Database Info

need for speed will not install

Can't install need for speed. when it goes to download the extra data from the wife network it comes up with and error that says unsupported device. I thought I was getting a deal on the new low price of some of the eamobile games but looks like I wasted a buck.
any one know how to get it to work?

the version of need for speed shift currently in the market does not support the galaxy tab, it says this in the description text.

Are you sure? It works on mine, and also had the option to download it from samsung apps

yes. if you are lucky and the app is in your samsung apps store, then that is the galaxy tab version. the one in the market says in the description text: galaxy tab not supported

+ it may not even install on other tabs, because maybe it will look at what firmware version or cell provider you have....

Well I downloaded some demos of a couple gameloft HD games that aren't on my market or Samsung apps, they seemed to install fine.(asphalt5 and some army one)

That's Gameloft though. They make games specifically for certain devices, but EA have a Tab version (which only seems comparable on a few Tabs) then a general one.
My NFS from Samsung Apps installed fine, but once I'm in a race the Tab becomes unresponsive. Except tilt.

Order & Chaos for Infuse

Has anyone successfully installed Order & Chaos on the Infuse? Seeing as the Infuse is such a close cousin to the Galaxy S phones and most of those phones officially support O&C, it seems like it should work fine on the Infuse but I haven't seen any threads about it.

it appears to be one of those high quality game loft games. they code games for the hardware and they may check the build.prop for compatability, so even a compatible device might not play the game if they havent added the device to there supported list. if it is in the market it may work if it is gameloft website only you may need to register the phone number and claim what carrier you have, they haven't really been supporting att devices for some reason, i didnt have much success downloading there games by anyones instruction but others claim it works. good luck, let us know your results!
i hate that they have all the checks because anyone with root and chianfire 3d can run games for other chipsets just fine. why not detect the gpu and cpu and have one universal install that has coding for several different api's? would it make the game that much bigger?

Yeah, it basically is WoW for your phone. I've been playing it for a couple of months on an old iPhone 3GS, an HTC Inspire and on my ASUS Transformer. If an MMORPG is your cup of tea, I can't recommend Order and Chaos enough.
Anywho, Order & Chaos is not officially supported on the Transformer but I was able to get it to work by rooting it, downloading the game cache manually, and using Titanium Backup to install an "all devices" version of the game. I haven't rooted the Infuse yet and I was hoping there would be a way to install Order & Chaos without rooting but it sounds like rooting might be the only way.

If you're up to try it, follow the instructions here:

Download the cache file referenced there and unzip it to /gameloft/games . Then PM me your email address and I'll send you the download link to the Titanium Backup backup of the game (I would post it here but I think it's considered warez). Then you unpack the TiBu backup to /TitaniumBackup , open TiBu, and restore the game from there.
Edit: I should mention that I don't know of this will actually work on the Infuse but this is how it worked on the Transformer.

with branding and market keys you won't see every app. use http://market.android.com to see all the apps. apps will push to the phone, or you can get the site from the phone if you change the useragent in the browser.

It is incompatible with the Infuse. I was looking at it yesterday and the market through the browser said it was a no go. I was disappointed, honestly.

It's not officially supported, but it works just fine. I don't understand why Gameloft does this with some of their games - they make their games available only for specific devices - but Order & Chaos definitely works with the Infuse. Use the .apk that zeus408 provided (I think it was the 9th post in this thread).

Downloaded and plays fine on my infuse but wont download on my buddies motorolla droid. I used the same apk as I did on my phone.

Weird, just downloaded this on my work pc, then e-mailed it to my gmail. In the e-mail, next to the attachment, when viewing on my phone, there is an "Install" button right there in the e-mail, which acted just like .apk installer. Is that a feature of APK installer, or what? Either way, that's pretty damn cool...

yep video is the only part that interested me

The app, watch espn has some games, but you need to be a subscriber of a company that supports it, like verizon. Also idk if this app is still on the market but justin tv player had a lot of games, ustream had a few. I have been using m.veetle.com lately tho. All of these have worked when i wanted to catch a game in class (;

I usually download them Free, If I like I buy. I like to try apps and games out before wasting money on them. This is Definitely worth the $2.50, also tried the apps Cache Cleaner Pro and Battery Widget Pro. Ended up paying for them.
Not trying to be a smartass, But a lot of custom Roms here use a lot of Warez apps. Tibu being just 1 of the 10 I've seen.

TiBu is not warez. its actually a free app in the market. you can buy the license to use the extra features separately

I don't remember which 1 of the Roms it was but it was 1 of the I9000 Roms, It has Tibu Full Version, Not Free.

If it does change, and become a paid App from Amazon, then it becomes warez and you have to remove it. I don't think it will, because right now Amazon's got exclusivity over it. Plus, the games a bit like Temple Run, where you're encouraged to make "in-game purchases" to make revenue for the dev-company.
Thanks for the link, I tried for an hour to install Amazon AppStore, create a fake name, us address and credit card numer... to still get a "sorry not available in your country".
Should've used a vnc or something to "spoof" the isp to a USA one... but that would take too long for something not so important.

Another way to get it is by downloading the Amazon App and get the app from there. The Amazon App and the Game are both free. Have fun with it ;D
