Greeting guys.
I using Dexter's 2.2.1 v1.2 + screen suite and each time when i unlocked my phone, i can still see the stock lock-screen.
tried "settings --> security" but doesn't seem to work
Any idea how to remove the stock lock screen? any dependency(ies)?
However,I manged to removed music.apk (stocked music player) using "root explorer". Thanks in advance. Cheers

Is there a way to disable, or completely remove, the Japanese IME in ICS?
It gets pretty annoying if you accidentaly switch to it and have to go to settings - input to switch it back.
I'm using CyberGR's ICS ROM, but the IME is present in I believe all ICS ROMs besides stock and the checkbox associated with it is greyed out.
Thanks.
you need to freeze or uninstall "openWnn'. After freezing or uninstalling you need to reboot and it is gone! Download a good file manager with a search option to search for openWnn or if you are rooted install root explorer and search for it.
good luck
Thanks, disabling the app worked well. Is it safe to delete it from the ROM package as well?
I believe it is but I just froze it

yes , you can delete /system/app/OpenWnn.apk in the zip file before you install and other thing you don't need , but be careful with anything related with google.
Hey. I will like to request an app that is like go locker lockscreen unlock but im on touchwiz. i tried installing go locker but cant as it need go launcher. does anyone have any ideas on how to do it? and 1 more thing, anyone knows how to make like the reboot, recovery and download mode shortcut when we long press our power button? thanks
anyone?
As far as i know you cannot use Go apps without the launcher and if you need lockscreen app than i am sure Widget locker is the best one and for your other request that feature comes with mostly custom ROM's but i am sure if you search the forum you should be able to find a MOD for it.
Try searching as "Power menu mod" and yes you need a rooted phone to install those mods.
Hi,
I new to the whole rooting scene so please bear with me.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone (using twrp and SuperSU) and installed LMT Launcher v2.0 RC5.
Setting it up was easy, however when I use it to launch an app nothing happens.
Well, only the wifi and bluetooth toggle actions actually work.
But setting a Pie Item to trigger an arbitrary app - this does not work (by work, I mean nothing happens when you select that pie item)
any help appreciated.
thanks,
KS
Hi,
can anyone with a OTA confirm that you have calculator and flashlight (, and all other stock Sense 5.5 apps) on Sense 6.0
I am using [ROM][M4 - 4.09.401.3] Official Stock Sense 6 Rom & Firmware by xXminiWHOOPERxX and for some reason don't have those and some other stock apps.

I believe that this release came from a system image from a rooted phone, and to root you need to unlock the bootloader using HTCdev's unlocker, which deletes the data/preloaded folder's contents which include the calculator and the flashlight apps provided by HTC.
Only way to keep these apps is to stick to the stock ROM without tampering with the phone ( no unlocking bootloader, no root ).
On another note, surely you can find the APKs on the net to install the HTC Calculator and HTC Flashlight again if you don't like any "aftermarket" ( from Play Store ) apps of the kind.
Ok thanks for the info.
Meanwhile I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696399
Downloaded Calculator and Flashlight apps straight to my Mini and installed. Both worked nicely. Still missing Task Manager and File Manager...

Wish somebody had mentioned in the unlock bootloader guides that during the process we'd lose the apps, if I knew that, I would've made a backup of the files before proceeding with the unlock.
Hi,
I removed/uninstalled the stock gallery app. Even though I have google photo installed, I got an error message when I try to access gallery by clicking the gallery icon in the samsung stock camera app. I also could not set the wallpaper for the lock screen, as when I click the gallery icon in the setting screen, it gave me similar error message saying "app not installed". Could someone tell me how I could restore the stock gallery app, or change the default app to google photo (preferred option)? Thanks in advance for your help!!
If you can find the gallery .apk then install it. If not, then reflash with stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.
I assume you are rooted since you managed to delete the gallery app.
So if you installed a custom rom, grab the apk from the zip file or reflash the rom.
If you are on stock do this aswell
