So my GMail works on my phone. But doesn't actually change anything on GMail when I view it on a desktop. It used to be when I viewed an email on my phone it would show up on my desktop as viewed. Now when I view it on my phone, I check my desktop and it doesn't update to reflect what I have viewed.
Any way of fixing this? Running cm7 RC1
Have you tried clearing data / cache for gmail. I had this problem a long time back with eclair, a clear and resetup cleared it up

I know that you said that you cleared the cache, but did you "clear data" as well? I think this is what I did last time mine acted up.
same issue here, I never use the market to look for an app updates anymore instead I tried to use App Update Notifier and it works just fine.

Clear data then restart the phone. This has fixed every market issue I've had yet.

Used the SGS tool script to reset the market and now its working fine again. Thanks for the suggestions everyone
this happens to me all the time... idk why
Have you tried downloading a small free app from the market? You can uninstall it right after, to see if it works. Whenever I flash a new ROM and restore apps with TiBu, the market doesn't see my restored apps. But, when I download a new app, the market then recognizes my restored ones. It's worth a shot and will only take a minute.
Edit: Sorry, didn't see you found out already, you're way is probably better too. >.<
Sometimes when i try to open a message in the app it will just say loading and never open the message. and when i try to delete threads it just says deleting and when its done there STILL there. I have tried rebooting my phone and everything. Anyone had this happen to them? if so how did you fix it.? Help! thanks!
also a little background im running att stock rom rooted 1.85
Try a full factory reset. Remember to Titanium Backup all your apps.

Once you hit about 6000 messages, the Sense Messages app breaks. For now I'm using GO SMS. Hopefully it'll be fixed in Sense 4.1. Otherwise I'll switch to CM10 when there's a stable release.

uhh i had like 65 threads in the messaging app, but only texted a few people constantly. and about 140 contacts.
Did anyone actually found a fix for this? I am having the same problem on a HTC One S... Tried clearing cache and everything.
if nothing works download titanium back up and back up your text messages and do a factory reset, then restore your messages with titanium back up :X

I'm not sure if there is a definite fix. The last thing I read was to try moving it to /system/app.
moving gmail to /system/app works. Since I moved mine, I haven't had the blank email problem.

I'm having a similar issue with Gmail and pulse too. When ever I click on a news story it comes up blank. If I go into the task manager and close pulse or Gmail its usually fixed though.

Although it's a good alternative I prefer Gmail due to my paranoia of third party substitute applications, Its ironic because I'm using a 3rd party Rom but if it uses a form of XOauth or Oauth, I may consider it

It's been always working for me, except occasional issues specifically related to CM10. (Netflix tends to be the worst-case stress test for AOSP firmwares.)
There was one case where it would just crash on startup - clearing data fixed that.
Mine is working, even after accidentily updating. From what i've read, i won't update on my sgs3 because it takes away LTE/4G viewing and you can now only view in wifi mode. If this is incorrect please someone correct me.
It used to work very well, however lately I can open the app, search for the show i wanna watch, but when I touch it to select it, it just sits there, doing nothing. The app doesn't freeze, as I can back out of the search, but it just doesn't let me load the seasons/episodes.

I actually had this happen on my gray version. I quit the application (force close if i had to) and restarted. When netflix started it would be in portrait mode, but then it would play in landscape

Cache cleaned, removed and reinstalled updates, nothing helps. It was fine until the 9/6 update. Great.
Mine works fine too... maybe its time to factory reset if the problem persist and hope it fixes it.

Thanks, but no. I'd rather live without search until they do the next update.
Hi guys,

open Netflix after the update, and go into settings to uncheck the option for "Wifi only"
Oddly enough, Netflix won't let me search/watch sons of anarchy. Every other search seems fine. Not sure what that's about...

Maps was removed from the phones custom romsbbecause of this issue I don't believe anyone has fixed it
Unfortunatly, you may need a different "maps" app from the store
And if you are rooted you should get /system/app an remove all un used applications saves space an runs a bit faster

I'm actually not rooted as I don't have a PC and can't figure out how to root with a mac, or if it's even possible.

If you go into Play Store and click Uninstall Update (or something like that) for Google Maps, sometimes that fixes it.
