
- Supported Canon EOS DSLR
When connecting over USB:
- Not rooted: Android 3.1 or higher with USB host kernel+API support **
- Rooted: Android 2.3.1 or higher with USB host kernel support **
- The correct USB adapter, if applicable
** USB host kernel support can usually be determined by connecting a USB stick to your device, and seeing if the device can read files from it. (hint) USB sticks are often mounted at /sdcard/usbStorage/sda/.
Devices
Please see DSLR Controller's supported devices page for device compatibility information. Please let us know if it works on an unlisted device !
Usage
Getting started
- Install the application.
- Connect your camera to the phone/tablet, and turn it on. Half-press the shutter button if it was already on.
- If a popup comes up that offers to open Remote Release, press it, and move on to Operation below.
- If a popup does not come up, manually start Remote Release. A Superuser popup should appear, click allow. If this took more than a few seconds, Remote Release will complain it cannot find a camera, regardless if you have one connected or not. Exit the app, half-press the shutter button on the camera, then restart the app.
- If a popup appears that tells you your device is not compatible, this is the end of the line for you.
Operation
After you have connected your camera and started the app, the app will show you the following:
- Camera model
- Current shutter setting (depending on camera mode)
- Current aperture setting (depending on camera mode)
- Current ISO setting (depending on camera mode)
- Current drive mode setting
Below that you will see three buttons:
- Auto-Focus button
- Shutter button
- Button to open DSLR Controller in the Market
If your lens is set to Auto-Focus and you are using a DryOS based camera, you can use the Auto-Focus button to select if focusing is triggered by pressing the shutter button. By default it is, but it is not always desired. If your lens is set to Manual-Focus, this setting has no effect.
Pressing the shutter button will take a picture on your camera. If the camera is set to bulb mode or to continuous shooting, press-and-hold the shutter button - the bulb/continuous capture will stop once you remove your finger from the screen.
Download
The download is attached. Alternatively, you can download it from Google Play

Nice job
It's working nice on an AT&T SGS2 running on an Hellraised VillainRom 3.0 and a Rebel T2i.
Can't wait to try the full dslr controller now. It's been a long, patient wait!
Working great on my SGS2 Hope I can buy the full version soon via market...
Should be on the market in a few hours
EDIT: DSLR Controller v0.75 (which works on rooted SGS2 and Notes) has been released... could be another day before the Android Market actually updates, though !
what are the differences between free & paid version??
My phone is an LG Optimus 2x (P990), but the market says the app is not compatible. What is that based on? And will it be compatible in the future?
I did a test with nexus s and I 5d mark II and with android 4.0.3. I get message that no device found.
Interesting.. can you use USB sticks with the Nexus S on ICS ?
I have tryed to connect a usb stick, mouse and a keyboard but nothing happens. I checked /sdcard/usbStorage/sda/ and /mnt but nothing. I also tryed this two
https://market.android.com/details?id=aws.apps.usbDeviceEnumerator&feature=search_result
https://market.android.com/details?id=labs.antu.hw.storage&feature=search_result
Do I need to mount a usb device with ICS?
EDIT: My device is not rooted and running stock ICS 4.0.3
Logitech Revue - Google TV support?
Any chance whether this will work on Logitech Revue ie. Google TV? Imagine blown up 42" or 55" at 1080p quality images.. mmm tasty
Would it be possible to integrate a Nikon version? Not that I need it, I have a wireless shutter release, I'm just curious.
I don't have any Nikon hardware to play with. Otherwise, probably could.

Works great with galaxy tab 10.1 and 7d

Android 7.1.2 Nougat On Huawei Y5 2017 Custom ROM, CrDroid OS

This is found on https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=823938&st=600
Use at your own risks.
Its a beta version, CrDrold OS ported to Android 7.1.2
What works:
+ Led-indication (LED) works both on the drain (green / red)
+ SMS receives and sends.
+ 2 / 3G catches including mobile Internet.
+ GPS works.
+ WiFi (including as an access point).
+ BT with my clock synchronized and files transferred.
+ FM-radio-works (in any case, hisses)))
+ Various multimedia
+ Standard browser works
+ 2x windowed mode works
+ For those to whom it is important - Association of drives, checked-works.
+ LiveDispley - night mode, read mode, blue filter no matter how the review, in general it works and almost without animation brakes.
+ Additional button - works
+ Camera. As it should be 8mp rear, 5mp front, both flashes, does not blush, does not green, photos are saved, the video is removed, autofocus plows.
+ Engineering menu-works, call through the utility.
+ Compass (patch below)
+ System ROOT - activate and control access in the "for developers" menu / Beta2 uses SuperSu .
+ Google Playmarket - of all gaps the current it. So it was at the source and it suits me. All the rest download through the market.
Not works:
* Beta2 - WiFi does not work immediately after installation. It is treated with a patch on the compass! (ie one patch will fix both that and another)
* Connecting and using the bluetooth headset causes terrible brakes
* Some video on YouTube (via the application) break up into squares. Through the browser, everything loses normally. I'm using Tubemate and everything is ok.
Installation:
As zip-installer through TWRP, preliminary making wipe dalvick, cache, system, data . In an ideal and internal memory it is also desirable to wipe
Download Beta2 (Yandex disk)<-
Are you using it right now? If so can you send the twrp recovery that you used? I badly want to leave the stock rom because it has too many issues.
work on cun l21? ??
Sirve para el Huawei y5 2017 MYA-LO3
This rom won't work. Unless you have a full backup and know what you're doing don't flash this firmware for testing.
Also I forgot to ask the difference between MYA-L22 and MYA-U29.
