I have a Samsung Vibrant with a FFC installed running Axura 2.3.1. I know there is an FFC mod available, but if it's installed, it knocks out the HD video recording feature. Does anyone know if there is a ROM out there available for the Vibrant that supports the FFC without knocking out the HD video recording feature? Thanks guys.

I purchased the Nexus S 4G for Sprint not too long ago, only to be devastated by it's video recording quality. Really, a 2011 smartphone that doesn't have HD/720p Video Recording capabilities? That is bullcrap!
My question is, can they add HD video recording with a software update? Or is the camera lens on the Nexus S 4G not technically capable of capturing high def videos?
am also looking for the same answer.
iS hD {720p} recording possible in Nexus S {not 4G, regular one}

AFAIK its more like a software problem than hardware. Though it may also be due to lack of internal bandwidth between sub systems. It is not a deal breaker for me though I do get like WTF when every Tom, **** and Harry comes with his/her HTC XYZ and tells me about 720p recording :/
These questions were asked multiple times. The short answer is that the parts 720p recording is not possible with a software update. Apparently the NFC module used the space needed for the HD chip.

Hi all. Is it possible for ICS users do a umts 3g video call (not skype) like the original Samsung?(the red circle on pic) I tried to make a video call but suddenly, there is no option to do it. Not even in the settings. Is there anything I can do to enable it?
What I mean is not video chat that uses data plan but that uses carrier (charges according to time, like voice call). I don't want to waste my data plan on gtalk/skype.

Native 3G video calling is not supported on AOSP / Stock Android. Samsung uses 3rd party proprietary libraries to support video calling in their ROMs. So if you want native 3G video calling, switch to official 2.3.6 GB ROMs.

just open your skype and check if the vedio call option enabled and call it ... better using the latest CM9 ... i already have a vedio call on skype with 3g network

I did search about it before and found that Galaxy Nexus didn't support this video call. I was shocked cuz this technology existed since decades ago but the latest android dont support it. But it was originally built in the galaxy sl, rite? Can we port it from the original rom anyhow? Can we use the phone.apk from samsung gingerbread to ics? Or can we use the telephony provider file or something that can be used?

Yup I agree when you say that the technology is a decade old.... but native umts video calling is not so popular in the USA and hence the concept itself is missing in stock android. However Galaxy S , SL , Tab etc. had this feature on stock Samsung ROMs. You can try using the phone.apk from GB ROMs , but I doubt that would work.

Odp: [Request] Slow Motion Video for Galaxy Note
Good request ^-^
Meaning to slow the play speed of the video? If so try Dice Player! play.google.com
I think he is asking about an app to capture at high framerates... i doubt that because its a hardware related limitation.
the one that makes the video slow mo... i saw this effect in galaxy note 2...
In my galaxy s3, its already ported. So, why not on our note.

Take a look at the thread for Temasek's unofficial CM11, some users have found that camera performs much better when the cpu is firing on all cylinders! *edited* It seems some other fixes, which I was already using are also required. Take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50686592
my device is xperia mini pro, I flash CM 11, my vodeo recording is perfect, try ti flash it again
