[Q] Did I make a mistake? - HTC Inspire 4G

Rooted the phone and updated to the latest ROM.
I seem to recall a voice dial app before I applied the latest ROM.
It seems to be gone.
Is there a way to get it back?

Voice Search replaced it, it's on the Market

Thanks given. Got it semi-working.

[Q] Updated to Froyo on Vibrant

So I updated to Froyo (the "hacked" version from on these forums) from stock 2.1 so I am now running Froyo.UVJK2- Kernel- 2.6.32.9. I am also rooted. I literally downloaded it on a HP dragged it into the Vibrant and then went thru clockwork and had it install from there. My problem comes in because I've had a few issues since that though and after tons of research I have come up with nothing. Basically, I have no haptic feedback with my Android keyboard even though its checked off in settings, my messaging app sometimes opens to the last thing i was doing such as internet page or email, etc., one of my apps won't stay where i put it even though i save it to that spot - itll save on page 7 but when i restart the phone its back on page 1, I am not receiving voicemail notifications at all (huge issue since ive had a bunch of people complain), and sometimes when i am on wifi calling i don't receive notification that i got a text.
Also would i be able to receive an OTA from t-mobile even though i have this version and my phone is rooted?
Thanks, any info helps and please try to be explanatory- i'm new to this (sorry)... also if there is any apps that i can install to help with the problems i'm open to them BUT i rather hear a fix.

Voice Dialing

I'm running the Revolution ROM (works great) but I lost the Voice Dialing app when I got away from stock.
Any way to get that back ? I don't see it in the marketplace.
If I am not mistaking I believe Mike said he is going to put it back into his next release.

[MOD] Bluetooth Voice Dialer - Compatible With Any Rom

All credit goes the great mike1986. as this was taken from his thread.
Thanks to him Ive successfully been able to fix the bluetooth voice earpiece feature that was not working on the Rom in the signature.
Ive flashed my share of Froyo Roms and it seems that a lot of them have the same problem as well as some Gingerbread maybe.
The idea is to push the call/end button on your bluetooth connected earpiece to do various call related features without having to grab your phone, its all controlled via voice command.
Many people have been looking for a fix for this.. well here it is.
Directions:
Flash via CWM, reboot and you should have the feature fully functional.

Additionally here is a video on the Voice Actions for Android, NOTE: This is different from the Bluetooth Voice Dialer as it has additional features

Wow, this is fantastic. I was following the info posted in that AR 3.2 thread, so I'm happy to see something posted.
I'll give this a try tonight.

I'm running RCMix 5.3 and the BT voice dialer works alright for me. Do I need this fix? The one thing I'd really like from the current ROM for BT voice dialing is to have a tone to cue me when the applet is ready to listen.

I am running AR 5.1.3. Voice dial works fine from the phone but when I try to initiate it from my bluetooth headset I get a Force Close of processcom.android.voicedialer. I uninstalled voice dialer with TB and then installed the bluetooth voice dialer from this thread via CWM and I still get the force close when initiating from my bluetooth.
Any ideas on how I can fix this other than flashing a new rom?
Okay I just flashed to LeeDroid which claims to have fixed the Bluetooth Voice Dial Problem and I still get a force close when initiating it from my headset.
Anyone have any ideas please????
Wow this is cool to have. Im not having much accuracy though. Ive got a 2 year old Jawbone Prime so my bets are that its the problem. Looks cool but hasnt played nice since day one. Anyhow this does work if you got a decent headset
Did you ever figure this out?

I'm having the same problem and would really like to see this fixed. When I tap the voice dialer app on the phone, it works as it should. However, it always FC when pressing the bluetooth button. I think the settings file associated with connecting the bluetooth button to the app is the problem, but I don't know what file it is or how to make it better.

Download Cyberon Voice from the market. It does cost a couple of bucks but it makes all problem go away on every rom you need BT with. At least for me it did!
Confirmed working with Virtuous Unity 1.24.0 Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid with Vlingo
Man just what I was looking for will give it a try.....Thanks

missing voice dialer
I tried to flash it, and it didn't do anything. I'm using Virtuous Unity v1.27.0. I even tried to extract the app from the zip (which currently doesn't exist on my phone) and install that way, but it says "application not installed". Nothing happens at all when i hit the button on my bluetooth. With the stock rom, before installing VU, it would pull up the voice dialer. But i can't even install it now. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
EDIT: Got it to install, but now it force closes when I try to use it, with or without a bluetooth headset.
awesome!!!!!
I'm running AHD 6.1 but it lacks the ability to let bluetooth headset to do voice command. but after i flashed this it worked out fine!!
and btw im using vlingo to do voice dialing, its an awesome app!!

Will this work with Gingerbread ROMs? mike1986's current DHD/Inspire4G ROM does not support voice dialing via bluetooth. Kind of a pain in the rear not having it!

The post before yours says they're running "AHD" 6.1 with this dialer and it works fine. I'm assuming this was supposed to be ARHD 6.1 which is a GB ROM

Yeah, I wasn't clear. I figured it would work since it worked on the one before, but I wasn't sure if the previous post was confirming 6.1.0 or 6.1.1. So, I'm hoping for 6.1.1 support confirmation so I don't brick this puppy.

6.1.0 was the first version of his new base (2.3.5GB based on HTC 3.06.405.1)
6.1.1 is the same base with updates/enhancements from mike1986. I can't imagine this would bork you. If you're too worried, make a backup. This isn't going to brick your phone to a point where you can't get to recovery and flash your backup

Right. That was my assumption and my plan once I got home tonight to do that assuming no-one confirmed it for me. Will flash after while and edit post with results.
I flashed this to arhd 6.1.1. It don't work. App did not appear to be installed. I tried installing the apk and it would just say application not installed.
So it appears to be a no go.

What happened to the voice dialer?

Hello Everyone,
Searched here, googled a bit and even spammed HTC's wall. No joy. What happened to the voice dialer? I installed ICS OTA update a few weeks ago and I noticed it was missing after getting into the car and being unable to dial a number using my bluetooth.
So what gives? Why did they get rid of the dialer and simultaneously make my bluetooth speaker useless?
Thanks.

go to market and download it or tts
It's not available for download.
So any other thoughts?
I guess no one uses voice dialing in their car?
Here is a quick and dirty flash package I put together on my phone for you. It will say it's installing EQS for my rom, but it will install voice dialer pulled from CM9. Voice search will perform dial functions as well...
This is unsigned so you may have to disable signature verification in recovery...
Thanks man. Ill give it a shot tonight.
I wonder why they canned it.

It didnt work. Upon selecting the number to dial it would say "Unfortunately, Voice Dialer Has Stopped".
However, some googling lead me to this one. After me saying Call XXXXXX it shows me the name I asked for and whatever number, mobile or home, I can select it and it dials. However, it does not say "Speak Now". So I installed Android Speech Synthesis from the play store and upon opening that, it crashes.

More testing.
With my bluetooth speaker connected it will start voice dialer and ask for instructions. I say who I want to dial and it dials. Awesome. However, it does it only once. After ending the fist call and initiating another the phone will just sit with the dialer hanging on "starting up". I need to reboot the phone to make another call using the dialer.
Why is this so god damn difficult.
Any luck yet?

Have you come up with a fix yet?
I downloaded the voice dialer APK, but all I get is "Unfortunately, Voice Dialer has stopped. OK."
Well, it is not OK.

[Q] T-Mo Visual VM won't playback on CM12

Does anyone have T-Mobile Visual Voicemail working after upgrading to CM12S?
On release 0YL, VVM works (no FC), downloads message but I can't get it to play. The arrow play icon > changes but the message never plays. The time counter stays on 0.
I upgraded to release 17L and the problem still exists.
If anyone using T-Mobile can confirm they can get visual voicemail to playback, I'll look elsewhere. But curious if it's just me or the VVM app needs to be upgraded for 5.0.2
ditto for me
Same here. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still no go.
Not that it will get a result but I sent the issue to T-Mo's Google Play support.
Updated CM to S2I3 VVM still doesn't work.
Got an update for T-Mo VVW ver. 5.10.0.50866 and VVW still won't play back.
Anyone else confirm the new VVW app doesn't play back on CM12 S2I3?
Found the problem. You have to shut off NuPlayer.
It's under Settings/Developer options.
I confirm VVM will then play back.
