now the Samsung Galaxy launched this week and a few person had an device yet.
Is it possible to inlcude this Device to this Forum??

so there won´t be a section for any other devices!
This is the point of view from the Admins wich I support.

until now I didn't know that this is a HTC-only forum, and because of the Xperia and the other two android phones (yes they are HTC...) I thought the galaxy would fit.

Please dont judge all us old timers the same, i promise we're not all like that!
Whilst it is indeed a HTC specific forum for whatever reason, you will find that you will be able to get any device support as we all run the same apps and the same operating system. So, please do stay and ask O/S or general application specific questions I run an Acer M900 and an Omnia and i'm still here!
As for where you will get your roms etc, i'm afraid you will have to use google again.

can we please have the opinion of the admins too?
I think this terminal is very well build and very nice to look at. Developers in here in the end are working with the software part, developing the platform, which makes less important the hw part.
I too would like to see a i7500 subforum.. maybe open a poll to see the opinion of all developers?

If money is the problem, maybe interested people could sponsor non-HTC sections? I'd certainly donate. It would be great to hear from an admin how much we're talking about (roughly).

As I said before I think the developers are working IN THIS CASE with a PLATFORM not with the hardware.. where the transition from one terminal to another I think would be quite easy

I would also be interested to Donate for the development of more phones. I recently have a Samsung Galaxy. Before I had 2 WinMo Devices and pherhaps the Next will be a Maemo or a WinMo again .... Thats why it would be a great Idea to Donate to get in Sub Forums like Samsung I7500, Asus etc.

Build.Prop Thread??

Ok So there was a thread somewhere here in the Sensation section that had a whole long list of build.prop edits and stuff. It appered to have been taken from a Samsung Galaxy S forums. I cant seem to find the tread anymore I've seached all over the place for it and coming up fruitless. I need it for the hacks it had that sped up data and saved a bit of battery life they worked very well but since I flashed a new ROM I've lost them Any help locating this thead would be much appreciated. I don't understand what happened to it. Unless I'm blind....

Close that one doens't have the right changes for the internet since it's a CDMA phone instead of GSM. That had some of what I as looking for though. There was one here in the Sensation forums though that seemed taken from the galaxy or maybe DInc forums. It had some weird title seemed to be the persons username that orginally posted it.

I think from memory you are referring to master&slave. They had a whole list.

Yup that looks like the same exact list actually so that will work! Thanks very much I'll be sure to hit the button whe I get home and am using a real web browser not this IE6 crap I have to deal with at work

Best pro Keyboard and why?

Can any one suggest me the best pro keyboard (paid) in the market. why do you think so.

Sorry, I voted without specifically noting 'in the market'. I think Swype is the best, tho thats not in the market as I recall.
Iv always enjoyed Swype. You either like the slidey thing or you dont, and I do. Amongst the slidey keyboards Swype always seemed the most forgiving with the best predictions.
If I wasnt using a slidey one though Id stick to either the HTC or the default android. None of the others add anything worth the cost.

Smart keyboard pro been using it over a year now on every of my device and its working as it should
Swiftkey is good for predictions but not so fast ...

To see which ONE X users are moving on to the S3 or the potential One X owners are deciding,
I myself have been monitoring both forums and reading for any issues, roms etc.
I'm asking One X owners what they think if they are jumping the bandwagon or not,
So for anyone who has the one x or thinking of it, click yes, for anyone who has a one x or thinking of getting a one x now deciding they want a s3 then tick S3!!

chill cowboy. just telling you where you went wrong. if you going to ask this kinda question just do it in the right forum that is all. and you could of added the poll in the other thread instead of having two you need to take a chill pill...and most will say one x here and if you asked on the s3 side people would of said the same for their baby...anyways good luck with your thread

suppose so like, both 2 good quality phones but have heard s3 looks like cheap horrible plastic, regardless of how powerful the device is quality should always be a main factor !!

well samsung looks cheap plastic device since, always.. i love my htc's feels in my hand since desire hd and now sensation..

Using the wide-angle camera with 3rd party apps

I can't seem to find any switch or setting that lets me switch to the secondary wide-angle camera when using 3rd party apps such as Whatsapp and Skype. Does anyone know how one can get it to work? The tiny overlay that pops up in the bottom-right of the screen only has a "Settings" icon (where the wide-angle option is missing) and a slider for the camera motor.

I think that is down to the app makers supporting it..? Or is this possible in any other phone?

The Galaxy S10+ apparently lets you cycle through the different cameras. I also found a bunch of reddit mentions on how it can be done with a few other phones.
Am I mistaken or are you the user "_jis_" on the swedroid.se forums? If so, perhaps you could ask the ASUS representative there?

Ah, nevermind then I've been keeping an eye on this swedish Android forum where an Asus representative posts fairly regularly. I've seen a user post (or quote) a bunch of things you'd posted in the AMA thread, which led me to wonder if you were the same person.
Guess I'll need to create an account and post the question myself.

Ah, my mistake Thank you for posting the question. Yeah, it's a pity that it's not a priority for the dev team currently. I was looking forward to using the wide-angle lens for video chatting. In any event, I'll keepo my fingers crossed.
