[Q] HTC Wildfire root

hi guys!
-I would like to know can i upgrade my friends HTC Wildfire to Android 2.1 because i heard 2.2 is not rootable, or is it? beacuse all posts about rooting 2.2 are old...
-what is cyanogen mod exactly for? I heard it is like a stand-alone os, not just a mod...
Please answer me how shoul I upgrade and mod my friends Wildfire....

First of all, this should be at Wildfire section.
Secondly, go to Wildfire (Buzz) section--> Wildfire Android Development --> The first post named [REF] Complete Index [ROMs/Radios/Kernels/RUUs] for the Wildfire
There you have all the Custom ROMs and things. If you just want official Froyo rootable, scroll down to point 5. RUUs -> a) SAFE Flash zip files
Of course you need to know how to root the Wildfire and flashing a new ROM. You have guides in the same post.
Cyanogenmod is a greatly modded android and improved for many phones. CM7 brings Gingerbread 2.3 to many phones.

[Q] Missing featured apps ??

I need your help guys and devs for one problem. I had to downgrade from wildhero (2.3.3 sense) to 2.1 cuz I needed more stable rom for a few days. I choosed one and flashed it, but the market didn't show most of the featured apps, like Skype, My Tracks, Google Sky Map, Xda devs, Tapatalk and many more. I used Search and it's the same - they're not in the results.I thought its location problem but it isn, cuz after a lot flashing different roms I haven't any problems till now. Tried 3 different 2.1 sense roms - its the same - same missing apps. Now when I flashed back this wildhero 2.3.3 sense rom (ver1.2.1) everything is fine , like it should be. I think its 2.3.3 Sense problem , somehow it restricts old android`s version market.. its wired... could you help me somehow ?? please its important to know !!

The Android market will not display any apps which are written specifically for newer OS versions on older ones:

Man , I know that, Im not so stupid...Imagine you downgrade from Froyo to Eclair and when U open the Market - most of the usual apps U can see in Eclair are misiing. Thats whats going on here.

ya same here i want too on my phone.Thanks Dear Developer i have flashed 7.5 on HTC hd7 and its working fine,, but i need to ask one question how can i install Android 2.2 on same hd7 i want to run dual Roms both windows 7.5 & android 2.2 is it possible if yes please guide if not then how can i flash only android 2.2 on this PDA ?

maybe devs are still working on it..i think wp7 os is awsome but i still want to see an hd7 running android os like hd2 right we can only flash custom roms made by cookers out here

as of right now, no, you can't flash android on the hd7 from what I remember...only the hd2.

[Q] Camcorder doesn't work quite right on my HTC HD2 android 2.2

I have since a few days android 2.2 on my HTC HD2. Since yesterday works my camecorder not right. When I want to make a video is evereything normal. BUT when I want to stop it, everything disappears. I can't do anything only going back to home with the home button. And when I go back to my camcorder there is only a black screen. I can't make videos or photo's than.
I've searching long and I think I must update my ROM..is that correct??? But I don't know where I can find it...
How can I fixe this?? please help..

it is probably due to camcorder not working in most android roms (apart from much earlier ones).
Not much you can do about it, but check out the rom thread.

In the HD2 forum under Android you can find much rom's. Take a look at the nand rom from Dorimanx or the Typhoon rom from tytween. There are also instructions how to install that rom.

All right thanks both . but... I have android 2.2, doesn't matter if I take the one of typhoon or Dorimanx?? because it says that's android version 2.3.3. and android version 2.3.5

No that doesn't matter. You can install any android nand rom that is made for the hd2 on your HTC HD2.
But when you install another rom, make a back-up from your data. Because you're gonna lose it if you switch to a different rom.
I have the rom from Dorimanx on my phone and that works great.
But you can decide for yourself which rom you want.

I hvae found it i think...but wat's mirror 1 or mirror 2?? and when I click on downoad there comes a list of roms, which one should I take??

Hi just wanted to know if there is still some development going on on the Android for HTC Touch Pro? Id love to boot nativli android to the phone, WM is dead and i dont want to change the phone its runing grate just the OS suxx booting Android from WM is woking but replaicing the WM rom whit Android ROM wold be grat
