[Q] How to replace lockscreen via ADB - General Questions and Answers

Hi there
Noob here
Sorry if posted the wrong place.
As the title states, how to replace the lockscreen via adb?
I accidentally patched my old lockscreen (with metamorph) with unsuitable blackbar lockscreen and now I cannot start my phone
I boot my phone (taking battery in and out many times) and still, its the same --stuck at the android boot screen and cannot do anything.
I cannot launch any application, run launcher home app.
I have a feeling that the unsuitable lockscreen i patched is the "culprit". So I wanted to disable the lockscreen and enter launcher home app successfully.
The below attachment is what I used to patch my lockscreen.
I would appreciate if anyone can provide me with original android lockscreen suitable for my U8150 or any file suitable and instructions. Thanks
Please help me or PM me. Very urgent.
Note: Did not do any backup because I cannot enter recovery mode. I cannot/don't know how to flash any boot images or recovery images. Tried button combinations, either give me a pink screen or IDEOS boot screen.
Sorry for my english!
Using Ideos-B U8150
Phone rooted

[q] accidentally deleted lockscreen widget now locked out help!!!

Hey everyone I have a HTC inspire 4g that is unlocked and rooted, well I was deleting all the apps and bs that I didn't need i accidentally deleted the lockscreen slider widget so therefore now I'm locked out of the phone. I've looked everywhere for info on re-installing the lockscreen widget from a zip file but haven't had any luck. The phone turns on and I do get signal and all but it's just stuck on the lockscreen with no slider to unlock to get into the phone. Please someone help!!!
You could re-install your rom without wiping. You will have to start over on the cleaning but you would be able to unlock the phone.
Sent using the power of the dark side.
You can also try calling your device, pick up the call, you shall be left at the home screen when you hang up...
adb push?
You can try reinstalling the lockscreen application via adb. You can look the apk via google and then run "adb push XXX.apk" if you left the debugging mode activated.
Always you can reset your phone entering in recovery mode. Don't forget make a backup
I've done that before... well... i tried modding it and it didnt go over so well... but the adb method described above worked just fine to put the original lockscreen back in there

I made a total noob mistake

I am taking back my tf700t back to the store and was trying to get it back to stock. I have it rooted with the bootloader still locked and i used titanium backup to clean out some bloatware and other things i didnt want... like the stock launcher.i was using nova and forgot to restore the stock launcher from backup and now i cant boot up due to a bootloop.
i have general knowledge with adb and can use it decently but im lacking the direction on how to install either a) the stock image or b) install a launcher and the play store to get me back to where i can get it back up.
i know ill have to use adb because i didnt install TWRP recovery so all i get is a reboot system, factory reset and clear cache. so can someone help me please?

This was stolen from the LCD Density thread in General. You probably should hit this guy's thanks button

I just want to weight in that this Application, LCD Density Modder, messed up my Infinity big time. It was a perfect tablet until I downloaded and tried to use this application.
Here is what I posted in another thread.
Thanks so much for the guide. I was using the LCD Density App and that thing jacked my Infinity up big time. I will never use that application again. It wanted SuperUser clearance to save the Pixel Density, then when I checked Save & Reboot, my Infinity never turned on again. It just got stuck at the ASUS screen and wouldn't turn off. If I tried to power down, it just turned back on and stuck at the first Asus Screen.
I used the following directions and was able to get back to stock firmware.
Thank god.
*** Factory Restore after a softbrick ***
When You Need This?
* if you get stuck on Asus boot screen (the one with the spinning wheel)
Note: You need to have a working recovery (stock or custom) in order to use this method.
========= Recover with stock recovery =========
1) Download the latest firmware from Asus site (based os your SKU,eg. ww 9.4.5.26)
2) Extract the .zip file somewere on your desktop (the result will be another .zip file, use it for step 3)
3) Rename the extracted archive to "EP201_768_SDUPDATE" (without the " ") and upload it to a MicroSD card
4) Insert the MicroSD card in your tablet and use this button combination to Power ON and go to recovery --> Start the tablet by pressing Volume Down and POWER togheter for 5 seconds ,a message will inform you that you have 5 seconds to enter the recovery, press Volume UP before the 5 seconds expire.
At this point the device will go in recovery and should start updating your firmware .
So yeah, thanks for this guide and beware of the Pixel Density Application. I know someone from here created it, but It could not have been more clear that it messed my tablet up since I had never had a problem until I gave it SuperUser Clearance then it never turned on again. I know some of you are having great success, and that is awesome, but this application did not dance well with my Asus Infinitiy.

THANK YOU SIR!!! I very much appreciate that. I did do a search for "stock ruu" before posting and must have over looked that one.

[Completed] lg volt ls740zv5 sort of bricked

Can someone help me please?
I rooted my phone and got a little carried away with debloating. Now the phone boots up but it's sort of a black screen. I can see the clock and stuff and I can swipe top down to view the notifications. I can also push the power button and push it again to use call and messaging. Other than that it's just total darkness.
I think something went horribly wrong during debloating because the system app remover crashed while it uninstall some apps.
I held the volume down key and power button to do a factory reset and that didn't help.
Help meeee!
Hi there,
You could try to adb sideload a rom and flash it. Or fastboot flash a working recovery onto your device, and then sideload a rom and flash it. Or you may have to reflash stock firmware onto your device to get it to work. Here is a guide as to how to flash roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Flashing_Guide_-_Android.
To sideload, the command is simply "adb sideload name of file" without the quotation marks.
For further help regarding your problem, you can post your questions in the XDA help forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help.
Good luck

Bricked my phone by replacing the Emoji file

Hi all,
I managed to brick my phone by replacing the NotoColorEmoji.ttf file and I hope you guys can help me out. When trying to boot I run into a bootloop with the booting animation where the 2 white dots are rotating around the red one for ever but the animation is slowed down...
Is there a way to re-replace the file by the original NotoColorEmoji?
My phone: Android 11; OOS11; stock Recovery; USB Debugging is activated but adb is unauthorized
I wanted to install TWRP to use sideload but it seems like TWRP and OOS11 are not compatible...? (I always get stuck in "Fastboot Mode" Screen when trying to boot into TWRP)
I think I could unbrick my phone by using the MSM tool, but would prefer keeping my data, so if there is a way to fix my Problem without data loss I would really apreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
no way except msm. and wrong thread. you should ask questions like that on QA forums.
Thanks for the quick reply and sorry for wrong thread.
