Hey guys.
I just made my first android game. Its called walkabout - the idea is to collect all the stars on each level, but as you walk the path beneath you disappears. You need to think about your route or you'll be stranded!
The market link is:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.base2.walkaboutdemo
Or you can search 'walkabout' in the market.
Full version is here:

But even if there is an issue please let me know and i'll fix it ASAP!
Well done. GUI is splendid and the game is enticing. I give the game a 5/5.
Are you going to make another game? If so I'll be a fellow purchaser in the future.
If you need, I have a couple of ideas that I've been wishing I could put into action. I'd be willing to let you have those ideas royalty free. Private message me if you're interested in my ideas. I'll pm you in about 4 to 5 days if I don't see anything in my inbox ^>^.
I personally think you'd be the perfect game dev for my ideas.. And anything that you make off this game would be all for you. What's in it for me - Just being able to say I had a little part in helping you develop a game.
Sent you a PM
Updated to v1.5.3 - All reported bugs fixed
Updated to 1.5.4 - sped up menu transitions, and decreased end level 'speech bubble' time.
A user has made a walkthrough in case you're stuck on any particular level!

The rest of the levels should be up in the next few days.
Great game! The graphics and sfx are very cute - reminds me a little of the zelda mini puzzle games.
Plays nicely on my N1. Your trial version is very good - enough levels to get you interested and try out player switching.

looks like fun Haha I love the music in the video btw
Thanks! Hope you like our game!
Leave a word if you've tried our game!
Works on a HTC Dream as well. Not as funny as angry birds but still a good time killer. Thank you!
Quite good.
It's quite funny, but what I'm really impressed with is how speedy it is. Angry Birds isn't an enjoyable experience on my HTC Legend, but this game runs perfectly fluent.
However, the small screen of my device makes it hard to use the shooting mechanism, exactly as you want it.
This looks like a copy of MOBLOX!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.ellismarkov.mobloxads&feature=search_result
We didn't copy it. We create the stage on our own.
I think the idea comes from some similar flash games
Some stages are quite challenging. Easily get stuck there
I have bought the full version. Now stuck in 8 - 7. Anyone?
Just tryed it its fun, but why no catchy music in the game? And it would be cool if there was a sound of smashing walls when you hit the wall. Now that im thinking about it, add a soundeffect when you fire as well.
Other than that, great game!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Thanks for your comments! We may add in more interesting sound effects in the next update~
In general the game is nice. Some stages are tricky to deal with
It takes some time to pass them through
Hope the graphics can be further polished
Thanks for your opinion! We will stretch our limit to improve our future game!
To be honest some stages are pretty easy. Only 1 or 2 shots and you'll go. But one of a few will be more difficult. Only specific angle and force will let you get enough scores.
Nice work! Thanks for sharing
We will improve the graphics in our future game! Break it! is our testing experiment
My small screen device can work well. Nice!
Already tired of angry birds, good to see other alternative
Rate and comment our app on market if you like it. Thanks!
Please leave a comment to us if you like our game!
Hey,
we, a group of students from Austria, released a little project of ours to the market yesterday.
The game is called RunnersHigh and it's a Runner game. You play a dinosaur and jump from platform to platform.
Also it's a open source game, so you can get the code on github.
Any Feedback is highly welcome!
Check it out it's FREE!

Hi, fellow devs!
So it seems that we're going to compete in a field of "running" games, because I'm making one too Anyway, I've tried out your creation. Lovely animation, cute dino and everything looks really nice.
Some of the things I did not liked is jump mechanics - I've god some criticism for that too, so it seems that people does not like then jump is too linear. You should add some deceleration/acceleration to it.
Also, I've managed to crash your game while testing some "user behavior" like "pressing Home while playing", "locking phone while playing". You should try out things like this and see if everything is working fine after going back to application.
That's probably all for now. Good luck!
Hey SnottyApps,
Thanks for your feedback, it's always nice to get feedback from a fellow developer!
Actually the jump isn't linear and does have acceleration.
Also we tested our app with several devices and had a group of testers.
If you can reproduce a crash please send us a report (just press "send report" when the app crashes) and we'll have a look at it.
You could even have a look on the source code and fix the problem yourself. The code is available on github: https://github.com/mwebi/runnersHigh
The thing with runner games is, that there are a lot of them on the market already. I wouldn't develop one at this time. We started to work on this app in early 2011, and at that time there were hardly any runner games on android.
Today there are a lot of highly polished games on the market and if you really want to be successful in terms of making money (which wasn't our goal), you'll need a more innovative idea IMHO.
Well, I guess I should've said that it's too linear. It really does feel unnatural, especially on lower speed. Have you considered to make jump related to the "hold" instead of "tap" action?
And I can't reproduce that crash, so maybe it was a one-time glitch - sorry to scare you I'll definitely report it if it happens one more time.
There are a lot of similar games indeed, but I think that with some good or fun or both ideas it's still possible to be something. Maybe it's just an illusion - I see many lovely games burrowed by popular ones and it's my first game, so I don't know anything yet As far as running games goes I tried as many as I could and I did not find many of then which I could really enjoy. Well, "Run like hell" is amazingly well made, but I did not like the controls and I hated the amount of ads.
You can check out my game, if you like. It's in the market - "Run Pig Run". I've created a thread about it in these forums today, but, I guess, it's not very easy to get replies if you're "small" or completely new

Enjoyment for your baby, relaxation for you!
Description
!!! Please read the entire short description"!!!
This game was made for my little girl and she enjoyed it a lot. It is made for toddlers of 1 to 3 years and has a set of small, but entertaining games. It's a one man project, I did everything from code to drawings and I'd really appreciate a 5* rating. The app should work fine on smartphones on all screen resolutions. Tablet support is in development, so far the 7" tablets should have perfectly working games but with some resized images (may be a bit blurry). If you find anything looking bad or want the app to work on 10" tablets, please drop me an email.
NO ADS, NO PERMISSIONS REQUIRED, NO SPYING ON THE USER. As you can see the app does not require any permission at all, no internet access, no private information needed It's made just for the entertainment of your baby.
For now there are five mini games included
- Explore - learn each animal's sound and specific moves
- Guess - try to guess what animal makes the sound that is playing
- Hide - animals are hiding all over the farm, find them
- Catch - sheep are trying to escape, catch them
- Touch - add and remove animals from the screen with a simple touch.
Each mini game has its own animations and sounds.
I would really appreciate a 5* rating!!!
I hope you and your baby will enjoy this as much as mine did.
You can find the app in Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.animalsplayground

You already fixed the bugs which I want to mention. The last is that I'm not able to exit app from ma "back" burton on HTC ONE X.
Sent from HOX with ARHD 14.2
Yes, indeed, on Back button of Home screen, the app does not go into background. Why I did it like this ? Because I got a few times, accidentaly, exit the app from a minigame... How would you like to have the behavior: exit on Back or have a Yes/No Are you sure you want to exit ?
I discovered the cause of blurry images on Nexus 7, I will soon release an updated version to make the app look better on tablets.
Thank you elmo for your feedback. I really appreciate it!!!
alinescoo, Ok lets stay without exit button - you are right
I have just updated the app with fixes for all the bugs send by users. Thanks a lot for support.
alinescoo, thanks mate. Any chance for new game under button "soon"?
Well to be honest I have no idea what game to include. I am opened to suggestions.

Hello,
Dark Cave Runner is an endless run game type.
What's different to this game, is that, besides the fear for unknown feeling, it provides different features and game play than the current endless run games out there.
I would appreciate if you can download and tell me your opinions via reviews/mails/reply to this post. All opinions will be taken in consideration, and any ideas to improve the game would be greatly appreciated!
Requires Android 2.3.1+
Its available on Android and Windows phone stores currently.

Hey, nice game. I like runner games and the controls and feel of this one was pretty good.
I did encounter a problem. After a few tries i was stuck on the summary page. The screen darkened a little, but no ad was displayed and i could not continue the game. I closed the app and re-opened it from my taskmanager and the ad had appeared. I could then close it and continue the game.
Other than that i enjoyed the game. Also It would be nice to be able to see my highest score. Think i managed to get around 170
Hi!
I really appreciate your time to test and play Dark Cave Runner!
The problem you faced is indeed produced by ads. The bug will be fixed in the next update, which will come with some new features as well!
Thank you!
Nice runner game, quite like the dark cave setting. As I'm new to this type of game I wasn't aware immediately that you tilt the phone to move left and right haha. Maybe for plebs like me you could put in a quick hint at the very start? It's such a minor point though since I worked it out very quickly anyway.
Hello!
Thanks for taking some time, playing Dark Cave Runner!
I found out that some players may have problems with the sensitivity of the tilt. I will add a hint warning them, on the next update.
Thanks!
Hey man good work on the game runs absolutely fine on my Note 3 silky smooth and the graphics are great. I really like the setting it's a free take! What engine did you use and how long did it take you to make?
Hi man,
Thank you for your kind words! The engine is Unity, and it took like 1 week.
Thanks!
good
If it aint hilly, than it's just silly

Recently I developed and released an iPhone/Android game. It is simple yet challenging 2d platform game with lovable characters, pretty graphic landscapes and good banjo sounds. Well it sounds like many others...
EXCEPT it has a cool feature to customize characters with your or somebody else head directly from camera. All who tried it found it interesting and kids alone love it. I guess you will find it interesting too if you give it a try.
the website is
www.HillPiggy.me
If you are willing to try it here are the links where you can get it
PlayStore & AppStore
Your suggestions in improving it are more than welcome
If you find it interesting (I hope you do), please do help me share it
Wish you very best for holidays.
Matija
Nice, this game is super silly and funny! The idea that you can take a photo for each of the main characters is great I think it would be cool that after taking the photo, you could share a personalized screenshot with these two special characters and send it to your friends with one click
I recommend that you do a little more work on the player physics. making something look a little more realistic will get you a long way.
Hahaha, funny game man! Cheers!
The part that you can put your own picture in the game is great! What are your plans for the future versions?
gj anyways
Thank you guys for support. Last few days I was celebrating so I am now suffering + I was trying to promote game in spare time and haven't read messages earlier.
I was thinking about making physics a little fluid (as suggested) but I think it would be wiser to expend some other features, add some more endings, make Billy a bit slower, also was thinking about voiceover, maybe tutorial before running start - don’t know what to do first.
During development, I hit a wall trying to set up a screenshot feature on IOS like on android. I get it to take a shot but I can't make it open in Photos. I spent 2 weeks on trying to make it work and finally I give up and made a help page showing what buttons you should press to grab screenshot. I don't want to start something similar and spend too much time on it.
One more thing, I am using Unity to develop and it’s so funny how camera is acting in IOS so much different than in Android. I had to make a shooting page portrait on iPhone and landscape on Droid to make it work.
