You've unchecked stock SMS app notification, but have you unchecked Handcent notification?

That's a text message notification. If you dont want to see that, turn off all text notifications in whatever text program you are using.

thanks everyone...

it was from (Beautiful Widgets Pack 2) <<< till now i don't believe it!!!!!!
I uninstalled it and Hooooooray!!!!!!!!!!

Notification of messages/mail/voice/missed calls/etc...

Hi guys,
When i receive a message i don't always get the chance to read it straigh away. I also sometimes don't hear the message tone.
What i would like is notification every x minutes of unread messages/mail aswell as missed calls and voice mails.
i used to use something from spb which showed the missed/unread items as well as repeating a beep every x minutes.

Anyone know something suitable to do the same even though im using touchflo?
Cheers
you should be able to use spb phone suite without the today plugin
SPB phone suite does work even with TF3D enabled. It doesn't neccessarily have to be on the today screen.
There was a topic about it in the SW section.
maybe try this app:

I cant figure out what this is

On 1 rom i forget which... every time i received a text message a gray sms box popped up and stayed there for like 5 seconds showing the text message then went away. It even showed up through the lock screen as well. I cannot figure out what it was nor do i remember which rom it was on, and i really want it. Anyone know what it is??
It looked like this kinda...

}
Did you even bother Googling it?
I looked up Txtract and found this:
http://wiki.brilaps.com/wikka.php?wakka=Txtract
Im not referring to txtract, im referring to the gray box with text in it. This was the only picture I could find that showed what the gray box looked like.
Handcent SMS app from market does that i believe.
The app you are probably thinking of is "SMS popup" which is a download from the market (free from memory)

Facebook Messenger problem

Hello I have a problem with Facebook Messenger on this phone (never had this problem on any other phone).
Problem is that if I open messenger from the chat heads (overlay), the app is over everything. And by everything I mean absolutely everything (including long press paste option, own messenger settings (I'm unable to change conversation default emoji, because every other messenger screen opens under the chat screen and cannot be accessed), etc.).
If I open it from the app launcher like natural app, it is all fine. Problem is only with the overlay.
Also I have some search bar in messenger, which nobody I know has there.
Anybody with similar problems or is there something wrong with my messenger / phone?
I'm running stock b180, not rooted, not unlocked bootloader.

Anyone know what this is?

A new icon has started popping up in the status bar on my SGS 6 (UK) since the recent update:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It only appears when I open Chrome, Flipboard or Facebook and is persistant for some time after the apps are closed (even if I kill the processes).
Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Yeap, WiFi calling.
I should have clarified that it happens when I am not on wifi as well. I also can't figure why it would be active in an app like Flipboard that is not in anyway a communication app.
Gonna clear and hard reset my device in case as this seems to me a little suspicious.
There is an option to turn it on or off in the notification center.
I dont have that option on my notification but it is the right icon so at least I know what it is.
Thanks for the advice guys 😀

What are these messages called and how can they be disabled?

This message appears when I switch windows when writing a new email in the Nine email app. This message blocks the keyboard and is annoying, so I would like it disabled. Since theres no way to turn if off in the app settings, I would like to disable this notification through more advanced means. First I want to know what it is called so I can search for a xposed module or some other mod that removed it all together. I don't like useless pop up message. I find them to be about as annoying as bugs crawling on my screen.

That is a toast
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop-up_notification
https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/notifiers/toasts.html
On my LOS20 there is a setting "Dont show pop-notifications on screen" but not sure if that does the trick for you...
Q: Disable app's toast messages?
groups.google.com
According to this they can be disabled on an app basis using adb. Which is just what I want.
