Hehe problem solved now I enjoy my headset

which and wear did you get it?

I ended up buying the samsung's stock headset. I think the solution would be the samsung official adapter and a 3.5mm headset

If you still would like to have Sennheiser you can get the MM-50 Nokia
They work, answering calls also works in a word it works like a stock headset but the sound is better (imho)
regards

well im looking for something i ca n get at my local best buy. I still have he samsung opens and they are sealed. I just hate using then as they start to hurt my ears

I'm using the MW600 with Sennheiser CX300 headphones.
Works well.

I use my CX300-II without any adapter. With the Hardcore Speedmod kernel I'm able to use the phone's mic to speak.

those dont look like they have a mic, i found 2 at bestbuy Bose MIE2 and Monster's Mobile JAMZ but yes you gotta shell out $149
I think i will have to shell out 20 bucks for this and use my skullcanandy mic'd

How do you manage the wire when you are not using it?
Wrap it around the phone?

SteelSeries Siberia Neckband should work with the Galaxy S standard? or do you need a Iphone converter as wel. I love the sound on those headphones, but I am kindof a bassaddict. Any thoughts on this?

+1 MW600 plus your choice of headphones.

If you would like to opt for headphones from a well-established and pioneer company, then the best option you have is to search for them online as that may help you to compare and get the best features which you are looking suitable to your needs. So, search for the headphones online.

Hi guys... Just thought I'd throw my bit in. If your after a decent bluetooth headset I recommend a set "Arctic Cooling" P311. I have had these for about a month now and they are great.
Mic in earpiece does a good job and sound quality is 4.5 out of 5. Only thing is using bluetooth doesn't allow me to use voodoo sound which would be a plus (need to plug in jack). I have made numerous phone calls with them and the people on the other end have no trouble at all hearing me. Thay also wrap around the back of your head and i have been jogging with them as well. So all round decent headset with all the features you need. God I sound like I'm pitching for them lol....... Anyways they go for about $45 buck and can get straight from their website.

I used it on my hero and loved it, have not installed it to my evo. The app writes to /system, something that is impossible to do at the moment. So we have to wait this one out.

awesome, thanks
toasts doesn't have write access to /system?
little more on this is that it may take a kernel rewrite to get it going. Thats the only way they got it working on the Nexus and it seems our files are similar to theirs. So once we get source I'll defly be looking into that!
Really? The EVO's ring isnt loud enough for you? I was very satisfied.
Really..
Frankly for me the volume has sucked in every HTC phone I have used IMHO. I mean its not horrible or unusable for me or anything..I would like what the max is now to be about the middle..My notifications mostly is what I would like louder.
The speaker phone isnt that great either but ive used HTC phones long enough to be used to it.
Bump. I would really appreciate more info on this, the alarm tones are not loud enough to wake me up. Thanks.

No ROM has write access to /system from within Android. Currently, the only way to do that is through toast's custom recovery.

I've found the audio quality to suck on the EVO... there is a big difference in audio quality between the EVO and the iPhone... it just sounds flat to me. And even with the volumne all the way up it was barely loud enough to hear over a lawn mower.

I have full root (Yay Toast!!) now so I tried volume hack 3.6. I backed up my stock files first and then tried the 3.6 + everything mode, but it doesn't seem to work...unless the difference is not that dramatic. I also tried the 3.3 files, but same thing.
Anyway, the app indicates it doesn't work on the Nexus and several others so maybe the Evo is included in that. Give a try and let me know if it works for you.
Crap I hope someone works this out. The fm app is really low when on speaker
Retracted.... Headphones didn't work either. Bummer.
Um...wow, this worked awesome for the headphones! Three bars up from mute is about the same as stock at max.

GPS Navigation with Bluetooth headset

I have CM7 RC1.
I would like to use a Bluetooth headset (probably A2DP) to
1) make/receive phone calls
2) navigate with TTS instructions from GPS programs such as
a) TeleNav Navigation
b) CoPilot
c) Google Navigation
3) Use powerAmp to hear to stereo music while working out (optional)
If I can find a headset that can do both 1 and 2 I'll be more than happy
I want to use CM7 though I don't want to lose overclocking capability and the cool CM7 software
Thanks a lot I don't want to spend hundreds in testing products
Yesterday I bought Motorola SD-10 or something like that is a stupidly bad item

Right now A2DP is not working with CM7. I hear it works with EB though, maybe try that ROM for a while?
App: SuperBT Mono Froyo- free or paid with widget.
Kind regards
gandalf
I haven't been able to get super bt mono to work on my g2x. I've used it on all of my other phones as I use it to listen to podcasts at work and I need one ear open to listen for cars, dogs, and crackheads. I've tried an a2dp headset (jabra stone2) but it has awful battery life. 1 hour compared to 9 with just a regular headset. Has anyone found a a workaround or an a2dp with great battery life? BTW I am stock at the moment.
Also, what is with the headset Jack? I tried using one with a Michael that was bundled with a cheap Nokia and it didn't work..... anyone have any recommendations for a corded headset preferably mono?

Hello !
It is strange with super froyo-there are many Force close on my devices.- but it works.-With my new Headphone- the jabra stone2 it works without the super froyo app - I don´t know why the other - plantronics 925 and jabra supreme didn´t work. ( onla with super froyo)
-The battery life of the stone is not very good- but i like the whole rest of it.
kind regards
GANDALF
Yes the stone 2 is a2dp (it is for stereo Bluetooth). I manage to get maybe an hour and 15 minutes or so. How about you?

[Q] Need Another Earphone...

Hi Everyone,
I have been using SGS for over 9 months now. And i dont find the earphone to be too flexible. I was using the N73 before and the earphone was not good in sound quality but did have some cool features. I expected the SGS (being more expensive and a nice smartphone) to have the same capabilities as that one. The N73 headset could receive calls and also change music like skip to the next track or go to the previous track and start and stop music and increase decrease volume. I becomes a pain when you have to take out the phone and change the song or increase/decrease the volume. Plus cant receive the calls as well with the headset!
Are there any headphone made for SGS in which i can get all these features? Please advice!
No intention of highjacking this thread but have the same query. Been using sgs past 2months

I would but that link is a bit off. It talks mostly of headphones. And the purpose of the thread is mainly music, whereas mine isn't solely music oriented, it more to do with flexibility.

Working Headsets with microphone?.....

Im using some skullcandy aviators and it has a mic on it (I believe) but the bigger issues for me is that the buttons for volume and song control don't work do you guys know of any headsets with mics that work. I just hate having to hold my phone in my hand if im moving around, listening to music, then get a call so that I can talk through the speaker on the phone. Any help would be appreciated.

I seen some Android headphones in radioshack the other day but Im wondering if theres some kind of app to give us funtionality?? I doubt it but I can hope I guess
The problem is that the Atrix 2 uses the new OMTP 3.5 mm jack which has the ground and the mic switch compared to a standard 3.5 mm jack. In order to have a functioning mic you would need an OMTP compatible headset or find an adapter.
I have had problems finding either...but finally found one made by nox audio (but can't find a place that actually sells it) and one made by blueant which you can order from their website (it is a spare part for their over ear headphone). I plan to buy one and try it and see if it works.

Ok great im going to look into it too, thanks for your answer
My headset seems to work just fine.
It can pick-up/hang-up phone calls. And when not in a phone call, the "answer" button activates the voice search.
They are JVC...I'll have to look tomorrow to see exactly what model.

Klipsch S5i headphones with S3?

I have a pair of Klipsch S5i (I realize these are the iPhone edition, but worked fine with my Rezound) that I am trying to use with the S3. They do work but when I try to make a call I have to unplug then replug in after I dial. If I make a call with them already plugged in the phone uses speakerphone rather than headset.
Any ideas? Any suggestions for other "high quality" earbuds that also have microphone?
That is strange. While I do not have any suggestions...My iBeats that came with my Rezound work fine on my S3 on stock rom and CM10 now.
What rom are you on?

Yeah I haven't really spent much on headphones before so my iBeats work for me!
I have a feeling it is because of the product being developed for the iPhone. Can't think of any other reason these wouldn't work.

UGH! I am having the exact same problem. I have two pairs of phones: s4is and the E2s. Neither works to make calls. I can't hear sound in the phones, and the mic is not supported. I pray this is a joke. How on earth can every other Android phone work with these? I just sold a 4s to get the GS3, and I'm already regretting it. My G2x worked fine with these phones. I use Headphone Controller to manipulate the function of the headphones for use with PlayerPro, but I can't figure out a thing about getting these to work for calling. I am definitely selling this GS3 if I can't figure this out.
Totally frustrating experience. First it was the stock mail app not supporting Exchange sub-folders, and not this. Grrrr. Any solution to the issue would be greatly appreciated.
