PowerPoint OpenOffice remote control - free app - Android Apps and Games

Hello community,
this week I've released my new app. With this app you can control PowerPoint and OpenOffice presentations. And the best: this app is for free!
Here are some features:
-presentation preview on your phone
-notes supported
-easy to setup
-no installation on your PC required
-excellent documentation
-supports all screen sizes
-multilingual
I would be very happy about some feedback.
Please visit my homepage for the download links, a description and an example. There you'll probably find all information.
Homepage
Thank you very much!

Works well on HTC Wildfire. It has a few bugs though:
Main page of application doesn't fit 100%. The last line: Connection: Wi-fi doesn't fit 100% on screen. It's readable, but if you make the image 1-3% smaller it would fit.
When in presentation, the Top overview of 3 sheets is buggy. Sometimes I need to press the middle one to go to next sheet, sometimes i need the right one.
The buttons are working, also sliding the main sheet to go to next one works fine.
Although, great Application.
Tested on Linux Mint 64 bit and HTC Wildfire @ 2.2.1 stock over wifi.
Couldn't connect over 3G, could be port issue.

Wow, thanks for these detailed feedback. That helps a lot
I could not test it on Linux, yet, so I am happy that it worked for you. Also I will correct these mistakes.
You've mentioned the top overview. No that is not a bug, what you have explained. If you press a special picture, the presentation jumps to this page. If you scroll, the presentation does nothing until you select a picture. Or did I understand you wrong?
You are right, over 3G does not work and yes, it is a port issue.
Thank you very much!

At top I'm seeing 3 small images. I thought the left one was previous sheet, middle one is sheet that is showing at the moment and right sheet is next sheet.
But while testing: Pressing middle one "opened" current sheet and pressing right one opened next sheet.
OR
Pressing middle one opened next sheet, and pressing right one the one next to middle. So if current was no. 10, pressing the middle opened no. 11, and if current view was no. 10 and I pressed right it opened no. 12.
Don't know if that's a bug, but it seemed to be like one. But I can live with buttons, sliding to go to next/previous sheet

I've tried it myself and you are right. That's definitely a bug. I'll fix that in the next version. Thank you

how to I run that .jar file?

Open it with JAVA (scroll down on my homepage, I made a screenshot).
You can also open it with the command line. On Windows hit start, type "cmd". Navigate to the folder, where you have saved the .jar file (or put it on your Desktop and type in the command window "cd Desktop"). After that type "java -jar FreePowerPointRemote_PC.jar".
This entire block does the same like opening it with JAVA.
Does that work for you?

in the command line windows, it says java is not recognized. to i need to install anything beforehand? i do have java 6 on my pc

This can happen, you haven't set the JAVA HOME variable, yet. I had this issue a lot in the past and it is really annoying. Please google for a solution, there a very short and simple tutorials to fix that.
However, if you have installed JAVA the easiest way to open this .jar is to right click on it and choose "open with". If JAVA is not listed, then select "choose a standard program" at the botton. The path for java.exe is in my case "C:\\programs\java\jre6\bin\java.exe". Select this .exe file and open the .jar.
I think that is very easy and a better solution for most people than the command line.
Did that work?

Opened with Java.exe and nothing appeared. Is there any way you can make an exe file?

@handsomeboy1702: I've tried it, but I got problems with the tool Launch4j. I would be very happy if somebody could help me.
You can also try out the javaw.exe (in the same folder like java.exe). Maybe that works. The last thing you could do is setting the JAVA HOME environment variable.
@fifarunnerr: I've corrected these mistakes, an update to version 1.0.1 is out. Thanks again!

Updated and they're fixed
But I've found another bug. If there are 5 "elements" on one sheet(e.g. list, and one click shows next item in list) the application thinks it goes to next sheet but it just shows another item from list on the same sheet. I guess that one is harder to fix.
Workaround is filling in the Java application it has more sheets it's working, but not as it should.
I think the bug is that in initializing the sheets it goes always to next sheet, but at presentation itself it clicks(?). If it clicks it goes to next sheet or shows another item from list.

I have already implemented a workaround. You can enable in the menu the extra button. They tell the PC to go to the next page, but your phone does not make an update (the button send the same command like wiping the main picture to the left or right). It may happen that you get out of sync with the PC. For that you can long press the main picture and the PC updates itself.
Maybe you want to take a look in my documentation, I've mentioned that point in the presentation control part.
I don't have an other idea for a workaround. Using more sheets doesn't work, because the gallery on the top isn't correct anymore.
Thanks again for the suggestion, I hope this helps.

I just wanted to mention, that I've released version 2.0.0. The app now supportes notes. Please read the instruction on my homepage.
Thanks

I found that notes cannot be displayed with my Office 2010, is that only open office is supported yet?

@handsomeboy1702
You need to set your Java path. Right Click My Computer--> Advanced-->Environment Vaiables-->In system variables, enter values for following variables.
The values must match your Java Installation directory. So change them accordingly.
JAVA_HOME
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_01
CLASSPATH
%JAVA_HOME%\lib
PATH
%JAVA_HOME%\bin
Hope it helps.
Pls if you could rate me and Thank me if my reply is helping you
If still any issues, mail me.
Thanks'

LibreOffice
Hi,
I was wondering if it support LibreOffice? If not, will it?
Thx for your job

v XenOn v, I "discovered" this app through the announcement on the xda-developers home page (and the tweet from them, of course.)
One thing you may not be aware of -- WiFi tethering, if the phone has it -- works wonderfully! Great for places where there is no WiFi infrastructure, or poor 3G connectivity, or both.
Thank you for a terrific app! No need for long distance mice any longer!!!

I've tried it too.
When initialized the file, it can make the program not responding.
Could you make this application can run in landscape mode? So when the android phone rotates to landscape, the application also rotates automatically to landscape view.
The notes which should be seen under the slide preview is not appear in my Samsung Galaxy Ace. Is this a bug? If you think it is not, please tell me how to make the notes appear.
My suggestion, maybe you can make the toggle button appear as default.
The last from me, could you make the slide preview bigger?
I think this is enough to make this application much better. I really interested in this apps because it easy to bring than wireless remote.
Please let me know when you have made the next version of this application.
I really appreciate to you and this application. Thanks for your work to develop this application.

it's very fun app
it just hook input and covert to left, right key
so it will run all other application if you not want the preveiw (i try it for foxit reader, firefox, ie8)
it very useful

Android Screencast - Control your phone from your PC (My Mobiler for Android)

This is incubus26jc's thread, just posting it here for exposure.
incubus26jc said:
Alright guys, I finally found a Java App that will actually control your phone from your pc. This is not complicated. Thanks to acid256 for this open source project.
If your looking to do screenshots, use the java screenshot program in this thread
Features
- Mouse and keyboard control FOR ROOTED DEVICES ONLY
- Landscape mode (right click)
- Video recording
- Basic file browser
INSTRUCTIONS
Download Android sdk. Place android-sdk-windows folder on root of your C:\
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Download(skip login) and install JRE(JDK) 6
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/widget/jdk6.jsp
Download the attached java file, unzip it, and just run it.
Place it anywhere you want. It doesnt have to be in the sdk folder like the screenshot program.
Make sure your phone is plugged in for a minute or two.
If you cant get it to control, run the automount app or dual mount sd widget.

Damn that is sweet! Will try it when I get home from work
Thank you for posting about this. Just gave it a shot, and it works pretty well. It's a bit laggy, but definitely gets the job done. I needed this in order to respond to texts without looking like I'm responding to texts, and for that this works very well.
Thanks for posting this. I might have to give this a try.
Good for if your phone is in someone else's hands. :-O
Just tested it out.
Found a couple problems-
-It's a little slow
-If you have the phone set up with the kickstand, and it turns the orientation side ways, it does the same on the computer. So then everything is sideways.
-If the phone is Asleep, it wont wake it up
Besides those few problems, it's great!
Can't wait to see what this will be like in the coming weeks as the dev. gets the bugs worked out!
Yes very slow but I like it. Awesome owkr.
Cool beans, thanks
i was hoping this was similar to MyMoblier for WinMo. being able to remotely control (or at least view) a device is rather handy for support folks.
has anyone seen something more like mymobiler for winmo that will work on android?
Works good but it needs more responsiveness in the mouse clicking. I can drag but I cant click very well. I press menu and go to Wallpaper. But I cant press Wallpaper.
Excellent program for people who want to text in privacy at work.
Awesome, this could be quite useful
i'm having absolutely no luck with this. granted, i'm using adb wireless to try and manipulate it, but i'm rooted, and it should still work. getting absolutely no control at all. none. i can see the screen, and can rotate my view of it, but i can't do squat through the phone.
i'm rooted, btw.

[APP] Zlaunchy for Android 1.3

Hi,
Version 1.3 was released and also published on Android Market on 2011-07-03 - you can grab it here or from links below. The main change is fixing UpdateEntriesService which stayed running in certain cases and used up memory.
ZLaunchy was written mainly for those who like the way HTC and other third party dialers allows searching for contacts in a T9-like way - so that finding Adam means choosing 2326 in the phone application. ZLaunchy uses the same idea to run programs on your device. What it does is gives you a dialer keypad and when you type in a series of digits, it searches for all programs that match - for example to start Internet, start typing 4683 - Internet should show up in the result list.
In order to search for a particular text as beginning of words, type the specified digits - for example 4683 to find Internet. In order to search for specified letter(s) not only at beginning of words, add "1" at the end - for example 7371 will find Opera.
This application is free.
Changes in 1.3 release:
Fixed bug that caused UpdateEntriesService service not to stop after a successful update
This bug caused service to remain in memory and consume memory. Happened when "refresh items when inactive" was disabled/enabled.
Reworked logging mechanism
Reworked logging and cleaned up some of internals related to troubleshooting; should speed up the application a bit
Changes in 1.2 release:
Changes in contact handling to improve handling for certain devices
We have changed how ZLaunchy retrieves contacts, which should help support for some devices - users who had issues with contacts should try out the new version
Added option to always show menu when selecting a contact from list
It is now possible to choose whether ZLaunchy will open contact details or show a menu to select commonly used actions
As usual, you can download ZLaunchy from Android Market and our website.
Changes in 1.1 release:
Search in contacts' email address and telephone numbers and application's package name
QWERTY search for devices with physical keyboard
Ability to dial number
"0" button added on the on-screen keypad
Application details can now be shown on all Android versions
Preferences for global settings and profiles - you can now configure searching only for contacts, applications or both
Better APK install/uninstall integration
Download link: https://market.android.com/details?id=org.endorser.zlaunchy and http://www.endorser.org/en/downloads/android/zlaunchy
The idea is great, the app works well and faster then I expected 10/10

It does - searches both phone numbers and names. If you want to search for part of phone number (i.e. 6277 in +486277XXXXX) - just add 1 at the end.
great app! works fast, looks simplistic and clean, and definitely useful...
although i wonder where to find the 0... searching for numbers could get tricky without being able to type the zero.
and i couldn't figure out what the prev and next buttons do. since i have a desire s without any trackball i can just assume that's sort of a trackball-action, but in my case not functioning. any hint on that?

Initially it was only meant for searching apps - so I didn't think of 0. I also want it to allow dialing a number in 1.1 so 0 will be added for sure.
As for next/prev, it was meant to choose profiles (i.e. apps, contacts, specific folders, combination of these), but it's not done yet. So maybe it'll be changed to 0 and profiles button.

I have some force close like 20 seconds after searching for an app.
Otherwise I am very happy to find this program, I loved it in Wm!
Nice! Just what I've been looking for. I use Launchy on windows and linux and this is just perfect.
Oh and I have an idea for improvement:
Apps/Contacts launched more often should get an increased weight so they show up on top. Like when you type at least X % of the App name, but there are like 10 others that match the searchstring, the results should be sorted based on their weight.

I apologize. It was related to my android rom, not your software.
Very snappy program, I am highly impressed!
As a long time user of Find and Run Robot, I would be using ZLauncher all the time if you were to implement filtering by typing with the physical keyboard. That would make this an absoultely killer app for me. I totally understand if you prefer to keep this T9 only though
Oh and it doesn't seem to respect the fact that I disabled auto-rotate (Desire Z running CM7)
This is an awesome program, love it. Finding myself using this more that the App Draw. Great stuff!

Supporting more languages is an extremely challenging task as simple translation just won't work. We will try to implement it on a future release.
Once we start working on that, any help would be much appreciated.
the next release will focus on adding other features suggested by users.
- [DONE] Add voice recognition
- [DONE] Remember last calendar used.
- Better support for landscape mode.

Unfortunately reminders are somewhat tricky and we have no access to the default reminder setting of the calendar application.
We will try to think of an elegant solution for future releases, but for now the default reminder is indeed 15 minutes.
For now you may click the Edit button instead of OK and immediately press back (we know, not the best solution..).
Android Pro Quick Event 1.0.2 released!
Here are recent changes:
- Fix: closed when changing orientation.
- Fix: Remembers the last used calendar.
- Feature: Speech recognition added.

griffen97023
Please let me know what is your timezone so I can try to reproduce it.
Edit: well I can see its Pacific.
As far as I can tell the bug is only in the display and only for full day events. Events are placed at the right day after you click OK or Edit.
I'm working on a fix right now and it will be included in the next release.
Thanks.
Thanks! + small bug (?) report
Hey, thanks for the awesome app, I hit that "thanks" button really hard
I think I'll get used to the way of typing in appointments like that quite quickly.
However, I already found something I believe to be a minor bug. Imagine the following scenario: Let's say I want to schedule a meeting at an office of someone called "George Atkinson": "Meeting @ Atkinson's office". No problem so far.
In Germany it is not uncommon for people to have multiple last names connected by a hyphen. Let's say his name is now "George Johnson-Atkinson". Now it would be: "Meeting @ Johnson-Atkinson's office". What happens is that apparently the hyphen changes something in the syntax so that after having typed "Johnson-A", as soon as I type the "t", the Location part will omit what I wrote before and say "tkinson's office" when I'm done typing everything. It probably has something to do with its recognizing the "At" in "Atkinson" as a command (yet, funnily enough, the "t" stays as the first letter in the Location field, which I wouldn't have expected if it was mistaken as part of a command!).
It can get even more confusing. Let's say I don't want it to say "Meeting @ Johnson-Atkinson's office", but rather "Meeting @ George Johnson-Atkinson's office" (i.e. adding the first name; to be more general: another word followed by a space). After having typed "Meeting @ George Johnson-", the hyphen "jumps" to the Title field again, leaving only "George Johnson" in the Location field. Completing the command will result in the Title field saying "Meeting -Atkinson's office" and the Location field saying "George Johnson". EDIT: I just tried it with "Meeting @ Atkinson-Johnson's office" and it gave me "Meeting -Johnson's office" --> Title and "George Atkinson" --> Location. So this "bug" doesn't seem to be associated with the "At". So I guess I accidently found two bugs which I thought to be a single one
I don't know if this is working as intended and only poses a problem with the German "double names". Nonetheless, I did actually and in reality run across this problem I hope my description wasn't too confusing.
Thanks in advance for looking into it!

Howdy everyone, this is the thread I'm putting together to walk everyone through the step-by-step process fellow ACS member ShabbyPenguin and I have concocted to get Google+ Huddle on your desktop. There's a video, there's files, there's awesomeness! But first...
Shout Outs
If you Google search "Get Huddle On Your Desktop", there's a number of tutorials on getting Android to work on your desktop. We used these tutorials to get started and used user comments to help troubleshoot problems we had. I'd list individual links but we used pretty much all of them.
Shabbypenguin for getting the Market to work better, getting Google+ to work on the emulator and creating the file everyone will be downloading and using. I really couldn't have done this without his expertise. I linked his name to one of his posts so you can give him thanks as well
Me for getting the Market to work in the first place, getting interwebz to work in the emulator on a permanent basis, having the idea and writing this thread
JunkDruggler and Greenmuggy for the awesome on-the-fly graphics!
Lastly, of course, is everyone who helped by testing to be sure it worked. Thank you!
Why?
Huddles are a brilliant way for a large amount of people to keep in touch with one another. It uses social networking to make adding people to the chat easy, it doesn't use a lot of battery life and makes it convenient for getting a hold of people wherever you are. One massive, gaping problem, though, is no desktop client. Instead of trying to talk everyone I know into using Skype, IRC or other ways of talking to mass people on a desktop, it was decided that Huddle must be ported to be used on a desktop. It was the only logical conclusion.
With that in mind. We got Google+ running with full internet and market access. However, it was a hell of a process and took many hours of troubleshooting and collaborating. To simplify the process, Shabbypenguin exported the entire set up into a universally importable file so that anyone with Virtual Box can port it in (with a few tweaks made) and start using their Google+ Huddle on their computer. Once Virtual Box is installed and the .zip for the import is downloaded, it takes 5 minutes to set up. We are not the first people to get it to work, but we are the first to make it a painless, easy process to make it available to a mass number of people with minimal effort.
Features
*Android 2.2 (FroYo) emulated in Virtual Box (We had to use FroYo, it had the most stable internet connections)
*Market works...mostly.
*Google+ and Huddle work flawlessly
*Full internet usability (such as web browsing)
Specifications
*Has been confirmed working on Windows 7 and Linux. Since it's an environment run in Virtual Box and not on the actual OS, there's no reason to believe that it won't run on a Mac as well.
*According to my task manager, Virtual Box running this uses between 75MB and 90MB worth of RAM. There's no conceivable way you have less than that...but if you do, your computer is going to lag hardcore.
Installation Instructions
01. Download and install Virtual Box from their official website. Do a normal installation, no special instructions required.
02. Download the VHD (virtual hard disk..*snicker*) from the original thread at ACSyndicate.
03. Move the VHD you just downloaded somewhere where you won't forget it or accidentally delete it.
04. Use your favorite archive program (I prefer 7zip) to extract the contents right there in the folder.
05. Double-click (or otherwise open) the file that was unzipped entitled "Froyo". Not Froyo-disk1. This will open up Virtual Box and import our pre-made FroYo emulator into your Virtual Box.
Now it would appear as though you're done. However, because this was ported from a computer that wasn't yours, there's some stuff you need to check (and maybe change) to make it specific to your computer. Please follow the remaining directions as they'll likely solve your problems.
06. Before booting up, there's a couple of settings you need to change. So go to "Settings" (should be a button at the top), then select "Network" from the left margin. Make sure "Enable Network Adapter" is checked. Then select as follows:
Attached to: You want "Bridged Adapter"
Name: Use the drop down menu and select your primary network card / network adapter / whatever. Usually the first thing in the drop down menu.
Click *advanced* to drop that menu down if it isn't already.
Adapter Type: PCnet-FAST III (Am79C973)
It is very important that adapter type is set to PCnet-FAST III. Not sure if the numbers in the parenthesis are the same, but the essential part is PCnet-FAST III
Promiscuous Mode: Allow All (not sure this even matters, but it can't hurt to be sure)
MAC Address: should be filled in automatically.
Lastly, check the box that says "Cable connected". That was a long step.
From here if you double click "FroYo" in Virtual Box, it will boot up Android 2.2 inside the emulator. It'll get to a pre-boot menu asking about which one you want to boot, just select the top one (hdpi).
Important
Once you hit the Android boot screen, go up to where it says "Machine" and click "Disable Mouse Integration". This will allow you to move freely within the emulator using your mouse. You MUST do this on every boot. So if you close out, remember to do it again.
Lastly
When you go to sign into Google+ for the first time (you'll find it in the app drawer), it'll ask for your gmail and password like normal. Type in your username and password like normal. You MAY get some stupid error about using special characters in the email address. Hit "okay" and it'll go back to the prior screen. DO NOT RE-TYPE YOUR USERNAME. Just click in the password box and it'll auto-fill the "@gmail.com" part for you and work properly the 2nd time you do it.
Known Issues
*You will frequently get notifications that the system can't get updated Market data. Disregard, this is meaningless.
*Occasionally you'll get an error notification about signing into gTalk. Disregard, this is meaningless.
*You will get miscellaneous error notifications. Ignore them. This is for Huddle and Huddle only with a few other basic functions. We're not going to be troubleshooting (read: fixing) these.
*Sometimes it appears as though the battery is draining. Do not be alarmed, your battery will not die and the emulator won't crash.
*Sound does NOT work and, obviously, neither does vibration so you will not hear any notifications. You'll have to open up the window to check your Huddle.
Pro Tips
1. The "esc" key and right clicks on the mouse function like the "back" button. The "Home" key on your keyboard functions as the "home" button in the emulator.
2. Once you're all signed in and ready to go, back out to the home screen, open the app drawer and go to settings. Then navigate to display and change the screen time out setting to "never timeout". This will prevent the emulator from dropping back to the lock screen.
3. You will not be able to copy/paste things from outside the emulator to inside the emulator and vice versa. Don't try it.
4. If you stay in the Huddle app, it'll automatically put the focus in the text box when you open up the window so you don't have to click in it to start typing. Just start typing.
5. If you need to scroll up and down in a huddle conversation real fast, click in the text box then use the up and down arrows. much easier than using the mouse to click and drag.
6. The "tab" key will not ever work. Don't try it.
7. Personally, I never exit Huddle, so when I open the Window it's always right there. If you plan on using this as a Huddle-only thing (like you're supposed to), then it's recommended to just leave Huddle open.

when you can get your sdk version to work, you can write your own thread
I tried your files and they dont do anything for me. I use 7zip to unzip the files and then double click froyo and it opens virtual box but then doesnt do anything else

step 06: check the network settings to make sure they're correct
then double click froyo in virtual box and it should boot up in a new window. check out the video at the ACS site if you have more trouble. I do the whole process from start to finish on it.
huddle/messenger is open source and has an api.. i wonder why noone has made a desktop client yet..
Am I missing something? Can't you join a Huddle from a G+ browser window?

I must have been confusing. I double click froyo and all it does is open virtual box it doesnt set anything up or create a new virtual machine so i cant even get to step 6. So maybe i should say it does nothing at all.
My workaround,
Install bluestacks.
Check this thread on how to get rightclick to install apk's into bluestsacks.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298332
Check the same thread on how to get rid of Full screen on Bluestacks.
Only install Google Service Framework, setup wizard, market & Google+ after you have installed a good Homelauncher, also from the same thread.
(onetime initializer is annyoing)
Beware that there will be a notification about Google+ that you might not see in the notification bar.
Pronto Google+ on your desktop. Not checked voice & sound yet as I just did it after reading this thread.

Nope, if it were that simple then Shabbypenguin and I wouldn't have had to make this.
We tried a number of different ways including the browser. You can talk via gTalk in the browser but not the Huddle

I'll add this to the OP as an alternative thank you!
I've used the OP's method and it's currently working flawlessly.
probbiethe1...i don't understand why it won't work for you. did you get virtual box and not vmware (i don't think you can use either, i think it's gotta be Virtual box) and what operating system are you running?
this is awesome bro. thanks for your time and effort for this

It was our pleasure. I'm sure Google+ will make a Huddle/Messenger for desktop (or at least a web browser) eventually, but hell why wait?
Am I the only one that seems to be having this problem?
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Froyo.
No error info.
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ProgressProxy
Interface: IProgress {c20238e4-3221-4d3f-8891-81ce92d9f913}
I have followed all of the instructions and all of the settings were correct. (and the numbers in the parenthesis were the same too..)
Thanks
Sorry about the thread necro (of sorts)...
I think this is brilliant... however, I just tried setting this up and for some reason it won't let me log into my Google account (says wrong username/password)... rest assured, I know I'm using the right login information. Anyone know if something has changed?
Thanks!
PS I should add, the network otherwise appears to work fine e.g. I can log into Google via the virtual Android browser just fine.
Does this still work for people? I have followed the instructions, and can access my gmail in the VM, but trying to sign in to either google+ or Messenger fails.

[TOOL] Online Logcat formatter and filter

Hi everyone,
as I was looking through a Catlog log, I found the need to see it colored for easier distinguishing between different kinds of logs and even filter out some of the types. Surprisingly, I couldn't find any tools using google that do that (only direct ADB logcats, which was inconvinient for me as I didn't have a cable at the time, but I imagine lots of people use Catlog to send logs to developers). I quickly threw up something to help me with that. As it was a really a sidenote in my task it expects a Catlog logcat and nothing different and will just be dumb when something different is presented. It's also very not optimized, but it still works quick enough. It's (at least not currently) a storage tool, you just paste the unfiltered, unformatted Catlog logcat into the box and press the button to get a formatted and filtered (if neccesary) logcat. You can also easily highlight the whole formatted and filtered logcat afterwards by using the link next to the button so you can copy and paste it easily to somewhere more useful if need be (I don't recommend Word though since it will run spell-checking and freak out at the number of errors )
I don't know if anyone will find it useful, but I thought I'd share. If people find it useful, I'll continue to work on it, maybe add filters like by a word or where the log comes from or parse other types of logs, etc... In the meantime, here's what I got:
http://www.bikonja.com/LogcatViewer
It's purely Javascript (with jQuery) and CSS based so it's even easy to pick up the source and modify (I've conviniently put all the CSS and JS within the div with the id "content".
Let me know if anyone actually uses it and if you have any feature requests.
Wonderful job! But still have bug to be fixed!
This is really convenient form ROM developers, thanks for you hard work! But after I post my logcat there(it's about 13033 lines), then I click the "Display new logcat" button, I found that not all the logs are displayed below. So I think may be you should also use a textarea tag to display the results that you have converted!

I am glad that you find it useful!
I have added an error log beneath the formatted/filtered logcat so you know exactly which rows (both by index and content) have not been parsed (since it was a FAST piece of work, I heavily rely on the CatLog syntax which does mean that even a tiny space in the wrong place could set off an error.
As I said previously, if people actually do find this tool useful, I will try to find time to implement whatever you need and of course, fix whatever bugs you encounter! So if you use this tool and have problems or suggestions, shoot
I like this one, but the website could not pharse some rows of my pasted logcat, why is that ?

I'm glad you like it. The whole thing was just a whim I decided to act on and was done in a very short time so I cut a lot of corners, that's probably why some rows were not parsed. If you could send me the rows that couldn't be parsed I'll see why they weren't and fix it.
The parser is currently very specific about what it accepts since, as I said it was a very fast whim, but if people turn out to actually like, use and need this tool, I'm open to suggestions and I'll continue to improve it to the point at which everyone will be happy
So please, suggest away and let me know what exactly you need, I'll cover it as soon as I can!
