WALLs Concept
With the development of CHT 2.0 and CHT-Scheduler we have been able to install and save themes as easy as changing wallpapers. However, often the limitation it seems is these themes are set to three panels to fit the background image. Now, with Dunc001's SK-i theme/concept this limitation no longer applies and we can truly theme fully for CHT 2.0. My idea is to begin this idea; start with SK-i and see what happens. I guess this is a theme, but I am hoping for more of a concept - and a hope that others will follow suit! Hope you enjoy!

Before Installing Anything (Prerequisites)
WALLs is based on SK-i. So it goes without saying that you MUST have SK-i installed first. Find SK-i HERE. My cabs are simple and mainly skins (with some altered registry values.) They are not widgets/stand alone applications. So some simple things before installing any of my work:
1- Install SK-i as seen HERE - this is a must. Without this, my cabs will do nothing!
2- BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You can remove my cabs, and the original files are given, however best to back up. I would:
a- Using CHT-S do full Sense backup (always a good idea before installing other stuff...)
b- Using JMWD do a theme backup

Dunc and his background widgets! Rat for his amazing clock. To all the random artists and their icons. And to Anke-Art for his squeaky chalk font. And of course Co0kie and Michel Diamond for CHT and CHTS.

The WALLs
Welcome to WALLs...enjoy!
Before Installing Walls
1- Download the WALLs_v1.zip at the end of the post. This contains everything (available in cab, individual files and even original cabs if uninstalling does not work.)
2- Install "WALLs_Platform_v1.cab" which installs: sidebar icons, freelink dock, softkeys, toggles, page indicators and notification bubbles
3- FYI each cab will a) change the SK-i background widget to a suitable Wall name, b) exchange the appropriate manila file and c) change the registry so the widget's width is 256 and height is 512.
4- Note: Walls are numbered left to right
5- Note: I intentionally left the bottom part (the "wood floor") clear as I tend to swype there with my thumb. But it is ripe for editing!
6- Wallpaper is included in the zip

WALLs 3 and 5: SMS and Email
Idea:The paintings are Mark Rothko. Easily exchanagable. Notice, though, that the email/sms qtc file has been enlarged (simply using more space to give it a framed look) if you change it!
Install: WALL3_5_SMS_Email_v1.cab
Installation:
1- Install WALL3_5_SMS_Email_v1.cab. On Wall 3 add SMS (text) widget and Wall 5 add Email widget. Note: You must have the modified mode9 email modification installed from SK-i (this makes the email image on the home page separate from the tab page) for this cab to work.

WALL 4:
Idea: The main page. Clock, artwork, quick links. Fits what I like. Also very easy to put in a picture of your choosing (art, friends, family, etc.)

2- Add Co0kieMonster's original weather widget or Dunc's weather widget[/url.]
3- Add B&L_Group Weather Widget v.3 by MoonNah with or without Dunc's modification.
4- Using JWMD, exchange WALLs_Weather_icon.png (from the WALLs Icon folder) for your desired weather program (I use Mwunderground) or internet tab (see .

Way to go James - now THAT'S what I'm talking about
BLUE SK-i was always meant to be more of a concept than a theme, something for others to springboard off and use whatever bits they liked. So BIG thumbs up from me, and keep it going!
BTW, does it all switch OK with CHTS? I haven't had a chance to check, and I guess you'd have to find out how to switch the reg values for the backgrounds as well?

nice one man!
I have that red and black rothko on my wall, guess it makes sense that I should have it on my phone too

Only works with CHT 2.0 or will this work with 1.8.5?

thanks, dunc! a big prop to you - much respect putting all this initially together. man that must have been a lot of work!
so for saving - all the registry values save (at least with full sense)! however, the only problem so far is your sidebar icons and calendar link do not save (i also get an error message saying not all widgets are approved by CHTS team - though not sure if is related as i installed a bunch of widget clocks that don't function really!) but minimal stuff in my opinion. overall very smooth to go back and forth...again, nice work!

hmm. i'll start uninstalling widgets and playing around and see here that get's us. have you switched themes with your widgets with all the images transferring? overall i am just glad the registry changes go with....opens up some doors...

I haven't tried switching the backgrounds yet, but the xml's are correct so they should switch qtc's OK, just as long as the reg entries are picked up as well. Does it switch the whole of HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila then? If so then all the relevant reg entries should be picked up. I think for the page switch link png's all I need to do is create a widget CHTS xml for them and list them in there, and then CHTS will pick them up thinking they are part of a widget?

um........................there really isn't a proper font for being stunned speechless....this is wonderful!

the bg qtc ans reg entries switch. not sure about the entire hkcu\software\htc\manila (would make sense, but i haven't edited anything else there. maybe i should change a color reg entry and see what happens.)
the chts xml would be nice; would make it all 100% (as best i see it) switchable.
cheers.

ou´ve showed us in a very nice way how to take further advantage of CHT and Dunc´s enormous effort and achievement with BLUE SK-i

That´s the way I see SK-i, as a base for a lot more to come. There are really quite som very good improvements and additional options. I´m sure they will become "standard" in the near future...
Regarding CHTS switching, there are indeed things that will switch, but others (not included in xmls) wont. At least for now, but I can assure you, that as soon as FulThemSwitch is availabe - will be probably within this week - I´ll be basing my next experiments on SK-i, especially since now James has finished this beatiful and different skin for it

I´ll be checking the reg entries and the associated files to see how it would be best to find a way to include it for switching. I also have some other ideas on how to achieve this

Yes, you could either create a separate xml, or include the png´s in the already existing one. The main issue will be to have a "standard" xml that will work with all kinds of themes. my test xmls are doing that at the moment, but if "new" files are added to the system, these also need to be included

Switching some Reg entries is still a bit difficult, unless done with a workaround. But if you include parts of this required entries within the mode9 files, then switching will be no problem...

thing is with a full sense backup the reg entries are saved (or at least i can switch from WALLs to SK-i and the registry changes too.) how would you incorporate different reg entries into mode9? (or am i off base?) but most all of what you are doing is beyond me, so i'll go with whatever you say! again thanks for the support.

You´re very welcome and very deserved my friend
OK, full sense backup is one thing, and the individual themes another, but in any case, some of the regs are saved and switched.... Regarding switching, SwitchGui does exactly that, it "drops" whatever is in the _CHTS Folder into windows and thus replaces the files there with the ones in _CHTS Folder.
Now, if you have SK-i in one folder AND exactly the same files in the other _CHTS folder, it will do a 100% nice and clean switch. But as long as all these files are not included in the xml, CHTS will not be able to save all the files and thus if you switch to another _CHT Theme/profile with "less" files, the missing files will remain from the previously switched theme/profile. And precisly here is the biggest problem for a "standard" Theme.xml. Over 3.000 Manila files, 4000 other image (bmp, png, gif) files plus dll´s, etc. to decide from which to include...
Atm I´m checking on also beeing able to save and switch all necessary reg entries and changes from a theme or widget so these can be switched too

Muchas gracias for the inspiration
Hola James, I always like coming back to your thread and this theme of yours.
It´s inspiring to see what you did, and watching it over and over again gives me more Ideas on how to "mode" me a different and very personal theme of my own...
Looking at your book shelves again, I realized that by modding the prog icons, or whatever icon I would place on the shelf, to look like an actual "book cover", or making my own office room with modded images for links, etc... I really do thank you very much, because you´ve made me see and be aware of further posibilities behind and beyond Duncs SK-i Theme. Now it seems that imagination is the only limit. Way to go James
As a very famous character in a movie said more then once: "I´ll be back"

i too thought about replacing books on the shelves (and had blank icons for bookends) - inspired from my daughter playing with stickers, i guess! but it became too much too much and i had to step back, i guess. hope to revisit it when i have more time.

[TUT] Modify your E-mail tab (CHT 1.8.5)

First, I have to credit and thank the creators of CHT 1.8.5. Hands down for the masters and thank you for making the HD2 much more enjoyable. Thanks to brent372 for the tip on Total Commander.
Inspirational support (does that exist? Yah, from today on it does) came from snowblindman2142, conantroutman and Paten from the today screen topic.
We are going to tweak this white background and the text:

Prior to editing I would advise you to copy all your manila files from your \window root and save it in a folder in which you do not edit your files. If you mess up or are fed up with your adapted manila files, you can alwas revert to the old ones.
Things we’re going to do:
Extract stuff
Edit stuff
Upload stuff
Programs we’ll need:
Image editing software
CFC GUI (to extract/convert manila files; can also do this with m9editor)
M9editor (to adapt XML-parameters)
Total Commander CE (to place manila files back into your \windows root of your HD2)
These programs are part of the Manila Kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=528548.
Total Commander CE is freeware and can be found at http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm
Extract stuff:
-Backing up files and make a work-file
So let’s say you make a backup file called D:\OML\ and D:\AML\ (original manila list and adapted manila list, respectively). Copy all the manila files from your device you can find . You don’t touch the OML-file EVER unless you want the old file. Instead we are going to use the AML-file in CFC GUI and m9editor. Make an additional folder D:\AML\PNG\ for the edited images.
-Load work list in CFC GUI
Start CFC GUI and click File > Select folder. Select D:\AML\
The program now displays a list of manila files on the left side and scroll down till you find 32820efc_manila. Select and then click on “Save as…” in the lower right corner. Now, save this as 32820efc_manila.png in the D:\AML\PNG\ folder.
Edit stuff:
-Edit your mail background
Basically you need the plain ‘white note’ with the two lines as a template for the upper box (name of the sender, date and subject), body text, and lower box (account name and mailcount). For simplicity’s sake, we just let the position of the text in these boxes in the same place. If you want to, you can change the positions using mode9, but this takes a higher level of extreme geeking.
In this case we use Photoshop CS2 and I use a simple three-bubble layout. I won’t go into much detail about designing your lay-out, just a way to keep the correct boundaries for the texts in those three areas.
Open D:\AML\PNG\32820efc_manila.png and you will see the white note. Let’s put up some horizontal guides:
1. make a new guide and tick horizontal and place them at, say, 2 cm
2 and 3. use the selector tool to move the guides over the lines
Now go frenzy on your design; mine is just dark blue for the top and bottom bubble and a light background for the body text in the middle big bubble.
Save your file with the same name (you can always get the old one from the back-up file) and go back to CFC GUI. Select again 32820efc_manila in the list on the left and now click on “Replace with…” Select your adapted file in the D:\AML\PNG\ folder and you’ll see the background has changed. Hoorah… Now click on “Pad”
Copy this new 32820efc_manila from your D:\AML\ folder to your SD-card of your HD2. Startup Total Commander and copy it to your \windows root folder. Restart your device and you should end up with this:
…but the black characters on a dark background are hard to read, so let’s change the font color.
-Edit your mail font color
To change these parameters we use m9editor. Open it and probably you’ll get an error. Just click “Ok” and when asked for work paths fill in D:\AML\
You’ll see it resembles CFC GUI, but in here you can also edit mode9 files. The parameters we have to change are in 3da9711b_manila so double click on it in the list.
You will see a tree opening in the upper panel. Now expand D:\AML\3da9711b_manila > movie > library manager > library and expand the fifth <character…>
Now take a look in the picture below what we have to change:
If you’re a bit of a programmer the Instance Names give away what object controls which text line so for instance <Property> Name=Instance Name Value=“SenderText” controls the parameters for the name of the sender (selected in picture above). We also have to repeat this for the other four lines (date, subject, account name and mail count)
So let’s change the RGB values for this one to make it more visible. Let’s change this in white and the RGB codes are 255,255,255 for white (look it up on the internet or in Photoshop).
Once you’ve clicked ok, you can move to the next line. When finished editing, save your manila file (you might need to remove your old manila file, since it’s read-only).
As mentioned earlier, copy the D:\AML\3da9711b_manila to your SD card and with Total Commander to your \windows root. Reboot device and your mail now should look like this:
Happy editing!

Can somebody add a delete button or option in the E-Mail Tab menu. That is my only mod I am hoping somebody will find a solution for at the moment.
Like deleting spam without having to open the inbox.

Messages-Geen!
Mail-Green! <--looks soo cool mow
Internet-White (might be down to a cab I use that removes all the bits around the search bar and leaves just the search window)
Calender-Green!
Stocks-Green!
Photos&Videos-Green!
Music-Green untill the album art loads then goes white..
Twitter-Green!
Footprints-Green!
Settings-Green!

This is amazing. Prob the best TUT I have seen on this. I head read some others, but let's face it, not everyone knows how to give instructions.
Questions:
* Is there anything that has a list of all Manila files and what they do?
* Do you know of any other TUTS on Manila mods or Theme Creation? (I have a bunch of Theme Ideas i would love to try
* Any TUTs on editing task bars, soft bars, or quick links? How about Toggle switches
Once again, TY TY TY!
Medievil Mail......
@snowblind.....
I didnt notice that, but I tested all the colours I did and they all do that.....
Either those tabs are affected by a different manila file or I need to add "color" values in somewhere in the file Im using.......

@snowblind.....
I didnt notice that, but I tested all the colours I did and they all do that.....
Either those tabs are affected by a different manila file or I need to add "color" values in somewhere in the file Im using.......
If I figure it out I'll let you know........

Cheers buddy.
Quick question, the font on your medievil mail tab, is that local to the tab or is it all over the phone?

Its all over the phone Im afraid..........
However, from what I saw when I was changing the mode9 file there were things related to fonts. Im hoping that I might be able to assign certain fonts to certain tabs, Im not sure if it would be possible to restrict it to just one tab or if it would have to be on all (except music and internet) of them.......
I have no knowledge of programming at all so looking through those mode9 files means nothing to me, its easy enough to pick out where the colours / fonts / sizes are but I have no idea which part they relate to or where I would need to add in new values to change things.........
Thank you!
Thank you for the tut how to change the font colour. The skining was not my problem but the font colour.
Works fine!

Well here it is, our first attempt at a full theme, right now we are running it on top of and it has been tested on Energy GTX roms 6.5 and 6.5.x as well as his standard cookie.
All parts are working fine on all three devices we build them on , but consider this a phase1 or beta as a complete theme. Reason being is if there is anything you think we should change or any icons that seem to be stock or out of place , we would appreciate the feed back and will be constantly updating it as we find new stuff to add or stuff that people think would look better another way.
Packed so far.
A full Orange Street icon set consisting of 704 sense icon changes. Including all digital clocks and number sets. Slider. Ect
A new action screen.
Wallpapers for the homescreen/ alltabs/ and weather specific wallpapers (we wil lshow you how to use these later.
Coming soon.
A fully OrangeStreet skinned Advanced End Key running via Mr Kurt Willems
A whole bunch of cool stuff designed to work with the latest CHT build
All in all its a fun build with some neat stuff.. so take it , break it, cut it into pieces, use what youd like and toss the rest.. and if you want something fixed or a new icon built, just point it out and one of us will build it or fix it for you asap, those of you who speak manila fluently, let us know the file name and it will be editted quicker.
If you modify or change this in anyway or cook it into anything all we ask is a head nod our direction and a post on this thread letting us know.

Its part of ENERGYs rom.. we just repainted it.. i found it as a standalone but i dont remember where.
Well done;
Nice work sir; and I'm totally agree with optiknerv; The skin what you have done on the HTC messaging window is cool.
PayPal buttons aren't so difficult to introduce; just don't make use of the HTLM code; it will not work.

Looks Really good.
Congratulations with the theme
Sure looks sweet and fresh.

Great! Great! Great!
The weather wallpapers files are portrait and landscape weather wallpapers set to this theme. .but they are designed to be ran on a lua script we have that is in a beta program we are playing with.. we will be the first to show you how to use them as soon as the beta goes green..
The weather icons are part of the icon pack.. but if some people want just the sun and moon ill gladly post a manila cab with just our weather icons.

As the messaging setup is cooked into the ROM im afraid neither of us have much knowledge of how to get it working.
Perhaps the original creator might be able to help you in getting it to work on a different build.....
NRGZ does off the cab for htc messaging as an add on in his rom thread so it might be worth trying that cab by itself, I dont know if its specifically designed to work on his ROMS though.........
Sorry we cant be of more help......

Changing layouts via CHTS

Ok so we've all heard the news about CHT2.0 and all its great new features.....
Far and away the best new thing for me is the beast that is Micheldiamond's CHTS....
(If you dont know what Im talking about then check here)
What Im so excited about is that if you kill sense through too much tweaking ( ive lost count of how many times) you can get back to where you were before the crash in a matter of minutes........ its literaly a manila safety net...
It also gives theme makers the ability to dump a whole CHT theme / layout in such a way that it can be implemented in a much easier way than installing numerous cabs and individual tweaks.......
The point of this thread is to see how dumping a layout and applying it to someone elses device works....
This is mainly aimed @ miller710 who kindly agreed to help me test this but I figured Id post it in the forum for anyone who wasnt aware of this great new feature........
Ok on to buisness........
If you'd like to test out how this works then please follow the steps below and let me know how it works for you.....
This is not a release of a theme, its more of an "experiment en mass" with this new feature........
I've attached the layout I posted in the today screen thread here
If your not yet familiar with CHTS I'd recommend that you spend some time playing around and getting used to it first........
First of all, make sure you have CHT Scheduler installed and your baseline saved.........
Save any layout your currently using and check that it all works as it should by saving it.......loading your baseline then reapplying your saved layout....
If it all comes back in all the right places then we are good to go......
Unzip the folder Ive attached and then put the whole folder thats inside into storage card/_CHTScheduler.....
You should see your saved layouts and baseline already in there......
Once its in go for a soft reset.....
then when you go back into CHTS switch gui and try to change layout you should have "black n blue rss" as an option....
Try changing to that layout and let me know what happens......
You should end up with something like the screenshots...............
It wont change your icons, if your using dinik icons you will still have dinik icons..... if your using stock they should still be stock.....
You will not get the "blue tape" digital clock (because my lua skills arent up to scratch yet )
However you should have the wallpaper, widgets and quicklinks and blue soft keys in all the right places
There shouldnt be any serious consequences to this..... if something does go wrong you can restore you baseline/old layout........ however as always you do this at your own risk.....
Worked. However there are some broken links I think this if for programs that you have that I do not. I will post some before after screens in a few minutes.
Hey Troutman! First out there with a trial layout for CHTS (how long before you and Mob release the orange street theme as a zip for this... )
It seems to work fine (once I'd realised that you had to go in one folder once unzipped to find the one names CHTS_blah blah blah and copy THAT one to the CHTScheduler folder in Storage Card!). I'm assuming it won't look exactly like your screenshots - my layout has retained my clock/weather choice on the central screen and the RSS widget is above the clock, not below like in your screenshot. Also I have lots of missing quicklinks
I agree that CHTS is just as amazing as CHT itself - there has been a massive amount of work by MD - it has already replaced Phoneweaver on my phone for automatic connection and sound profiling. I'm just waiting for your orange theme, buff and GTX to be released in this format and I'll be away!
Just been switching back to my baseline as I've been typing and I still have all your quicklinks and none of my free links - hey ho, guess there's still some work to do...
See you back at the Dev group! Love the weather wallpapers you've done for the lockscreen - where can I get the full set?

DOH! should have though of that......
I should have saved a version with empty quicklinks,,, except for apps that come as stock..... opera etc......
Once I figure out how to do an xml for the layout i should be able to cancel out any links that point to apps other people might not have........
So it really is as easy as that........
Good to know....... thanks man!
I also had the problem when I switched back to my baseline. I lost my free links. The wierd thing is that when I loaded your theme, I got the custome cht toggles you used on ur theme. And when I switched back I got the old standard icons. So this seems to be a transferable item as well.
Then after looking it over I noticed that the custom cht softkeys also change with the theme loadout. apparently that is also something that can be transfered.

Hey Dunc, wasnt really intending it as a release, more an experiment and some shameless promotion for CHTS (not that it needs it )...
I think if your swipe up you'll get the rss in the same position as the screenshot..... i didnt post every page on every level....
and the digi clock will be missing because I cant get my standalone widgets to work....... unless you want to kill sense then they're great..... lol
The quicklinks thing was a stupid error on my part, obviously any proper theme releases will come as default with empty link.... I was just rushing to post before the missus gets home........
Not long for Orangestreet..... just need to hammer out the xml... I think thats the missing link.....
Not sure why your baseline would be affected......
Mine has always been rock solid...... If I thought that peoples "safety net" would be jeopardised then I would have held off on posting this because obviously I dont wanna cause people to have to go through a whole set up process again so sorry about that
Appreciate the feedback man thanks again

Yep, toggles will go across too.....
If I was using custom state indicators they'd show as well.....
As I said to Dunc, Sorry about your baseline....
Was it just the freelinks you were missing or did you still have the regular quicklinks too??
@Dunc001
Forgot to answer your question about the weather walls......
I cant take any credit for those, they're all mob's work...... they were in the dropbox in the chts folder...
If they're no longer there then let me or mob know and we'll post them somewhere for you.......
The glass circle softkeys are before. the Blue softkeys are after. Mind you this is after doing it for a second time so both sets of pics have your free links and quick links. When I reverted back to baseline it kept your icon layout just changed everything else back.

No worries man. I have been playing around with it alot any ways. What I can't figure out is why CHT occationaly just moves links around. I also have problems with the icons changing randomly for no reason at all. Any idea?

Cant say Ive ever experienced that....
Maybe CHTS is set to switch profiles at certain times??
Ive linked MD( genius behind CHTS) to this thread so hopefully he can shed some light on this.....
Edit;
GRRR just realised I missed my 1000 post milestone..... lol
wanted to use it for something ridiculous in off topic........... oh well guess i'll just have to wait for 2000
Amazing!
For the quicklinks thing: I have a solution - will be in next fixed version, should be better then:
- It deletes the "old" quicklinks instead of overwriting, so there is no "mixing"
- you can disable quicklink switching with Layout switching in the settings.
Then let's have a look, if this is enough or if we need something more.
Great work, conan - I luv this style of your themes! But that you already know (Congrats to your 1000+, too *g* )
Micha
thanks md, probably best to leave out the quicklinks in the meantime...
I guess people are going too want to set their own links anyway...
is this the best way to share a theme between two devices, by placing the layout folder into the chts folder of another device? or is there a better way....
ha ha thanks for the congrats... it will soon be 2000 at this rate...

oh, overseen your answer, but with new CHTS 2.02 all the quicklink things, which are mentioned above, are soluted.
So Quicklinks are switching now also if they have different designs.
only the randomly moving quicklinks needs also a fix in CHT itself, but meanwhile it's counteracted as good as possible with CHTS, too.
And yes, simply placing and copying the Layout-subfolder is the intended easy sharing or saving of a Layout. CHTS automatically recognizes the new CHT-Layout (indifferent if by .zip or .cab installed) and can be assigned to any profile by the user. mmh...I think that you already know but perhaps some others not.
Thanx for your inputs!

Thanks Michel,
I think all the issues with the quicklinks are sorted now
Any layout I post will have only have empty quicklinks by default, obviously each user is going to want different programs in different places.
I'll still be setting the location of the link and if they want to re-arrange then thats up to them..........

For help, advice and encouragement.
Pakure, for his veryhelpful feedback regarding these layouts.
And of course Co0kiemonster, mike2nl, micheldiamond and everyone else behind the CHT Suite.
There are two ways to add this layout to your device......
CAB install MUST BE INSTALLED TO SD CARD
This will create a folder called "wallpapers" at the root of your SD card.
If you already have a folder with that name the walls will be added there.
When you change layout the walls will automatically change (hopefully )....
"Drag n Drop Method"
1 - Extract the zip file and place the folder inside on your SD card in the folder " _CHTScheduler".
2 - Create a folder at the root of your SD card called "wallpapers" and place the orange street walls in that folder
3 - Switch to the layout via CHTSwitchGui.........
IMPORTANT
For users with Non-English ROMS
Please note: The cab will only work on a WWE ROM due to the installation path....
If you would like to install on a non english ROM then please follow the "drag n drop" instructions above
or let me know the language you need it for and I will try to create one for your language........
Please Note - Previous modifications to your email/sms widgets will persist after installing this layout. You will also need to skin the taskbar/softkeybar via CHTWall.....
With that out of the way I present to you the first of my layouts for CHTScheduler.......Orange Street........
This is of course just a slimmed down CHTS version of the Orange Street theme by M0bmentality and myself,

Can provide a cab to change the RSS feed text to blue but it will persist after switching layouts so I just left it out.......

Got Wood?
Thanks to santod040 for the very nice wallpaper
Download Zip
No cab for this one, couldnt get it working. Seemed to crash sense.
Zip works fine though, copy the folder inside to "Storage Card\_CHTScheduler" as usual, use the walls if you want.
Enjoy.

This one was made for personal use more than anything
but I figured someone might get some use out of it..........
Might be useful as a blank canvas, just fill in the white with
your choice of colour and throw the files back onto your device.......
voila CHT in whatever colour you like....
I missed GTX so I decided to go all white........
**Important**
If you want the white RSS Reader then use the cab in the zip file. You MUST uninstall the previous cht rss reader you have. This is a must or sense will throw a tantrum........
Download Zip + Walls + White Rss reader
NIN fans will recognise this...........
Usual rules apply........

Nasty Line In Your Flip Clock??
You need these........ (You can thank Degake )
Boot Screens Etc.........
Thanks to MadrauM and his awesome boot package I was inspired to make one of my own.
Figured I'd just post it here instead of spamming up the forum with another thread. If anyone has any requests for boot screens etc I'll try and find time to make them for you.
Thanks also to samsamuel for his tutorial on splash screens
First splash (where the RGD info shows)
Boot Animation
Welcomehead
To Install
The first splash has to be flashed to the device; follow these steps
1 - Unzip handdrawnsplash.bmp.rar to a folder on your desktop
2 - Connect you phone via activesync
3 - Run the CustomRuu that was in the zip
4 - Follow the on screen instructions
Dont worry no data wil be deleted from your device
The boot animation should be placed in your windows folder on device memory.
Rename to either "animated" or "LEO_animated"
(depends on device, check your windows folder to see which one you already have there)
The welcomehead is the same.
May need to be named either "welcomehead192" or "well"
For Future Layouts........

Didnt want to keep you waiting any longer.....
yes, looks great, good email (blue) coloured widget, but an orange one would have been even nicer,
.......noticed that all previous quicklinks are gone, no overlapping from my original layout
.......the white wallpaper in tabs makes the text in mails, messages and calender unreadable (i havent changed the colour/ font of text yet)
.......yes, you mapped the cht soft keys perfect with the first one for home, instead of the middle default one
......all in all, a great step forward for chts layouts...success!!
now going for icons to match...i know, i can catch some from your original thread....but is there a way, we can also save icons to layouts, because you need to keep changing them back and forth to match with layouts, may be will see jmwd icon manager...remember seeing some option to save something...will post back
have a "wallpapers" folder already on sd card, but a new one was created with your walls
got a blue circular analog clock...not the square orange one from your screenshots (solved: orange one is the main clock)
didnot yet get the lockscreen...mmm, do i need to soft reset?.(solved: sorry, my bad........disabled cht lockscreen )..
on 3.14wwe(india), radio 2.15, cht 2.0beta+ chtstate 108f, chte and chts 2.10

ahhh ok, looks like I forgot a few things.....
blue clock and mail/sms widget is a leftover from another layout of mine because I didnt skin it for this one.... will post a fix for that in a short while...
the square analog clock is the standard sense analogue not the cht widget.
unreadable text because of the white wallpaper is because I keep my text black all the time......
About the wallpaper folder, im not sure why that happened, it didnt in my test. Will investigate the cab.....
Thankyou very much for the feedback, very helpful.....
will post files to get rid of the nasty clock and blue widgets soon.....
There is currently no way to save icons through CHTS but JWMD icon chsanger has the options to save an icon theme and switch between them quickly...
Thanks again
Thanks my friend
Bravo troutman for opening this long overdue thread for CHTS layouts. Let's hope many more themers start using the CHTS folder option as it will make life way easier for lazy ****s like me

hmmmm that's not good
I dont understand why that's happening because my widgets are not appearing like that.
do they go back to normal when you uninstall the cab??
or change to another layout?

no you dont need to, I was just curious if uninstalling my cab would change your widgets back to normal.
If you baseline is ok then thats the important thing.
The weird thing is that ive been through the cab and those files dont seem to be in there.....
im very confused.
would you be able to post a screnshot of the messed up widgets?

ok, that makes more sense, that email/sms is not mine, must be leftovers of a previous layout you have had before.
thankyou for that pakure, I can sleep easy now
Updated the cab and zip file;
Fixed the standalone analogue clock
Fixed HD Mini lock screen
Please uninstall - soft reset - install updated cab folder.
New layout coming soon........ with less bugs this time.... (hopefully)

CHT widget B&L_Group Animation Widget

CHT widget B&L_Group Animation Widget
Description: New widget - Animation. The principle is simple folder put a bunch of equally-sized pictures (preferably not more than 20 and not horse-sized (enough for 100 * 100)) and in a certain place the widget you will see endless cartoon.
All images are stored in Program Files \ BL_Group_Animation, and have the template name BL_Group_AW_ (three-digit number with leading zeros pictures). Png. This means that if you have the first frame of his room in the name of the tether will be 001, but if the tenth is 010. Before replacing the images would recommend to disable the widget from the table, remove the old pictures, upload their pictures (their number may not coincide with mine), add the widget to the table with the will recount the images in the folder and will start your animation. In the CAB today is a dancing rabbit, the symbol 2011.
I want to note that the picture turns Manila and because a similar rate of gif files will not be able to achieve.
There is an opportunity to move, resize, and dock.
Compatible with other widgets.

Now we're talkin!!!!
Another nice one.
This should get some creative juices flowing!!!
Wow^^ trying right now
.....mmmh I got massive problems with it I installed your cab to my device memory. But when I put it on my homescreen and soft reset like it suggested my homescreen was kind of destroyed. the taskbar and the old softkeybar is displayed ( the one with Phone and contacts) but the homescreen is black. I cant get to settings to deinstall it and not a single other thing. I cant remove it from the homescreen, because it seems my device isnt using CHT2 at the moment
would be glad if you could help me fast.
I cant really provide system information, because I cant get them to be displayed. The only thing I can say, is that I am using elegancia rom
Edit:
well got my homescreen back due to reinstalling and just softreseting after the deinstallation:
OS : 5.2.21916 (21916.5.0.95)
Manila : 2.5.20181424.0
Rom: Elegancia V 5.0 Final WWE
Radio 2.07.50.27_2
Hmm, working just fine here.
Thanks again for your efforts to get this out.
No problems here also.
Thanx for this nice widget, it's fun
Moonah, you are a madman
Is there a way of altering the frame speed? If so this could be really easily adapted to be a slideshow widget - just place images for slideshow in the folder, name correctly, set frame speed to 5 seconds or so and voila, digital slideshow
Happy Holidays
Install Animation Widget HERE from MoonNah first.
Extract to: Program Files\BL_Group_Animation

I use png files, and there is no compression plays a role, but why not see this question because this widget is easiest as ABC
might be something with the mode 9 file or the lua, or the xml file sry I dont know. the functionality might be simple, but i am way to stupid to solve this problem. I had an issue with poyensas typoclock too. but version 3 worked perfectly

Can you check in your registry and see which widget slot it is installing to (HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila and scroll down to CHTI.AddonWidget.Slot...) If it is slot 10 and you have not applied the 20 slot widget fix then this might be your problem.
