Hello,
is there a way to extract a readable registry, in an xml tree file for example?
I'm investigating for the bluetooth reboot problem (that i had on my htc mozart 7 and my peugeot 207 with integrated bluetooth), and a workaround works in the registry... i want to find which one

Hi All,
My friend has just bought a Wizard and I noticed that it has a nice little device lock application on the home screen. Does anyone know where I can get this little app
for my XDA II running WM 2003 SE?
Cheers,
Richard.
Is it possible to rip this app from the WM 2005 Wizard ROM somehow?
I checked one of the EXT_ROM images I found but couldn't see anything obvious
in there. Could it be built into the main ROM perhaps?
cheers,
Richard.
We tried before to find the file responsible for this utility, so we could be able to bind it to a hardbutton and take it off the todayscreen, but no luck. No-one knows what file is responsible for this app. sorry guys.
the registry points to "shutil.dll" - I suppose this is a fairly generic shell utilities DLL, but as there is no further 'entry point' data in the registry, just hooking that up as a Today item should automatically provide the required data ? Unless it polls an additional DLL, of course, but a resource explorer check of that DLL (if you can copy it) should be able to point any of that out?
hello,
Anyone know what would be the filename(s) of the bluetooth dll files on a PPC 2003 device and what would be their location(s)?
Thanks!
Paul
I don't remember the precise file names but there should be several DLLs starting with BT in the windows directory.
BT* with both the WIdcomm and the MS BT stack.
Thanks guys!

hi,
i've got an xda exec, running via wm5 and ROM 1.13.48 WWE. when using internet explorer i can't view all unicode e.g punjabi.
how do i solve this?
ta.
What do you see on the screen?
Wrong characters, question marks or squares?
Wrong characters - means you need to change the locale in regional settings.
Question marks - means your device does not have the right code page and you need to replace wnce.nls
Squares - the font does not contain this language. Just copy it from desktop windows (c:\windows\fonts) it is most likely tahoma.ttf place it under \windows on the phone then reset.
I also have the same question. I do get squares and I know that I have to replace these 3 fonts.
cour.ttf
tahoma.ttf
tahomabd.tff
The problem is that when I try to replace the original files in \windows, I can not. I have tried to copy them both with Windows Vista and within Windows Mobile 6 Professional itself but the system says that I don't have the permission. Please help!
is it possible to remove the "Sent from my Windows MobileĀ® phone." text.
Im guessing this is some sort of registry edit - if so can someone direct me ?
found out how - in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2201034
Is their a Registry or other Automated way to do it aswell?
Hello All,
We want to set the Signature to something else with an automated script. So the solution provided is for a single user just fine. We need something to chang the 'deafault' signature to something else or just dis-able it.
Is their a way? Perhaps trough provisioning a XML file?

Hi
I use a WIZA100.
I have to install Mi_MediaSupportv2 (midi support).CAB to be able to use mid as ringtones >.> unfortunately that cab also disables pimg.exe as a side effect. I can't preview my camera pictures and I can't add pictures to my contacts
I want to explore the registry added by that cab, but it is compressed and everything appears scrambled. It is not stored as registry entries anyways
I need a cab editor or a program which lets me extract the registry keys from that file. I know there used to be something like that during the rom kitchens era.
Thanks!

I used the excellent program
CeCabMgr_Setup.exe by OCP software. It costs $100, so I will have to stop short after the trial.
I modified the cab so It didn't affect my pimg.exe It also uses up 1mb less from what the original file uses, still enabling my PDA to use MID and MIDI files as ringtones.
I will uploaded the modified file here.
