Here's the APK: http://www.multiupload.com/SBINJ599VZ and here: http://www.box.net/shared/gz54eltud9
I tried installing on my HTC G2 with Root Explorer and got a simple 'Application Not Installed' response - anyone know why?
Any developers want to help try to port this to work on all phones? It *does* seem to require v2.2 Froyo (which I have).
It probably requires Samsung's Touchwiz (or whatever it's called) to work, so it more than likely wont work unless you have a Galaxy S phone.
It works well on my Vibrant with the Team Whiskey Bionix-V 1.2 Gingerbread Edition ROM, which, as I understand it, lacks TouchWiz. It's more or less just copy/paste clips together with PowerPoint-ish transitions.
Point is it works.

Awesome, that implies it should be able to work on other devices - need to find some devs who know how to explore this sort of thing.
It doesn't have anything to do with TouchWiz. Since its made by Samsung they've probably done something to ensure it works with just the Galaxy Family.
Installed, nothing but fc's, uninstall - samsung epic 4g rooted (no custom rom)

bugs fixed?
I downloaded it about a week ago from samsung apps, and the editor fails on export every time.
I couldn't install it on my EVO at all. I'm rooted with stock froyo. Anybody have any success with this much needed app.
I hope we get this working for our Evos.

yay! succesfully exported an edited movie (33sec 720x480) on my unrooted SGS!!!
it seemed to hang at the 90% mark during export, screen timed out (battery saving settings) but when I awoke the phone... the video editor had done its magic.
Nice!

ok, here's a sample of video editor's export...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77OLoJxVm-U
All done from my unrooted Samsung Galaxy S i9000
I recorded at 720x480, exported at same resolution.
movie is only 6Mb for 52sec, so the quality degrades (?) Looks fine on the phone, though!
firts bit has the sepia effect, second bit is a still image (plank) third bit is without effect applied tot it, last bit has grayscale effect applied.
some things I son't like about the app:
- can't add titles to movie (no type tool)
-transitions work but not on a moving image (it just freezes the last/first frame as a still image and then applies the transition)
-you can add a soundtrack, but it does not replace the original soundtrack but adds it to the recorded sound.
-export is vague! it seems to hang on 90%, but apparently does work...
some things I like:
+well it's an editor! and it works!

Yes, I know. As far as I know, only the one that is predefined works for all Android phones. If I can find more codes, I update the app. immediately.
EDIT: I updated the app with some codes that work on most Android phones
Nice work. But i have a layout prob. Im not able to see some entries (can't scroll), and therefore, layout is f*ckd
we need scrollbars
phone: HTC Hero
So far, only the first button/code works on Nexus One. Anyone knows the other codes?
thanks for the app - on HTC Desire works only first code btw.
thanks but...
app has potential, but for the time being none of them have worked on my slide and the layout problem causes some issues, try either setting buttons to half screen size and putting them side by side(two per row) or letting us scroll. thanks
Nothing works on the evo. It just opens the dialer
I will have to hit the code thread in the evo forums and update the codes
nice job........

Really, more buttons?
Good App, I like the ability to change the buttons. These phone code programs are rough to make work on every phone they really have to be geared toward a specific phone because each phone uses different codes for different stuff. Here is one I made for the Galaxy S Series: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=772690
Some phones have the ability to type codes blocked out also (epic4g).

Just use it for the DVR management, definitely worth it. You can use the channel guide or search by time and even future dates. Much better than the mobile website. That alone is worth the download.
If you search the actual available content to watch it is all older programming and select channels. This is not a "slingbox" replacement app by any means. All the U300 package will give you with this app is the ability to download and watch certain older programming. Sorry should have clarified my above post.

U-Verse on Droid
Hi there. I installed the U-verse mobile app on my Verizon Droid. (Thanks for that!) It seems to work fine until I attempt to download shows to my phone from the 'Show Library.' I get a message saying it can't be done because of system issues. Has anybody else had success downloading shows? Or does my not being on AT&T's actual network prevent me from doing it?
Thanks,
ej
Can't say for sure that it is from not being on AT&T's network but it looks to be that way. I can't download and watch shows on my EVO. I said all along that when they finally did release an Android App it would probably only be compatible with AT&T android phones. the bastards!
Had the same problem. Make sure you are on WiFI and then try it a few times. It will eventually work. Im running original droid as well.
Hmmn
jim, I've tried it with Wi-Fi and 3G, both ways get me this message "Cannot Subscribe. Thank you for your interest. Subscription cannot be completed at this time due to system issues. Please try again later."
This happens when I click Agree to Terms of Service, and the denial message appears instantaneously, as if it's a built in denial that shows before a connection is even attempted.
Maybe there is a setting on my phone I don't know about?
Question:
When I install the app, one of the things it asks for is permission to call phone numbers. I can understand why it asks for other permissions, like changing network connectivity (downloading shows only over wifi).... but I can't figure out what the app does that needs phone call permissions. Does anybody have any insight on this?
Btw, the app works great on my phone. Can't download shows, as I only have U200. For those who have previously posted about not being able to install the app on your phone, the user guide says it works on android 2.1 and higher, for phones on the list. (I didn't see a list, though).
Works on the vibrant after hours of trial and error.not much to download and watch though.

Got it working...
Not sure how though.
I thought I'd be able to watch shows I had recorder to the DVR, but that was hoping for too much I guess.
This is originally from dailymobile.se forum. I hope, that it is not a problem, that I share it here,THX Guys!
I´ve tested it on my rooted galaxy tab P1000XXJMA and it works without problems.

Installation:
1,download attached file
2,Send it to Your device
3,Install it! - The Music and JumperTest icons appear in your menu
Simple isn´t it?You don´t need to replace anything in system files.REALLY
One of installed icon is JUMPERTEST! What is that all about? As far as we can tell, using all of our intuition powers, is that this is the key to streaming all of your music – from your desktop and from the cloud, back down to your handset. Sounds like a big deal? That’s because it totally is. This right here could be the key to spurring up competition for the iPod. Holy crap can you even believe it?
When you’re in the JumperTest app, take a peek under your Controls tab – you’ll see Start Peer, Stop Peer, and Import Local Media. Neato! Then when you’re back in the Music Player app, check under Music settings – there are straight up options for streaming. It even appears that you’ll be able to cache streamed music for later use – fabulous!
Then there’s a search function you can use on any song – all you’ve got to do is a longpress and it pops up with multiple options – the coolest of which right now is the ability to move right to YouTube. You like the song and want to see if there’s a music video to go with? Easy!
And here comes some more screenshots:
I hope You will like it! And don´t forget, that this is only testing version: stability can´t be as good as expected and some functions (like Equalizer) aren´t included.
Have a nice day!
Matty

You have to remember that this app is not indicative of how the TAB will run Honeycomb or even Honeycomb apps. This .apk is Beta (at best) it may even be alpha. Once Honeycomb is released on ASOP, then we can see how the Honeycomb .apks will work on the TAB.
hmm, let's hope so
coz i really2 want honeycomb for my tab ^^
Nice looking player, can't wait to see the final and stable versions appear. Does this come with a widget or is it too early for such things?
Thx for posting though
There is a widget. You can add it on Your homescreen as usual:Left menu icon->Add->Widgets->Music....and here it comes but it doesn´t show the album art, just name of the file and possibility to stop the music or skip to another track.....works like a charm
There is a problem parsing the package.

I have v0.8.1 on my phone, and for some reason its not working for me either.
Actually, its kinda weird. It worked perfectly fine on my Evo running Froyo before I rooted. Then I rooted a couple weeks ago and flashed CM7.1. Now its saying "Failed to start server. Please check that you have ROOT access...blah blah blah," even though I've granted it Superuser permission. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the like. I know CM7 has built-in screenshot feature, but Shootme is a lot easier when taking multiple/quick screenshots. Anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this, or know of any good alternatives?
XDA TV (Dark Edition) v1.2
Warning: If the app isn't working, just drop me an email or post the problem here, you don't need to rate the app with 1 star and comment like: "The app isn't working". Thanks for the support
Now you can have all the XDA TV videos wherever you go using this application. Now on your phone, if you have a tablet you should get it here, also you can get the "normal theme" version here.
As many of you have seen, the tablet application got an update, featuring a new feed(that is hosted on my own server), description text and a poster image for each video. I'm now working to bring all of this to the phone version, so stay tuned. Maybe later today it will be finished
I've been working on this for a week. Making the layout using HTML and CSS3 was easy, but I got a lot of problems while trying to make the code work on Android, so I took a bit more to match the code for Android. At the time I can't find another way to open up the videos without firing up the browser to redirect to the Video application, the OS has a lot of problems with HTML5 Video tag so I've done it like this.
The technologies used on this application:
PhoneGap
iScroll
jQuery
HTML5 and CSS3

Hi, don't know if this is just me but the app doesn't work for me. I get no response when i click on the icon. I am running a DHD with CM7 in case that helps. I'll give the normal verion a go now and see if that works.
EDIT: I uninstalled and installed the 'normal' phone version, i get a bit further: a black screen and then an application error "THe connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)"
Hope that helps?
I have also a problem, i cant select the first item in the list. (Phone Edition)
Uh... where's the dl link?

First Problem: I'm trying to solve this. Strangely PhoneGap is having bugs to work on some ROMs.
Second Problem: That means the app took too long to contact the server(usually because your connection is slow at the time). Just try again and it might work.

I've tested this on both and I had no problem with it on my Galaxy S, Droid and Touch Pro2(Froyo).

Thanks for looking into it, I seem to be having problems with the ' normal' phone version too. Let me know if there is anything you need to know, or if you want some testing done.

I have the same problem as in the "EDIT:" above...
The "The connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)" problem will be rolling out tomorrow, since it's a server fix and I'll only have time to do it tomorrow, this is happening because your connection might be slow and the app is trying to fetch the entire XDA TV library(all the episodes since the first one), which is causing timeouts. The solution will be to remove the very very old episodes, making the list smaller and reducing the problems with timeouts.
A new version of the app might come out later that will support reading the "old archive", which will be created tomorrow.
PS: I'm having tests this week on the university, plus I need to work, so I'm not having much time to develop
Thanks, will await the fix

Just pushed the server-side fix. I'll be working to replace the black screen on the opening with a fancy splash screen
The feed doesn't seem to be updating on this app. Been checking it for a bit now and it doesn't update while there are newer episodes out. The last one showing on this app is "Nexus, Ice Cream Sandwich, and a Contest to win an HTC Amaze 4G", which is a bit outdated. Anyone else having this problem?
-Mike
Sorry, I've been working hard and also trying to completely redesign the XDA TV app so I can't update the feed, but I'll try to do it today.
Sorry
