My phone now can only go into the HB booter only... - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

when i was flashing rom(noob),i think i format all the rom(include the factory one)in my desire and now why I turn on my desire, it only goes into the HB booter and nothing else.
i tried to recovery it and reset it to the factory rom,but it seems no use.
What can i do for my phone now?
thanks...

It seems that you are going to have to load a new rom. Check out the link from cyanogenmod's website. wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=HTC_Desire_%28GSM%29:_Full_Update_Guide (I was gonna make a link but this forum doesn't allow new members to post links)
Its a great guide to flash new roms to your phone. CyanogenMod is a good one but flashing is the same procedure for any rom. Hopefully this helps you out.

Please Help!! Phone Completely Bricked

I think I may be completely screwed but hopefully someone here can help me.
I tried running the shelltool program to flash to faria's wm6 rom and now my phone is completley bricked. It is stuck on the first screen when you power the device on, the screen that says T-Mobile and tells you what rom and radio version are installed on the phone.
I have tried running the RUU provided by T-Mobile and that didnt work and I have also tried re-flashing the rom using the shelltool program using the original rom. Nothing is working and I am desperate for help.
If anyone has any ideas, please help me as this is my only cell phone and I do not have the money to replace it.
Please, please help if you can.

Did you put the phone into bootloader mode? Turn it off (pull the battery if you have to). Then hold the camera button while you turn the phone on. You'll get the bootloader screen. From there you should be able to flash a rom. (I assume Shell Tools works here, but I don't know). Is your phone a G4 or a G3?. Safest thing is to flash the Wizard Love rom I'd assume. See the stickie at the top of the forum about how to flash as it has links and all...
Thank you so much man... You seriously save my A$$.
If you are not doing it already, I recommend to back-flash first to the latest vendor provided ROM, flash your radio ROM of choice if you want (optional), then finally flash the latest ROM. This ensures that you have a solid base to start out with.
ok I have completely rebooted the phone to the base rom provided by t-mobile but I am having trouble finding shelltool so that i can still flash the rom i really want.
right now it is the standard tmobile rom.
If you know where I can download shelltool so I can flash the custom rom i want then that would be great.
A little searching or looking at the topics would have gave you your answer.

thank you thank you thank you.
PPCKitchen's BuildOS bricked my phone, and I had to do this to save it. I certainly won't muck with that app again.
Ok, please read the stickies before reflashing. Or you'll kill your device again.

Help me about Fender!!!

I bought the mytouch 3g fender the day before yesterday,It's a nice phone, but i need used other language,so i rooting it by this post:
//forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622530
I guarantee that each step is done in accordance with what he said,But unfortunately,i can't enter the system now,it stuck at boot screen.
I tried 3 times, however, the result is the same.
can i go to the t-mobile for help? can they restore it ?
What rom did u flash, the only ond that works is the one cursordroid had in his post
i flashed the cm 4.2 for g2 rom

Sorry about that
http://www.theandroidkitchen.com/fileshare/MyTouch3g32A/?download=MT3G32AFender-1.0-fixed-signed.zip
thanks,i will try it soon
you didnt read ANY of my instructions in order.
ONLY ROM THAT WORKS IS STOCK FENDER ROM< AND YOU MUST REUPGRADE THE SPL AND RADIO AFTER FLASHING RECOVERY.
Again
ONLY ROM THAT WORKS IS STOCK FENDER ROM< AND YOU MUST REUPGRADE THE SPL AND RADIO AFTER FLASHING RECOVERY.
I cant not SCREAM enough about how pointless rooting this phone is for your first time. I cannot belive the amount of people who decided to run out and get this fender mytouch just to root it.
there are no other roms, radios or spls that work correctly witht his rom.
Once a new rom comes out, you will have to repeat the process.
Just stop people.
If you cant get into fastboot or recovery.. or adb doesnt see it at all underl logcat, then its bricked and you didnt follow instructions at all.

Help, flashing for the first time

Alright, so i recently found out that we have a stable(?) nightly of CM7 for the E739.
I have my phone rooted, installed CWM.
Now, am stuck. Please understand that this is my first time doing anything like this.
Can somebody guide me through the flashing process?
And what are the chances of me screwing up my phone?
The best place I would recommend is a search of Google. Any guides xda or other will be returned.
Also, as this your first experience of flashing your phone make sure you understand exactly what it is you are doing before you begin the process.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I did search.
Thing is, there's just brief (very brief) guides on how to flash cm7 on my E739.
what do you mean you're stuck? I'm assuming you read the post below? Its pretty self explanatory. Did you flash the kernel as well?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484673
I thought the new nightlys had the kernel included...?
get.cm
phone model: E739
well according to that I don't think it does, hence why there's a download link for it. On the thread you were looking at on flashing cm7 nightly, did it state the kernel was included?
I've been reading a lot, i don't remember if it was in this forums or in the cyanogenmods forum where i read the kernel was included in the new nightlys.
Is the kernel a must?
Ok, so on Rom Manager before flashing the rom, it gives me the options to make a backup, clear data and cache, and delvik cache.
If i check all of those, i should be on the safe side, right?
I personally don't flash roms through rom manager so I wouldnt know, I flash using recovery. But I guess they have the same basics. Yeah I make a backup of my stock rom, wipe data and cache, then delvik, then the rom I want on, then the kernel if its not included in the rom zip. The kernel is a must since it could screw up random things on your phone.
Very well then, i will flash tomorrow when am near a computer. In case anything happens.
Though am very tempted to flash the nightly right now.
better to be safe than sorry...up to you though.

I tried re-installing hboot drivers, I tried with all types of connection (charging only, disk drive, htc sync). It all doesn't work. Any other suggestions?
well for one, to make your own thread instead of jacking someone elses, especially considering its not even the same phone...but moving past that, read the link below and try the ace hack kit.

Alright one last question, fir future reference.
In CASE my phone ends up in a boot loop, or whatever.
What do i do?
I would reflash to the backup rom you made before by going into cwm or whatever recovery you have...I could be wrong in regards to that but thats what I would do, doesn't mean its the right thing to do...
I suggest u find your official rom first,
if u can't flash the new rom successfully that u can flash it to the original rom

[Q] HELP sensation flashed ROM wont start

Hello, first I would like to apologize as I am clearly a noob and have very little idea of what I am talking about.
I'm sure my problem has been asked before and that if I had any idea what the problem was, I could find the exact solution I need here on the forums. Unfortunately I don't even know what to search for. If any one would like to complain go ahead but please..just help me.
So I decided to root my HTC Sensation, which I believe I did without any problem, I followed the guide on this site. Nothing went wrong and as far as I was aware everything was working fine.
I then decided to flash a new ROM onto the phone. I chose the Android Revolution HD as this looked to be the popular choice. I got it from here and I believed I had followed the instructions on how to install it properly.
However, after installing the ROM I came upon a problem, the phone would not start, it would just go to the HTC boot screen and stay there forever. At first I couldn't even get back to the hboot screen, but after inserting a new and better charged battery I was able to get there, but every time I do it attempts to update and says " CID incorrect! Update Fail! Press <POWER> to reboot." and I cant do anything but get stuck in this continuous loop.
If I take the SD card out I can access the HBOOT properly, however trying to do a recovery at this point doesn't seem to work.
I have no idea what to do and would appreciate any help anyone can give me. I would be happy to just have my phone back to the way it was originally.
Thanks
Might wanna try a RUU? not sure but hopefully it should do..

First off your MAJOR issue is that you flashed a rom for the Desire HD section(As soon as I clicked on your link, it said Android Revolution 7.0.2... I was like wtf? There is no 7.0.2 on the sensation forum) ... I think that's the prob... for now! Flash the correct rom and stay in the right section!
Second, I don't see why you can't get into recovery. Remove your sd card, power on the phone by holding vol-down +power to get to bootloader, select recovery and flash the right rom. I would also recommend that you delete the P58IMG.zip off your sd card as well. I'm assuming you have it on there for the ICS firmware but flashed the incorrect rom. You are far from bricking it, but keep this up and it might turn into one!
Thanks, your post is certainly reasuring though I am still not sure how to continue. Also it is possible I gave the wrong link to the rom I used, though it definitely was the same name.
Anyway what Im thinking I have to do now is 1st delete p58img.zip file from my SDcard and put the right rom on there, could you link to one?
So by removing that file I should be able to access the SDcard again and flash the new rom?

Here's the right link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
This is an ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) Rom
So you need:
1) SuperCID (so that you can flash any firmware)
Instructions
2) Flash the ICS firmware (otherwise you can't use the ICS roms)
http://goo.gl/RcbMy (and make SURE that there aren't any errors - errors such as not doing the SuperCID process correctly, therefore it can't flash - I say this because it seems like many users think the firmware is flashed and then find out their rom won't start, so don't be stupid and check whether or not an error has occurred just incase!)
3) Pick a rom
Revolution
Elegancia
Insert Coin
4) Flash the 4EXT recovery, I'm sure you already have clockwork mod on there but I think that's a bit buggier... so if I were you, I'd go for the 4EXT touch recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377759
5) If you wish, you can also flash for example: tweaks and addons by awsm devs which make our phone much better if you wish!
6) you're good to go! It's that easy.
Yeah, all you have to do is remove that P58IMG.zip from your sd card and your bootloader won't force you to update or w/e. You'll be fine.
And don't forget to md5 check for roms you download !
Sent from my HTC-Z710a using xda premium
Thank you very much. It seems I hadn't performed the SuperCID part. Once I had done that I installed Elegancia and it is working perfectly.
Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me.

[Q] White Screen Since Kernal Change

I am praying that someone can help me, today i think i have done something really stupid in that i am still new to flashing ROMS etc but have unlocked my bootloader through HTC DEV website, following the below link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861&highlight=hboot+1+27+flashing+rom
Anyway i did this a while ago and have had a few ROM's installed with no issues, for the past month i have been using the VIPER 1.4.1 ROM with no issues but experienced a big battery drain so i decided after a bit of investigation to install a new Kernal to replace the Bricked one that i already installed.
Anyway flashed a new kernal using the VENOM hub and the phone rebooted and this is where all my issues started it refused to go past the white HTC screen and will not boot the phone any further...............now i'm stuck!!!
I have been all over the web researching into how to fix this and have formatted my sd card stupidly as i have read that my backups would have fixed this but i deleted these files so now i am completley out of ideas as i cannot get past the white screen.
I have also tried reinstalling the ROM after a full wipe along with also reinstalling the Bricked kernal and also trying to install another ROM but still no luck.
I am able to boot the phone into recovery (4EXT) but after everything i do the phone will not go past the white screen.
I have tried looking through the many posts and done numerous searches but i cannot find anything to help me, i have even tried to reflash the boot.img using the cmd prompt but the HTC Sync software keeps failing as i have Windows 7 because it will not install "HTC Driver Installer 4.0.0.009".
Any help would be great as i really don't want to be the owner of an expensive paper weight, also i am still new and struggle with techy language if you can help me.
Also i would have tried to ask the qusetion on the Venom forum page but my XDA profile won't let me as i am usually a lerker because of my newness to flashing ROM's.
Cheers in advance if you can help me!!!
when you flashed the new kernel the only thing you had to do is flash the boot.img
now do this:
enable smartflash from 4ext and immediately flash the rom

Hi,
If you want the new windows 7 & 8 drivers, look HERE
Reboot the pc when updated.
Try just flashing ARHD ROM
This is nearer stock.
Do not add any fancy extras, just stock.
Go to 4 EXT recovery, enable smartflash, and flash ROM straight away.
If this does not work, you will have to consider a RUU.
