3. if you are re-installing Home.apk & Home.apk is already running..then you need to delete data folder under data/data folder named --home-- & delete delvik cach under data/delvik folder named [email protected] after installing new home.apk...& restart the phone. otherwise you'll get widget error.

sorry i cant install, can U guide explain for me? Thanks

Why don't make a .zip folder to install with xRecovery?

i would say
great theme, but i think the icons dun reli match,, they are just too colourful that ruined it lolz
2 suggestions i would make:
1: include a .zip package so we can xRecovery it
2: use grey/black icons instead

Thank u guys...definitely will work for xrecovery & make it more darker....

It is very simple...open the Framework-res.apk with 7zip. under asset/font folder you need to place your desire font. but remember, font file (.ttf) should be proper size & change the name as it is there. if you have not light & reguler ver for same font, just rename SoMALight.ttf & SoMARegular.ttf the same font & place it....Voila ...you have your own clock font....
Hope this will help you....

Hello
I tried to customize your Full Dark theme, by replacing the lockscreen font clock, and by replacing some .png in framework-res/dawable-hdpi but when I try to install the new ZIP theme with xrecovery, it fails.
Is there a special way to modify the ZIP/apk files ?
My method is :
- extraction of framework-res.apk from Full Dark ZIP file
- renaming of framework-res.apk into framework-res.apk.zip
- extraction of drawable-hdpi directory
- modification of png files into that extracted directory
- replacement of the original drawable-hdpi directory in framework-res.apk.zip, by the new one
- renaming of framework-res.apk.zip into framework-res.apk
- replacement of the original framework-res.apk of your Full Dark ZIP file, by the new one

Thanks folks. Does anyone care to type out a guide/instructions on how to get this working, for someone who is a bit of a newbie? I do have a rooted x10 with all the latest updates.

It look good... i'll try it...
Good Work... and thank for this share...

Installation and Downloads
At first I have to say something new!
The new Metamorph seems to be a bit unstable by applying themes with coloured text in the statusbars. Some of you have reported problems while applying it. So I have decided to make the theme applying in a few little steps.
This is a Metamorph Theme. You have to install Metamorph (or better: Metamorph Pro) from the market. Copy the following files to your SD Card in the folder "AndroidThemes"
If you have problems
Check following
1. Have you downloaded the correct files for your ROM?
2. Have you debugging enabled in the Android Menu?
3. Install "Titanium Backup" start it and hit the "Problems?" Button, then it installs a correct busybox version. This is required!!!
4. In Metamorph, press Menu, play with the applying speed. Choose a speed above 4200!
5. Never check the "Disable startup checks" in Metamorphs settings
5.2. If the notification text isn't white, reapply the second zip file. Metamorph is a bit buggy with it. I must apply it four times, but it still works
6. Never, never, never rename the zipfile. If you do this, you become error messages like "Theme Control File Missing"
Click to collapse
Step 1:
Download and apply this
Main Theme File for Cyanogen and Enomthers
Main Theme File for MCR
Step 2:
CMUI file for Cyanogen ROM Copy this to the root of your SD Card, delete the ".desire" extension. Go to Cyanogen Settings and Load this file
Text Colour File for Enomther ROM 2.11. Install via Metamorph.
Text Colour File for Enomther Rom2.21preAlpha+Copy this to the root of your SD Card, delete the ".desire" extension. Go to Spare Parts and Load this file
Text Colour File for Modaco ROMs Install via Metamorph
Thanks to all, who have made it possible!!
What changes this morph:
- Statusbar
- Battery Icons
- Statusbar drawer
- WiFi Icons
- Mobile Icons
- GPS Icon
If you wanna have the icons from screenshot number two
- Gmail Statusbar Icon
- Email Statusbar Icon
- SMS/MMS Statusbar Icon
- Google Talk Statusbar Icon
You have to install this, too:

Ohsaka for making it easy to change the services.jar colours with his incredible colour changer

Nice. Looks familiar.
I can't use my own themes with mcr. It's terrible. I hope, Paul make it d'odexed soon, so we can apply it.
nice and simple but its left my clock font color black. now i cant read the time
Oh, on which ROM is your Nexus? Sounds like stock or Modaco.
I really like it but was wondering if you could make the notification slide down tray less transparent? Especially when you're on a screen with a white background it is difficult to distinguish between the tray and what is in your notifications...other than that it looks great
Update to newest and screenshots in first post.
I am using this status bar and am loving it. Keep up the good work!!
Update:
From now with
- Camera App now in Carbon - themed by m00m00, Thank you, bro!
says e: no signature e: verification failed when i try to install the .zip from recovery mode. am i doing something wrong?
Yes, indeed. You did something wrong.
This is a Metamorph Theme.
Put the zip file as it ist to a folder called "AndroidThemes" on your SD Card, install and run "Metamorph" from Marketplace. It is free.

but: all my wallpapers are gone! how do i get them back!??
Why are all your wallpapers gone? This Metamorph didn't make any changes to wallpapers.
I think, there is only one Wallpaper, the default wallpaper from Cyanogen, overwriten by framework.
Or?

when i install this it sets the default live wallpaper. when i go into wallpapers to select another one (non live) all the wallpaper pictures are blank.
???
Anyone who have this problem, too?
I never heard of it.
Very strange.
Sorry, that you have these problems with my morph.
Could you please try this:
reinstall your rom (this does not require a wipe!)
look into the wallpapers - are your wallpapers in there?
reinstall the metamorph theme
are your wallpapers now away?
I've tried my morphs before sharing it here. But I never had these problems.
Added MCR 19 Compatibility. See first post for Download Link.
thank you for this theme you are very beautiful and ur theme is beautiful :0

awesome ass mod! what are the dimensions for this?
Nice work! I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention.
here is my version!
I tried this and got a boot loop. It would load all the way to the boot sequence then FC the framework. How can i modify without breaking the signature. I am on a mac, because i know everyone uses winrar on pc.
Some had posted a file and asked for the avenge sevenfold death bat to be put on.
I had done it but the posts were lost when the site was recovered a few days ago.
I cant remember who it was, but here it is.

How do I get rid of the "sprint" in the upper left of the notification bar?
Also, do I need to delete the original png?

Instructions on editing the sprint banner can be found here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=708419
To do this mod you wouldnt delete the original png...you need to replace it with the modded png file. I would make and save backup of the original on your local hard drive that way if you ever wanted to go back to stock or create a new banner with a different image you would have a copy of the non modified stock png to work with.
Thanks, I got the header and closer .png changed. Now to get rid of the pesky Sprint lettering.

The .png image file is the same physical size, but the framework-res.apk file is now larger in size than the one i edited it from, does that have anything to do with it?

Yeah, true enough. It's a whole different kettel of fish now - we just need to edit the xml's (decompiling/recompiling with apktool) and drag them into the framework now.
I just had a bit of a play... I managed to change the color of the provider text by editing res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml. Changing status_bar_icon.xml didn't seem to have any effect but I did add some alpha. I will have another look tomorrow and post what I find out in my themes reference thread.

Has anyone here modded framework-res.apk located in system/framework?
I'm doing what is wrote in this guide, but phone dosen't boot then. I had to flash it with SEUS.
Here is what i do. Am i missing or wronging something?
Code:
Step 1:
Connect phone to pc, enable usb debugging and open adb. Type:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk framework-res.apk
That will pull your framework-res.apk to whatever folder is displaying in your command line.
Step 2:
Find the framework-res.apk on your hard drive, right click and open with 7zip.
Step 3:
Use png's here or create your own and dump into the appropriate folder within framework-res.apk.
Step 4:
When you are done editing the files open up adb and type the following command:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
adb push framework-res.apk /sdcard/framework-res.apk
adb shell dd if=/sdcard/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk
That will put the new framework-res.apk on your phone. It should automatically reboot (if not reboot it) and your changes should be applied!
When running the script above you can replace framework-res.apk with whatever you want. For example, Timescape.apk
Remember, it is CASE sensitive I made this problem many times)

I have attached the framework with the only modification being the white status bar and dark icons (and the fact that you can see the clock, of course ).
Don't forget to unzip the framework, don't just rename it
woot woot, pretty awesome, nice work indeed....now we actually need a completely white theme.....
Chewitts on the case I just did this cause I could

Hello everyone, I'm here to present my BlueMOD! If you have a HTC Explorer you know how limited we are when it comes to roms, mods and themes (we don't even get Cyanogen!) so I worked over many days to design this blue mod as perfectly as possible. Works with Stock ROM & JaggyROM!

Make sure you have HTC Sync & Android Commander installed:
HTC Sync DOWNLOAD
Android Commander DOWNLOAD
Watch the video tutorial HERE!
1. Download the latest version of BlueMOD (link is at bottom of this post)
2. Extract BlueMOD.rar
3. Connect your phone to your PC (Charging Only mode)
4. Open Android Commander
5. In Android Commander, on the right side, navigate to '/' on your phone (you should be there already, you will see there is a 'system' folder there)
6. On the left side, navigate to the 'system' folder which you extracted from the BlueMOD.rar, now you have to go into each folder within this system folder and copy every file manually to the corresponding folder on the phone (note: you cannot copy the whole folder because the files will not copy, easiest way is to go into each folder then right click and select all, then copy).
7. Press 'OK' if prompted.
8. After you copy the files to their folders, disconnect your phone from the PC and restart it. (If the phone has errors or you cant restart, then just pull the battery out, put back in and turn on.)
9. Enjoy!
BlueMOD Features
- Custom Lockscreen.
- Blue system theme.
- Blue status bar icons.

The ring lock can be modified by replacing icons in drawable-mdpi folder of htc lock screen.apk.It worked for me but to make a whole theme look like this takes lot of time and I'm lazy enough to find time for doing one like this.So i'm happy downloading this
Hey guys really sorry the link wasn't working. I'm uploading a new file so link will be fixed within 1 hour

Thanks, I'll try to fix this ASAP.
When I installed this theme the language changes to English in most of the phone. Only few little things stay with the language I was using (in my case it was Portuguese).
Is it a known problem? Is there any way to change it back?
Great job
thanks for this mod..its amazingly blue ! xD
and for those who wanna flash it through recovery rather than copying files
here is the file ..just extract it in the BlueModv1 directory then compress it again to zip..copy it to ur sd-card and flash through recovery

[GUIDE] Changing status bar icons and more (framework-res.apk)

So friends, here is a quick and easy guide for changing the status bar icons of your Gingerbread(Actually any phone )
For those who don't know how to do it(for anyone actually :highfive
Theory
Android is the awesome platform which is easily configurable and is able of being edited very easily
The icons used in every app and Android framework are located as png images in apk of those respective apps in location:-
*.apk/res/drawable-mdpi (in my case, as our phone is mdpi)
So, we can change any icon of our status bar like battery, signal, (not clock[clock is to be configures in SystemUI.apk{will post how to change it shortly}]), etc by editing png's in framework-res.apk
Not even that, you can edit images of any app as I told you
There are several ways to decompile and compile apk in which we have made change
If we want full access of apk and want to change every thing like the xml's in it and smali content in jar files, then we would have to do it on computer by apktool or apkmanager
But, we are here to only change image, so we would not go in detail of apktool or apkmanager. For changing images, that can be very easily done even on the phone by an app NinjaMorph that is made for developers by our senior head and DEVELOPING LEGEND Stephen(Stericson)
But be careful as backing up the original file if you do something wrong
And as you all know any developer or even a newbie posting something interesting that you want to try WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your mobile blowing up, resting in peace, sleeping like a dead, behaving like a non-living BRICK, or anything whatsoever that may or may not happen to phone in this universe or any other universe known or unknown
What to do if anything happened to my mobile
We have had a backup of your original file so we can restore it
But if while editing the system files like framework-res.apk
If you deleted some un-backed up apk's
Well you can always have backup of your ROM and that is why Koushik Datta has made clockworkmod Recovery
You can restore your ROM from there
Pre-Requisites
Patience
Mind
A Android (A spare one if you brick your phone, just kidding)
Root access(to change the apk)
NinjaMorph(http://bit.ly/ninjamorph)
Root Explorer(Optional)(http://bit.ly/stericson)
GUIDE
So Let's Start
Download NinjaMorph. Install it and give it root access. It will prompt for starting checks. Click on start checks.
Now you would have three options, namely, New Project, Finish Project, Existing Project
Click on new project. Go to system/framework/ and click on framework-res.apk. It will start extracting files
Once it has extracted all the files, it will open to show you what is inside framework-res.apk.
Exit it and go to your file explorer.
Go to /sdcard/AndroidThemes/workspace/framework-resapk
This is what is inside apk. Go to res/drawable-mdpi folder
There you will see hundreds of icons of your menu, lockscreen, battery, signal, and everything
You can edit them and replace them as you want. But the name of the file you are replacing and size and dimension must be equal to the file you are replacing with(I recommend Googling and finding icons of battery, signal, and other things)[I have even used hdpi icons, there was no problem]
If you download a theme file which is to be flashed in recovery that is not for your phone, no problem, extract the zip and place its framework-res.apk in your sdcard and extract the apk with Ninjamorph. Replace your icons with its icons and TADA
After you have done replacing the icons and you are satisfied(I am never)
Go to NinjaMorph. Click on Fininsh Projects. Click on framework-resapk. It will recompile and ask to replace the original apk with modded one. Click OK
Then it will ask if you want to remove the completed project, Say No(As you would need it if something gets wrong)
Reboot your phone
Maximum chances are that your icons will be replaced. Rare cases have their status bar gone or no change, if so:-
Download(Buy) Root Explorer. Go to /sdcard/AndroidThemes/workspace,
There you will see framework-res.apk. Copy it and go to /system/framework
Mount as R/W
Paste the apk. If it asks that file already exists, overwrite it.
SET PERMISSIONS
Long click on framework-res.apk and click on permissions
You will see three columns
Read Write Execute
You have to set them in the following way
x means you have to tick it
blank means uncheck
Read Write Execute
.....x........x.................
.....x...........................
.....x...........................
Click OK
You will see it as rw-r--r--
Reboot
Do it over again if nothing happens
Enjoy
This way you can edit not only framework-res.apk but any apk
Treat
This section is different from the thread topic

Want to make your device show Jelly Bean in About Phone
