st00pid question, but you've tried to hold down the on/off button for 15 seconds or so? That does a hard-reset for me...

Sure did... Nothing happens.. Thanks

Wow! That's absolutely amazing! I had never even thought about that! I did come across another great hidden trick....if you hold down both of the soft keys, and then press the soft reset button, you'll be able to make your phone just as fast as it was when it was brand new! Just press send!
FUNNY MY BAD!!!
LOL thanks, i spit out my drink on that one.

As if all the caps and exclamation points (and an inappropriately placed apostrophe) don't make it stand out enough!
Ok now that I am done laughing, seriously though, i am sure he/she was just trying to contribute because they found something that was new to them. Everyone starts out as a newbie... that's how they learn.
Even though it wasn't really a new trick or fix, it was new to them, and they tried to contribute by sharing what they found. The thought was good!
As long as we are giving out cool tips and tricks:
I was trying to use my Tilt's camera for the first couple of days but it wouldn't work...it was always just bringing up a black screen. I realized FINALLY! if you take your fingers off the lens then you can take a picture of whatever you want...Im so excited now!
Oh also...if you are having problems with your BT headset it helps to place it in your ear.
good luck!

Oh man Thanks, sticky for this thread.
*LMAO* I bet he didn't expect this kind of comments
But he's is actually right about his "trick". To bad it's in the wrong section of the forum
All I am going to say is, it may be stupid to some but it works using my device and my area, "even if that was a trick it wouldn't necessarily be an accurate one. I always have 3G off on my device because I get poor reception from my home with it activated, so I just keep it off. However, I never had full bars w/ edge, unless I am in the city".

Thanks, remove button

I've accidently pressed thanks, but there's no remove button.
I would put in my suggestion for one

Ah s***.. I want my thank back!

Agreed. I wish there was a way to remove thanks if you accidentally pressed the button... Other (unnamed) forums have it, why not XDA? The thanks button is a great idea, but what if it turns out that person was wrong, and you don't want to thank them? Or if you have a small seizure and accidentally click the thanks button (this happens more times than I would like to admit...)
I don't think moving the thanks button is a good solution, provide a method to remove thanks if you wish. Thanks!! .
why not just thank somebody and make him happy? even if its an accident
Has this been implemented somehow? I did a search and got here but can't find if it was done.
what?
i am not sure i know whats going on

If you want to unthank someone you intentially thanked because they have been proven wrong, perhaps you are a little too triggerhappy with the thanks button in the first place and/or should also take accountablity for being wrong as you obviously supported them before you realised they were wrong. Fairweather friends and all that If you pushed thanks accidently and it keeps you awake at night sweating about it perhaps you can write a discalimer in the thread stating your thanks was accidental and you formally withdraw it and ask that whenver people take that persons thanks into account they mentally -1 from the total.
Wait, these thanks have value to you people? o.o
The only thanks I take is ones that are written out, despite xda disapproving that method.
$1 gets you a reply
I believe that we should also add a "No Thank You" button. This button would be aimed at people that give dumb or useless answers. Or people that meddle, troll or ask redundant questions. Yeah I'm guilty of a few of these offenses but I think I've learned now.
I know this will only help Chrome users using the XDA Toolbar, but I do intend to add a confirmation to the thanks button, so it asks you if you really meant it. I'm only doing it because it took me ages to get used to it being there, and I was forever pressing it when I wanted to quote someone!

Added to that, maybe change your settings on your mouse to have to double click so even in a seizure moment, you most likely won't double click.
kindof off topic but still i with say it i think we should be allowed to delete our own posts and topixs completely!

Yes, sir. It would be. I think I am going to call it a night. I still need to do some work on updating stuff though.
I made a thread but just should have posted here. Is there anyway you could make a guide on how to use NinjaMorph? I would love to learn how to customize my phone my own way. I have no developing experience at all lol.

[Q] Droid 2 and Virgin Mobile

I recently found a Droid 2 outside my house. Like a good citizen I took it to verizon and they said it was reported missing but they let me keep it.
Currently I use the LG Optimus V on VM and was just curious to see if it is possible to get help making the Droid 2 work for VM. I have done about a weeks worth of research and a few failed attempts myself without much luck, and I hear a lot of different answers on what's possible...any help?
It is possible, but extremely hard, only a very experienced hacker could do it. So hard that most people consider it impossible.
Hit that thank button if I helped!
I take it that's why no one has posted any useful tutorials for this kind of thing...is there anyone out there willing to help me out, cuz my optimus is starting to act weird even after a couple factory resets
There is someone that may help, he put the Evo on Verizon.
Hit that thank button if I helped!

Implement toggles on xt890

Hi everyone,
I am starting to work on implementing toogles on the statusbar of our phone. I am aware we have alternatives such as Power toggles but I do not like the way it works. I was wondering if someone out there has done something like that or is working on it? I am willing to share the little knowledge that I have on it and maybe we could get something done about it!
I intend to use this thread to update on any eventual updates I have and, if everything goes well, maybe something usefull.

Hey rao.xh, i have seen and used them all. I think they are ok, but I'd like to have something already build into it. But I surely appreciate your reply. I am actually making some progress in it and think I might be close to something that can be tested.
good idea pacobahyba, lets see your work soon.

@pacobahyba since the toggles in stock android 4.2 are only framework edits, do you thing you're able to bring that to RAZR i?

Hi cupioscire,
I have yet to look into that but it is a good tip. For most of the ways I found to do this, they were mere mods of the structure already present on the system. As it turns out we do not have that on our phone (or at least I can´t find it anywhere). So I did find something that compiles and now I am trying to get systemui to stop FCing. My programming skills are not so great so this is actually taking longer than I´d like... but I will not give up!

Hey guys, so here's a quick update. i was actually able to compile everything but I keep getting SystemUI FC. I am working with a couple of friends of mine that are willing but we kinda needed a established dev to help us out. from what I can tell looking at logcat we have a driver appointment issue. We can solve it but it will take a while, so, if you are a dev and you're willing to help, just PM me. I will gladly share what we have so far and will be glad to discuss it! Let's get the word out there!
Thanks!

Hi Kieranc88, I can tell you that this will not die easily. am already reaching out to a few personal friends that are more experienced on this. I absolutely love the phone and it is stupid that we do not have such simple thing. I am already working on this. I wanted to give everyone that replied a heads up and a update. That was all
